Hello! My name is Jorge Padilla and I am a vocal performer and recent graduate from Swarthmore College. Over the years, I have performed in various selective choral groups, including the Philadelphia All City Choir as a soloist in 2020. I have received classical voice training from professional opera singer Lara Nie and professional vocal coach and pianist Debra Scurto-Davis. I was a recipient of the Shang-How Music Fund in 2023, which funded my trip to Thessaloniki, Greece to perform in an opera production for the 9th Summer Music Performance Program ACT/ A Division of Anatolia College. I was also a recipient of the Freeman Scholarship in 2023, which covered 100% of student musician lesson fees up to $1500 per semester and funded part of my senior voice recital. I have experience singing in many languages, including English, Italian, German, French, Latin, Spanish, Russian, Hebrew, Visayan, Xthulu, Zulu, Venda, and Cree. I also have perfect pitch, and I am a beginner pianist. I am quite expressive with my voice and I have a wide vocal range, so I am able to change the sound or tone of my voice depending on what the context is.
