I am seeking an experienced industrial designer or product designer to evaluate the feasibility of a new consumer product concept called CODEX. CODEX is a premium refillable bookmark pen designed for readers. Key Features: * 6” overall length * 4.75” bookmark body * 1.25” exposed grip above book * Twist-to-deploy ballpoint pen * No cap * Uses replaceable D1 refill * Flexible spring-steel bookmark body * Soft-touch premium finish * Integrated page-stop shoulder I am NOT looking for full CAD development at this stage. I am looking for: 1. Feasibility assessment 2. Internal layout recommendation 3. D1 refill integration concept 4. Twist mechanism recommendation 5. Durability review 6. 2–3 refined concept sketches/renderings The primary question is: Can a premium bookmark remain approximately 1.5–2.0 mm thick while incorporating a D1 refill, twist mechanism, page-stop shoulder, and spring-steel core? Please provide: * Relevant product design experience * Examples of pens, stationery products, EDC products, or small mechanisms * Estimated timeline Successful completion may lead to a second project for CAD and prototype development. Initial budget $250 to $500.

We are looking for an experienced manufacturing/process engineer to help design and optimize fixtures, tooling, and small equipment for new medical device assembly processes. The work will focus on several bonding steps, including UV adhesive bonding, where we need to improve repeatability, efficiency, operator usability, and manufacturing cost. The consultant should be able to help evaluate current processes, recommend improvements, design practical fixtures, and support implementation of cost-effective manufacturing solutions. Ideal experience includes medical device manufacturing, catheter or small-device assembly, UV adhesives, adhesive dispensing, fixture design, process optimization, benchtop equipment, semi-automation, and design for manufacturability. Deliverables may include fixture concepts, CAD models/drawings, prototype fixture recommendations, process improvement recommendations, and basic manufacturing documentation. We are looking for someone practical and hands-on who can help develop real-world manufacturing solutions, not just theoretical concepts. Experience supporting R&D-to-manufacturing transfer in a regulated environment is a strong plus.

Project: Custom USB Port Panel — Physical Part Modification I'm mailing you a small glossy black plastic automotive dash blank that already fits flush in its mounting location. I need it modified to incorporate one or two USB-C ports on its front face. What I need: One USB-C port minimum, two preferred if structurally workable Ports must sit flush or very slightly recessed — not protruding Front port will be plugged/unplugged several times weekly — needs to be solid, no wobble Rear port (if two) is semi-permanent once installed — still needs firm seating Finished piece must fit its mounting location exactly as the original does The job itself is conceptually simple but requires a careful, skilled hand — the blank is small, the tolerances matter, and the finish needs to remain clean. This isn't complex engineering, just precise craftsmanship. Regarding 3D printing: I'd like a small 3D printed housing designed to hold the USB-C ports securely within the blank — essentially a snug bracket the ports snap or press into, which then mounts cleanly to the back of the blank. This avoids epoxying directly to the port metal and gives a proper stable mounting point. Housing material should be heat-tolerant (PETG preferred). Important: Please modify the original blank rather than reprint — the highly glossy black finish is not replicable via 3D printing. What I'm mailing: The original blank Two USB-C cables — ports can be harvested directly from these Timeline: No rush — quality over speed. If unable to complete: Please return all mailed components unused.

Hello, My name is Juan and I am looking to start a business in go kart rentals. I have a custom design in mind and am beginning to do my research while I move forward. I am reading that my custom go kart chassis has to be ASTM F2007 compliant and I was wanting to get a quote for how much it would cost. I have already sourced several components for my design, I just need a chassis that can bring all the components together and meets the standard. Let me know what information you need from me to be able to get a quote from you for a custom go kart chassis. Thank you.
