We've been building our platform for the past year and have a solid, web app up and running. We’ve built a health ecosystem where users can track labs, sync their wearables, and order medications—managing everything from one place with seamlessly shared data across decisions. Now, we need a Product Designer to join us. Someone who will actually listen to our users, understand why they signed up, and dig deep into their pain points. Someone who understands health tech/labs/longevity We want to completely avoid generic AI slop; this needs to feel personal, human, and visually beautiful. We’re not looking for someone to just polish buttons. We need a Product Designer who will craft a unique identity and build a design system that makes our users feel genuinely understood.

I'm looking for an experienced mechanical/product development engineer with expertise in consumer products, injection molding, and prototype-to-manufacturing development. I have a rough garage prototype that has been built and tested. The design now needs to be refined so it can survive real use, and be manufactured consistently. I'm looking for an engineer to help solve the remaining engineering challenges, refine the design, and develop a production-ready product. I need a removable attachment that can withstand household water pressure, seal reliably, attach without tools, be inexpensive to manufacture, and survive repeated use. My goal is to create a reliable, manufacturable design and prepare it for an initial pilot production run of 100–200 units. Experience with Design for Manufacturing (DFM), material selection, CAD development, and prototype refinement is highly preferred.

Project Overview The product is a compact electromechanical liquid dispensing and mixing device that combines precision fluid handling, rotating mechanical components, motors, sensors, and embedded electronics into a small desktop form factor. The overall product concept, workflow, and design direction have already been established. I have reference sketches, a cad model, design documentation, and a vision of how the system could function. There are a handful of engineering hurdles that I would like to work through collaboratively before transitioning into detailed CAD development. Once those challenges have been solved, the next phase will be creating a prototype-ready SolidWorks assembly that can be used for physical prototyping and iterative testing. What I’m Looking For I’m interested in working with someone who has significant experience developing real-world hardware products, particularly products that combine mechanical systems with electronics. Experience in any of the following is highly desirable: * IoT or connected hardware devices * Medical devices * Laboratory or diagnostic equipment * Precision fluid handling or dispensing systems * Robotics or automation equipment * Consumer electromechanical products * Products involving motors, sensors, and embedded electronics Responsibilities * Collaborate on solving key mechanical engineering challenges. * Develop practical, manufacturable design solutions. * Design the complete mechanical assembly in SolidWorks. * Package mechanical and electrical components into a compact enclosure. * Recommend improvements that simplify manufacturing, assembly, and reliability. * Produce prototype-ready CAD suitable for 3D printing and functional evaluation. Preferred Qualifications * 8+ years of product or mechanical engineering experience. * Expert-level proficiency with SolidWorks. * Demonstrated experience bringing physical products from concept through prototype. * Strong understanding of electromechanical systems and design for manufacturability. * Excellent mechanical problem-solving skills with the ability to explain engineering decisions and tradeoffs. To Apply Please include: 1. Examples of hardware products you’ve designed. 2. Photos, renders, or links to physical prototypes you’ve helped develop. 3. A brief description of your role on those projects. I’m looking for someone interested in building a long-term working relationship as this product evolves from prototype through future design iterations.

We have developed a premium outdoor architectural consumer product concept and need an experienced SolidWorks engineer to convert an existing, well-developed product concept into production-ready CAD and engineering documentation. This is not an open-ended invention project. We already have concept renderings, component layouts, packaging concepts, target dimensions, and product requirements. The product utilizes fabricated sheet-metal components, hidden mounting features, and optimized shipping requirements. Concept development has been completed. We are looking for an engineer to finalize the mechanical design and provide Design for Manufacturing recommendations. We need someone who can develop the production-ready mechanical CAD model and advise on manufacturability, part count, material gauge, mounting systems, shipping optimization and fabrication efficiency. Required deliverables: SolidWorks assembly Individual part files STEP files STL files for 3D printing Sheet metal flat patterns where applicable Exploded assembly view Preliminary BOM Basic manufacturing drawings DFM recommendations Design Review Memo (recommended engineering improvements) Selected candidates will first review our concept package under a mutual NDA. We expect an initial design review meeting followed by iterative CAD development, design-for-manufacturing recommendations, and preparation of files suitable for prototype fabrication and 3D printing. Ideal experience: SolidWorks sheet metal Consumer product development Outdoor products Powder-coated steel or aluminum Weldments / brackets / fabricated assemblies Design for manufacturing Prototype development We are looking for a practical product development partner who can translate a developed concept into CAD and help identify improvements before fabrication. We are more interested in finding the right engineer than the lowest hourly rate.

Description: I'm launching a novelty golf product and need a manufacturing-ready 3D CAD file created from a concept render and written spec. The product: A golf divot repair tool shaped like a stylized hand/fist with the middle finger extended (humorous novelty item). It includes a bottle-opener head at the top and two divot-repair prongs at the base. In the center of the handle, there's a small circular magnetic ball marker insert (separate piece, magnetically removable) bearing our logo. Two pieces needed: The main tool body (hand/fist + bottle opener + divot prongs) A small circular magnetic ball marker insert (~20–25mm diameter) that seats into a recess in the handle Requirements: Final files in both .STEP and .STEP and .STL formats Designed for zinc alloy die casting (correct draft angles, minimum 2mm wall thickness) Overall tool length ~90–100mm Recess/seat designed for a magnet or steel disc insert so the marker piece sits flush and is held magnetically Clean, manufacturable surfaces — no overly complex undercuts 4+ rendered preview images (front, back, side, 3/4 view) of the assembled product What I'll provide: A reference concept image A detailed written design brief with dimensions and style notes Budget: $150–350 depending on experience, with 2 rounds of revisions included. Ideal freelancer: Has experience designing products for die casting or injection molding (not just rendering/visualization work). Portfolio should include real manufactured products, not just architectural or animation projects. Please share relevant past work in your proposal, and confirm you can deliver both .STEP and .STL formats.

I have drawings which specify product dimensions, as well as renderings (in photoshop and jpgs) of the product for you to work from. It's a complex device but I don't need a functioning prototype, only an aesthetic one. The prototype needs to be created by using 3D files to 3D print the device in pieces or sections, which will need to be assembled to create the finished product. The stretch goal is to build in some basic mechanical functionality (if possible) - details to be provided. I will be using this proto for presentations, so it will need to look like the real thing.
