Overview We're a fast-growing professional brand with three active websites — one on Shopify and two on WordPress. We're looking for a highly skilled website engineer to own all implementation work across our web properties on a long-term, project-by-project basis. This isn't a casual freelance engagement. We operate at a high standard and expect every piece of work to be fully implemented, thoughtfully executed, and built to last. If you thrive on clean work, take ownership of your output, and ask the right questions before problems become problems — you'll fit here. What You'll Work On - Website builds, rebuilds, and structural edits - Product and collection page creation - Product tagging and catalog organization - Storefront logic and conditional display rules - Landing page builds - Site performance optimization - App integrations — specifically Mipler (reporting) and AAA Membership - Ongoing maintenance and updates across all three sites How We Work You'll receive a clear brief and instructions for each project. From there, we expect you to implement with precision — flagging questions or potential issues along the way before they become problems. We don't want someone who waits to be told every detail. We want someone who reads the brief, understands the intent, and raises anything that needs clarification proactively. Work is project-based, but this is a long-term relationship for the right person. What We're Looking For - Deep, proven expertise in Shopify — Liquid templating, custom sections, metafields, storefront logic, theme customization, app integrations - Strong WordPress development skills — custom page builds, theme editing, plugin integration, performance - Experience with Mipler and/or AAA Membership app is a strong plus - Clean, organized code that doesn't create future problems - Strong communicator — you ask smart questions, flag concerns early, and don't go dark mid-project You're the Right Fit If - You've owned web properties end-to-end, not just done small edits - You understand the difference between getting something done and getting it done right - You scope before you build and think through second-order consequences - You're used to working with a business that moves fast and expects high output quality

WordPress Developer for Ongoing Multi-Site Maintenance (Agency) - Monthly Hourly Position Job Overview I run a digital marketing agency managing websites for approximately 30 small business clients. Preferably the web developer would live in or near Minneapolis, MN. The website would be simple and clean with the ability to have user logins. Once logged in, there would need to be a database (updated instantly throughout) of what is available to the users to rent/lease from each other. The website would just be the facilitator between company #1 and company #2. It would need the ability to pay on the site but it would only need to be for yearly memberships, not daily purchases. Also, each user will need an easy-to-use portal to add or remove their available inventory. As well as be able to describe their inventory with some detail and maybe a photo. Nothing special, just wanted to give some more details. Looking for a mobile friendly website as I don't believe I need to go full app with this business. I don't have the specific timeline I would need it done by but that can be discussed once we chat more about this.

Web Developer Needed: Simple Migration from Square to Self-Hosted WordPress Project Overview: I am looking for an experienced developer to help me "break free" from Square. Currently, my herbalist website is tethered to a main Square account I no longer use, and I need to move it to a completely independent, self-hosted WordPress site that I own and control. This is a one-time project to set up the new site and move my existing content (a small number of products and one blog post). Once the site is live, I am potentially open to discussing ongoing monthly marketing strategies, but my immediate priority is the successful migration and setup of the new site. Scope of Work: Platform Setup: Set up a clean, independent WordPress site using a budget-friendly hosting provider. I am looking for your recommendation for a reliable, low-cost host. Content Migration: Manually move my products and my one blog post from the old site to the new one. Domain: Guide me through the process of pointing my existing custom domain away from Square and to the new host. Total Independence: Ensure the new site is completely disconnected from any previous Square accounts so it cannot be "hijacked" or funneled through other accounts. SEO Foundation: Ensure the site is set up correctly for basic SEO so I can grow my traffic over time. Requirements & Budget: Budget-First Mindset: I am a small business owner. I am looking for a setup that keeps monthly overhead extremely low (standard shared hosting + free WordPress/WooCommerce). Please do not propose expensive "managed" enterprise-level plans. Communication: I need someone who can explain technical steps clearly so I can manage the site myself afterward. Experience: Please provide examples of previous website work. Potential for Future Work: While this is a one-time migration job, I am open to hiring someone for ongoing monthly marketing strategy if the migration goes well and we are a good fit. To Apply: Please answer the following: Have you performed migrations from Square to WordPress before? What is your recommended approach for keeping hosting costs low for a small business? What is your estimated timeline for a migration of this size (a small shop with one blog post)?

Note: I've gotten dozens of cold emails trying to go around UpWork - including to my personal email. If you send me those, they are marked as SPAM and you get blocked. I will only hire someone here. We have a Wordpress website redesign that we want some help implementing.
