Description We are building Cardinal Hearts, a Stanford-centered digital wellness and anonymous peer support platform designed to help students navigate romantic relationships--share experiences, seek support, access personalized resources, and foster meaningful reflection in a psychologically safe environment. The platform will be fully accessible across both mobile and desktop devices, with a seamless, intuitive experience on each. We are looking for a talented full-stack developer to build a high-resolution functional MVP/prototype with scalable frontend and backend architecture. This is not a traditional social media platform — the interaction model should feel intentional, supportive, privacy-conscious, and community-centered. --- Core Features Frontend Development We need a modern, clean, responsive application that works seamlessly across: * Mobile devices * Tablets * Desktop/laptop browsers Key features include: * Anonymous posting feed * Post creation flow * Stanford-inspired branding/aesthetic * Tagging/filter system: * “Seeking Advice” * “Just Wanted to Share” * User onboarding/login flow * Saved/bookmarked posts * Ability to “follow/save” posts for later viewing * Personal Diary feature (see below) * Responsive UI optimized for both mobile and desktop --- Community Interaction Features We want engagement to feel emotionally supportive rather than performative social media. Features include: * “I Resonated” reaction button on posts * Anonymous resonance counts visible publicly * Optional sorting/filtering by most resonated posts * Private “This Didn’t Resonate” feedback option (not visible to other users; used only for internal analytics and personalization) * Aggregate engagement signals used to improve content surfacing and recommendations --- Diary Feature (Personal Reflection System) Each user will have a **Diary**, which serves as their personal timeline of activity and reflection. Core functionality: * All public posts automatically appear in the user’s Diary, organized by date * Users can also write **private diary entries** that are never shared publicly * Clear distinction between: * Public posts (community-visible + stored in diary) * Private reflections (personal only) Diary capabilities: * Chronological timeline view of all entries * Ability to filter between public and private entries * Optional tagging of entries (e.g., reflection, advice-seeking, personal note) * Centralized place to revisit personal experiences over time --- Mood & Reflection Calendar Feature We also want a reflective mood tracking system inspired by apps like *Natural Cycles*. When users reflect or write in their diary, they can optionally select a **mood using an emoji-based system** (e.g., “Anxious 😟”, “Sad 😔”, “Calm 🙂”, etc.). Core functionality: * Users can attach a mood to each entry (optional) * Mood input should be fast and lightweight (emoji + label selection) Visualization: Users can view their data in: * Daily view (mood + associated entries) * Weekly trends * Monthly calendar or heatmap visualization of mood patterns Purpose: This feature helps users identify emotional patterns over time by connecting: * Mood states * Life events/reflections * Written posts Example: A user may notice repeated “anxious” moods on days involving a specific relationship dynamic, enabling deeper self-awareness and reflection over time. The goal is to support insight, not diagnosis — helping users better understand emotional patterns and triggers. --- Resource Library + Personalized Recommendations We are also building a curated **digital resource library** populated with materials from Stanford’s SHARE (Sexual Harassment/Assault Response & Education) office. Library may include: * Books * Articles * PDFs * Support resources * Educational materials Features: * Admin upload and management system * Categorization/tagging of resources * Personalized recommendations based on: * User posts * Diary entries * Mood data * Tag usage Recommendation system: Can initially be rules-based (no need for full AI at MVP stage) Examples: * Users expressing loneliness may be shown community/support resources * Users seeking relationship advice may receive relevant reading materials Privacy and sensitivity are critical to design. --- Analytics Dashboard (Admin/Internal) We need a basic analytics dashboard including: * Total users * Daily/weekly active users * Posts over time * Most-used tags * Most resonated-with posts * Resource engagement metrics * Repeat visitor tracking Advanced visualization requests: * Calendar view of engagement activity * Heatmap-style visualization for user engagement over time * Trend tracking for usage patterns (daily/weekly/monthly) We are open to recommendations for the best charting libraries/tools. --- Backend Development Requirements * Secure Stanford-only login/authentication * Stanford SSO preferred if feasible * Otherwise .edu-based restriction system * Database architecture and setup * Anonymous posting logic (ensuring privacy separation from identity) * User accounts and diary storage system * Saved posts/bookmarking system * Tag and category management * Moderation/reporting tools (basic MVP) * Scalable backend structure for future expansion --- Preferred Tech Stack Open to recommendations, but currently considering: * React / Next.js * Node.js * Firebase or Supabase * PostgreSQL --- Ideal Candidate * Strong full-stack web development experience * Experience building social or community platforms * Strong UI/UX instincts * Experience with authentication and secure systems * Comfortable building privacy-first products * Strong communication and fast execution mindset * Product/design thinking is a plus Bonus if you have experience with: * Anonymous social platforms * Mental wellness or student-facing products * Recommendation systems * Data visualization dashboards --- Deliverables * Functional high-fidelity MVP/prototype * Clean, documented codebase * GitHub repository handoff * Deployed staging/testing environment --- To Apply Please include: 1. We're building a confidential, AI-native operating system for high-volume plaintiff-side litigation. This is not a generic legal chatbot. It's an operating system for litigation operations — and we already have a live law firm as the proving ground, a working visual prototype, a pitch deck, and a near-term demo deadline. We need a senior full-stack engineer who can take an existing prototype, schemas, prompts, and workflow package and turn it into a secure working demo, then a production-track MVP. The right person thinks like a product architect, engineer, and security operator at once — fast, but disciplined with confidential legal data. Required: React/Next.js, TypeScript, Node or Python/FastAPI, PostgreSQL, auth and role-based access control, OpenAI or comparable LLM APIs, structured JSON/schema outputs, secure file handling, PDF/export generation, GitHub workflows, and strong security discipline. Strong plus: Legaltech, plaintiff-side litigation, case management systems (Filevine, Litify, Clio, Salesforce, HighLevel), RAG/document extraction, audit logging, and SOC 2 / PII / regulated-data experience. Ground rules: NDA required. No public repos. No real client data in the demo — sanitized data only. No API keys in browser code. No external sharing or deployment without approval. First deliverable: A build-readiness report identifying what's mock, what's reusable, and what needs rebuilding, plus architecture, security risks, database plan, API integration path, and a 7–30 day build roadmap. The path: Paid 7-day build-readiness sprint → 30-day demo sprint → longer-term technical lead / founding engineer discussion. Backend Developer Needed for Consumer Caregiver App We’re building a caregiver app that helps families keep track of a loved one’s care information, including diagnoses, medications, surgeries, notes, and tasks. This is a direct-to-consumer app, not a hospital or clinic product, so we need someone who can build a secure, privacy-first backend for sensitive health data. What you’ll build: - User authentication and account management. - Care recipient profiles. - Structured health records for diagnoses, medications, surgeries, allergies, appointments, notes, and care tasks. - Role-based sharing for multiple caregivers. - Secure file storage for documents or images. - Audit/activity logging. - Export and deletion features. - Admin tools for support and account recovery. What we need: We’re looking for a backend developer who can build a clean, secure, production-ready system with strong privacy controls. Required experience: - Strong backend development experience. - Experience with Postgres and secure API design. - Understanding of authentication, authorization, and role-based access control. - Experience with encryption, secure file storage, and logging. - Comfortable working with consumer health or sensitive data. - Ability to document architecture and hand off code cleanly. Nice to have: - Experience with healthcare, healthtech, or privacy-sensitive apps. - Experience with Supabase or AWS. - Familiarity with FTC health privacy expectations for consumer apps. - Experience designing systems that can scale into stricter compliance later. Preferred stack For this project, we’re leaning toward a cost-friendly, modern stack such as: - Front end: Lovable. - Backend: Supabase or a similar managed Postgres backend. - Auth: built-in auth with strong password/session handling. - Storage: private file storage. - Permissions: row-level security or equivalent. - Optional server logic: edge functions or a small Node service. If you think a different stack is better, explain why. Security and privacy expectations: This app will store sensitive family health information, so security matters a lot. We need the backend to include: - Encryption in transit and at rest. - Strong access controls. - Minimal data collection. - No unnecessary third-party tracking or ad-tech. - Audit logs for important actions. - Secure password handling. - Private storage and restricted file access. - Clear privacy-aware architecture. Important note: This is not a hospital backend. We do not need a complex enterprise healthcare platform on day one. We do need someone who understands how to build a secure consumer health app properly, with the option to evolve later if the product grows. Deliverables: 1. A short architecture proposal. 2. Recommended stack and rationale. 3. Basic database schema. 4. Security and permissions plan. 5. Estimated timeline and budget. 6. Build the MVP backend after approval. Please send: - A short intro. - Relevant backend projects. - Any healthcare, privacy, or sensitive-data experience. - Your preferred stack. - Your estimated cost and timeline. - One example of a backend system you’ve built that required careful permissions or security.

We're hiring a senior front-end contractor to take ownership of the front end of CMMC.builders, a production compliance-assessment platform, and then support other applications in our portfolio on an ongoing basis. The app was built quickly using Replit and AI-assisted ("vibe coding") workflows — it works, is in production, but it was not written with long-term maintainability as the top priority. We need someone who can read a large AI-generated codebase, form an independent judgment about what's solid versus fragile, and systematically bring it up to a level you'd defend in a code review at a company that values engineering. This isn’t a "rewrite everything" job. It's an audit-and-refactor process: understand what exists, identify risks, fix them without breaking production, and leave the codebase in a state a regular team could safely build on. This is a long-term role supporting a well-funded, high-stakes MVP, with real potential to turn into a full-time position for the right person. WHAT YOU'LL ACTUALLY BE DOING Phase 1 — Audit (first 1–2 weeks) Review the front-end architecture (component structure, state management, data-fetching patterns, routing, type safety) and prepare a written report on your findings, prioritized by risk and effort. Identify AI-coding issues specifically: duplicated logic, inconsistent patterns across similar features, overly broad "any" typing, prop-drilling where shared state should be, dead code, and components that mix data-fetching, business logic, and presentation. Flag any security or correctness concerns on the front end (unsanitized rendering, client-side trust of server-controlled data, broken access-control assumptions). Phase 2 — Refactor (ongoing) Carry out the refactor plan in reviewable, incremental PRs — no large-scale rewrites. Establish or tighten conventions: component boundaries, shared hooks, data-fetching layer, form/validation patterns, error and loading states. Improve type safety and eliminate unsound patterns introduced by AI-assisted coding. Add or enhance test coverage on the areas you modify. Document decisions throughout to keep the codebase understandable for the next person (human or AI). Beyond CMMC.builders Once the initial audit and top-priority refactoring are stable, you will work on front-end tasks across other applications in our portfolio — developing new features, conducting additional audits, and providing senior front-end support. OUR STACK React 19 + TypeScript, built with Vite TanStack Query for data-fetching and caching, wouter for routing Zod for schema validation Express (Node) backend, PostgreSQL via pg (no ORM — handwritten parameterized SQL) Vitest + Playwright for testing Hosted on Replit, deployed via Replit Autoscale YOU SHOULD APPLY IF You have 5+ years of production React/TypeScript experience and can cite real shipped projects, not just tutorials. You've performed codebase audits or major refactors before — not just greenfield projects. You can share a time when you inherited a messy codebase and what you actually changed. You are comfortable reading unfamiliar code quickly, forming your own judgment, and respectfully pushing back if something seems wrong — including AI-generated code that looks superficially okay. You write clearly. The audit report and PR descriptions are as important as the code. You can work independently with minimal oversight and communicate proactively, not just when prompted. NICE TO HAVE Direct experience refactoring or "productionizing" AI-generated or AI-assisted code. Familiarity with compliance, security, or regulated-industry software (this product deals with CMMC/cybersecurity compliance data). Experience using Replit as a development environment. HOW TO APPLY Your proposal must include: A one- or two-sentence example of a real audit or refactor you led on an existing codebase — what was wrong and what you did. A link to a GitHub repo or code sample showing your TypeScript/React coding style (not just a live demo link). The words "compliance refactor" are somewhere in your opening line, so we know you’ve read this posting. Proposals that are templated, copy-pasted, or don't answer the above won’t be considered, regardless of rate.

About NexHealth NexHealth is on a mission to accelerate innovation in healthcare by connecting patients, doctors, and developers through a clean, modern API platform. Think of us as the Plaid for healthcare — we've done the hard work of integrating with 15+ dental and medical Practice Management Systems (PMS) so that developers don't have to. If you've ever tried to build software that talks to a healthcare PMS, you know the pain: fragmented vendors, no public APIs, multi-month integration timelines, and messy real-world data. NexHealth has spent years solving exactly that. We're trusted by companies ranging from independent developers to publicly traded enterprises, and we're just getting started. The Opportunity: Synchronizer API Partner Network We're building a curated partner network of software development agencies to refer to our customers. Here's the context: hundreds of developers sign up to build on our Synchronizer API every single month — ranging from solo founders with a great product idea all the way to engineering teams at growth-stage companies. Many of them have a clear vision but lack the in-house bandwidth or specialized expertise to execute. Right now, we don't have a trusted shortlist of agencies to send them to. We want to change that. This is not a one-off project engagement. This is an ongoing referral relationship with a growing pipeline of warm, qualified leads — all building in a hot vertical with strong commercial demand. What Developers Build on the Synchronizer API The NexHealth Synchronizer connects to dental and medical PMS data in real time, enabling a wide range of products: - Patient Scheduling & Communications - Billing & Insurance Verification - Marketing Automation - Patient Experience Management These are real, revenue-generating SaaS products. The customers you'd work with aren't looking for MVPs — they're building production-grade software. What We're Looking For We're vetting a small number of agencies that can become go-to partners for our developer community. Ideal agencies: - Have a strong track record building production-grade REST API integrations - Can own end-to-end product development (backend, frontend, infrastructure) - Are comfortable with messy real-world data and third-party system quirks - Communicate clearly and can work directly with referred clients - Operate independently — minimal hand-holding needed - Have experience with HIPAA-compliant systems and healthcare data security Nice to Have: Prior experience in dental, medical, or healthcare software Experience building SaaS products or integration platforms How This Works - We vet your agency through this initial engagement - When a strong match exists, we refer developer customers from our community directly to you - You contract directly with the client - We invest in your success: NexHealth will actively help you ramp on our API, understand our data model, and get up to speed quickly so you can hit the ground running with referred clients - This is a long-term partnership. The better you do with referred clients, the more referrals you get. To Apply, Please Include: - Overview of your agency (size, location, typical clients) - Examples of API/integration-heavy projects you've built - Your typical engagement model (hourly vs. fixed, team structure, rates) - Technologies you specialize in - Experience (if any) in healthcare or regulated environments - How you handle client communication and project ownership Category: Full Stack Development - Skills: API Development, PHP, Java, JavaScript - Location: U.S. only - Budget: To be discussed Screening Questions: - Describe your recent experience with similar projects - Please list any certifications related to this project - Include a link to your GitHub profile and/or website
