    A bad email list manager can irritate your subscribers and put you in the spam/promo tab. A good one can double your email revenue. Here are two things to look for in a good one: #1 - They audit your email platform before taking your money. A doctor won't diagnose you with a heart problem just by talking to you. They are going to want to run some tests. In the same way, I won’t know exactly what you need and the best way to help you until I take a look at your email platform. If I see what you've been doing, I'll know the fastest and least expensive ways to improve it. Most freelancers don't do this for some reason. This step can be skipped if there’s a time crunch, but you’ll get the best results if you let me review your emails first. #2 - The samples they send you aren't filled with clickbaity writing and pushy sales tactics Look, there’s a time and place for using phrases like “just 3 hours left to get 50% off,” or “sign up now because there are only 2 spots left.” Tactics like that can get you short-term results sometimes. The problem is that it irritates your audience, leads to unsubscribes, and your emails often get marked as spam/promotions. I prefer to get sales by building a connection with your audience. Then they’ll want to buy from you before we even offer them anything.
