1️⃣ We find WHERE IS CONVERSION BOTTLE-NECK with an in-depth funnel and user journey analysis. The goal is not only to understand where your website leaking the most money but also to find what funnel step or flow blocks the growth of the whole business.
For example, if the bottleneck is on checkout, but you optimize landing pages it will give only 20-50% of potential uplift because users will still drop-off on checkout.
2️⃣ Then UNCOVER THE REASONS OF THOSE LEAKS with a combination of quantitative (Google Analytics/ Mixpanel / Kissmetrics, etc) and qualitative research (heat maps, scroll maps, forms analytics, surveys, user testing, interviewing your sales, marketing, customer support teams, etc.)
What are the users' needs and problems, what objections they have, how they understand the value proposition? CRO is more about persuasion technics and fixing user's problems rather than testing button color.
