My name is Kim Finister and I would like to present my story. It covers many years but I will briefly highlight what I have to offer as a seamstress. My passion for sewing includes fabrics, fashion, designing, clothing, costumes and home décor items. While raising my family, I worked in the business world in the accounting field, so these details appear in my resume. During that time I sewed my children’s school clothes, holiday and special occasion outfits along with some of my own wardrobe and household items. I have been sewing for over 40 years and I have learned many techniques in perfecting my skills along the way. In recent years I have produced many adult and children’s outfits, dresses, costumes, purses, gift bags, backpacks, drapes, cushions, with my motto being “you imagine it, I’ll create it”…stepping out of my comfort zone when asked and loving the finished results. Some costumes were created and others copied (as in Disney Princesses). I can submit photos of some of my work for your review. I am a very detailed person and my love of sewing is now my full time occupation. I have a sewing studio in my home complete with a cutting table, a variety of machines which include heavy duty sewing machines, sergers and two embroidery machines.
