Project Overview: I am developing a new commercial-grade rotational resistance fitness machine (COREX concept) designed for athletic performance, core training, and rehabilitation. This is not a simple CAD drawing project—I am looking for a mechanical engineer who can help bring this concept to life from early-stage design through manufacturing-ready outputs. Scope of Work: Develop a 3D CAD model of the product (Fusion 360, SolidWorks, or similar) Engineer the rotational resistance system (smooth, controlled, adjustable resistance) Design for durability, safety, and commercial use Create adjustable components for different user heights Optimize for cost-efficient manufacturing (COGS awareness) Provide: 3D assembly files Exploded views 2D engineering drawings Bill of Materials (BOM) STEP files for manufacturing About the Product Concept: The system is a standing rotational training device that allows users to generate controlled torque through the torso while maintaining lower-body stability. Key features include: Circular or ring-based rotational path Adjustable resistance (magnetic or mechanical preferred) Smooth, consistent motion (no jerky movement) Commercial-grade durability Compact footprint Sleek, modern design (inspired by high-end fitness equipment) Ideal Candidate: Mechanical engineer (not just CAD designer) Experience with: Fitness equipment OR Rotational/mechanical systems OR Resistance mechanisms Strong understanding of real-world manufacturing Ability to recommend materials and improve design Experience designing for prototype → production Project Phases: This project will be completed in phases: Phase 1: Concept CAD + movement validation Phase 2: Refined design + adjustments Phase 3: Manufacturing-ready drawings + BOM Important Notes: NDA required before sharing full concept details I will provide reference images, sketches, and a detailed spec sheet Looking for someone who can collaborate and improve the design—not just execute To Apply: Please include: Examples of similar mechanical or product design work What CAD software you use Any experience with resistance systems or fitness equipment Brief thoughts on how you would approach this project

We're building a data-driven platform in the beauty/cosmetics space. We've already collected a very large volume of scraped product and brand data, and it's messy - inconsistent formats, duplicates, missing fields, mixed languages, and unreliable values. Your job is to turn that raw data into something clean and reliable, and to build the web application on top of it. This is not a quick gig. We're looking for someone to stay with us for roughly a year and grow with the product. What you'll be doing Building and maintaining a Next.js (App Router) front end and back end Designing and managing our Supabase setup (Postgres schema, RLS policies, auth, storage, edge functions) Cleaning, normalizing, and deduplicating large beauty datasets (this is a major part of the role) Building data pipelines to process and validate incoming scraped data Writing transformation/normalization logic (units, brand names, categories, ingredients, pricing, etc.) Setting up data-quality checks and monitoring Iterating on features with us as the product evolves You should have Strong production experience with Next.js and Supabase (please point to specific projects) Solid SQL/Postgres skills - not just ORMs Real experience cleaning and normalizing large, messy datasets (Python/pandas or similar is a plus) Comfort working with scraped data and all the inconsistencies it brings Good written English and reliable communication Ability to work independently and own your part of the product Nice to have Experience in e-commerce, catalog, or product-data projects Familiarity with data pipelines / ETL tooling Some ML/NLP experience for entity matching or text cleanup Budget We expect this to run around $4,000–$5,000 USD per month depending on experience and hours. This is a long-term commitment, so stability and quality matter more to us than the lowest rate. To apply, please include: Similar past work - links or short descriptions of Next.js + Supabase projects, and at least one data-cleaning/normalization project you've done. Your time zone and your typical available hours - we need to know there's reasonable overlap. Your expected monthly budget within the range above (or your rate if hourly). Applications that don't address all three points will not be considered. A short note on how you'd approach cleaning messy beauty product data is a big plus. We read every proposal carefully and respond quickly to strong candidates. Looking forward to working with you.

I’m looking for an experienced CAD/mechanical design engineer to help refine a V2 design for a compact drone-mounted sensor payload. I already have a base design and clear feedback for the next revision. The overall design changes should be relatively minimal, but I need someone who can carefully update the CAD and validate a few critical mechanical/optical constraints. The payload involves a fixed camera and a rotating scan-head assembly used to redirect the sensor’s field of view. The goal of this V2 pass is to improve the design for weight, balance, sensor field-of-view coverage, and drone integration. Primary responsibilities: • Review the existing/base CAD design • Implement V2 design feedback and requested mechanical tweaks • Ensure the payload has a balanced center of gravity suitable for drone mounting • Use CAD and/or simulation tools to evaluate balance, mass distribution, and rotation stability • Accurately model/project the camera sensor’s field of view through the scan-head geometry • Check for field-of-view clipping, vignetting, or mechanical interference Required experience: • Strong CAD experience, ideally Fusion 360, SolidWorks, Onshape, or similar • Mechanical design experience with small assemblies • Ability to evaluate center of gravity, mass properties, and balance • Ability to model or simulate sensor field-of-view geometry • Comfortable working from an existing design rather than starting from scratch • Able to move quickly and communicate clearly Huge plus if you have experience with: • Drone payloads or UAV-mounted hardware • Lightweight mechanical design • Rotating assemblies • Optical/sensor field-of-view modeling • Cameras or imaging payloads • Electrical engineering or basic electronics integration • 3D printing / prototype-ready mechanical design Also bonus if you live in or near Southern Utah (where I'm located). Timeline: I’m looking for a quick turnaround and will hire immediately. Since this is a V2 refinement based on an existing design, I’d ideally like the updated design returned in under one week. Confidentiality / ownership: This project is confidential. All concepts, ideas, designs, CAD files, improvements, and related work product will be owned by me/my company. By accepting the job, you agree not to share, reuse, publish, or disclose any project details, files, or designs without written permission. Please include examples of relevant CAD/mechanical design work, especially anything involving drones, lightweight payloads, rotating assemblies, or sensor/optical field-of-view modeling.

We have a set of engineering plans (see attached) from the yurt manufacturer (blueridgeyurts.com). These were stamped by an engineer in VA. We need an structural engineer licensed in Massachusetts to sign off on the plans. We are planning to make a small upgrade, increasing the roof rafters to SYP #2 in order to increase the ground snow load from 40 psf (per the current rafters and design) to 50 psf required for Ashfield, MA where we are building yurt. We need someone to review those calculations and designs, confirm that the upgrade to the rafter will product the increase in snow load, and sign/stamp the plans so we can give them to building inspector to get the permit.
