About the Role We are a funded fintech startup building a first-of-its-kind platform at the intersection of digital banking and social media intelligence. Think credit scoring — but for creators and entrepreneurs. Our platform combines financial tools, OAuth-connected social data, and a proprietary scoring engine into a seamless product used by creators, small business owners, and entrepreneurs. We are looking for a Senior Full-Stack Developer to own our entire technical stack — from server infrastructure to front-end experience — and help us scale from beta into a full product launch. This is not a freelance gig. This is a full-time salaried role with real equity potential at an early-stage company that is actively raising its seed round. You will be the technical backbone of the company. You will work directly with the founding team. What You Will Be Working On A PHP/Laravel API backend serving a multi-app ecosystem across production, staging, and demo environments A vanilla JS + HTML/CSS front-end for a consumer-facing creator dashboard, public profile pages, and a verification system A proprietary scoring engine that processes consented, first-party OAuth data from platforms including X/Twitter, Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, and YouTube A digital banking portal for investor and user financial management (Mercury, Dwolla, Stripe integrations) A server infrastructure running on a dedicated Hetzner bare-metal server (Ubuntu 24, Plesk, Apache, MySQL, Redis) that you will own end to end An admin dashboard for internal team operations — user management, lending, capital, communications Upcoming work: CI/CD pipeline implementation, Redis migration to internal infrastructure, TikTok and Meta OAuth API wiring, mobile-responsive passes, and banking partner integration The Stack Backend: PHP 8.x / Laravel, MySQL, Redis Front-End: Vanilla JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3 (no framework — clean component-based architecture) Infrastructure: Ubuntu 24.04, Plesk Obsidian, Apache, Hetzner dedicated server Integrations: OAuth 2.0 (X, Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, YouTube), Dwolla, Mercury, Twilio, Firebase, Stripe, Shopify Version Control: GitHub (org-based, branch workflow) Other: QR code generation, real-time verification systems, social data normalization What We Are Looking For Must-haves: 5+ years of full-stack development experience Strong PHP/Laravel — you can read, debug, and architect Laravel apps without hand-holding Solid vanilla JavaScript — you do not need React or Vue to build clean, fast, interactive UIs Comfortable owning server infrastructure — SSH, Linux, Plesk or cPanel, Apache config, MySQL administration Experience with OAuth 2.0 integrations — connecting to social media platform APIs is second nature Familiarity with fintech concepts — payments, banking APIs, KYC/AML flows, or financial data handling Git workflow discipline — clean commits, branch management, no cowboy pushes to main Strong written communication — you document your work, you write clear commit messages, you can explain architecture decisions to non-technical stakeholders Strong pluses: Experience at a fintech startup or financial technology company Familiarity with social media platform developer programs (X API, Meta Graph API, TikTok for Developers) Experience setting up CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Forge, Envoyer, or similar) Experience with Redis configuration and migration Any background in credit scoring, data normalization, or analytics engine architecture Prior W-2 employment experience (this is not a 1099 contractor role) What You Get Full-time salaried position — compensation discussed during interview based on experience Direct access to and collaboration with the founding team The opportunity to be the lead technical voice at a company that is actively fundraising and preparing for a full public launch A codebase that is real, live, and in use — not a greenfield project, not a prototype Remote-first culture — flexible hours, async-friendly, results-driven What This Is Not This is not a short-term project or hourly contract This is not a role where you will be handed a spec and left alone This is not a company where the tech is an afterthought — the product IS the technology

Hello, I am trying to build a dashboard that will take data from my property management system via an open API that will give me the data I need in a format that will work for me. I also use claude to do competitor pricing for me but the process needs to be fine tuned and I would like it integrated into the dashboard. The system is called Guesty and it has an open API.

We are looking to do a new build of our patch bay label designer tool. Customers are currently able to pick their model of patch bay, add text labels, colorize, and group. They can then checkout and it creates print ready artwork for our team to produce. The UI is a bit clunky and there are some features we want to add such as an admin tool to add and edit labels. You can see the current tool here: https://create.traceaudio.com/

We operate a mature SaaS platform that has been successfully running for many years. The application is currently built on CodeIgniter 2.0, and we are evaluating the best path to modernize the platform. We are considering whether to rebuild in Laravel, move first to CodeIgniter 4, or take a phased/hybrid approach. Before making a major development decision, we want an experienced senior architect to perform a structured technical audit of the existing SaaS platform. This is not initially a full rebuild project. The first engagement is an AI-assisted modernization audit using modern tools such as OpenAI Codex, ChatGPT, GitHub Copilot, Cursor, or similar AI development tools, combined with senior engineering judgment. The goal is to help us understand what we have, what risks exist, what needs to be documented, what should be tested, and what the safest modernization path should be. About the Current Platform Our SaaS platform is a mature business application with years of active use and business logic built into the system. It likely includes customer accounts, admin tools, email workflows, cron jobs, database-driven features, reporting, and other production-critical workflows. The current framework is: CodeIgniter 2.0 PHP-based legacy SaaS application Existing production users and business workflows Potential future migration to Laravel Need to understand whether CodeIgniter 4 is useful as an intermediate step or whether direct Laravel modernization is better What We Need We are looking for a senior PHP/Laravel architect, not just a programmer. You should be able to review a legacy CodeIgniter 2 SaaS codebase and provide a clear CEO-level and technical roadmap for modernization. You should be comfortable using AI tools to assist with: Code review Codebase mapping Security screening Documentation Test planning Refactoring recommendations Laravel migration planning Pull request review strategy Developer workflow improvement Key Deliverables ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ We would like the selected consultant to produce the following: 1. Codebase Architecture Review Review the current CodeIgniter 2 application and identify: Major modules Core business workflows Controller/model/view structure Areas of duplicated or fragile code Areas that may be difficult to migrate Business logic that needs to be preserved Overall technical debt 2. Database and Data Review Provide a high-level review of the database structure, including: Major tables Data relationships Potential legacy data issues Risks in migrating data to Laravel Recommended cleanup or archiving strategy Database documentation needs 3. Cron Job and Background Process Inventory Identify and document: Cron jobs Scheduled tasks Background scripts Email-related jobs Data syncs or automated processes Business-critical timed events 4. Email and Third-Party Integration Review Identify and document: Email workflows SendGrid or other email integrations API keys and third-party services Payment integrations, if any External services that must be preserved during migration 5. Security Risk Review Screen the application for common legacy SaaS risks, including: SQL injection risk Cross-site scripting risk Authentication weaknesses Session handling issues File upload risks Exposed secrets or API keys Admin permission issues Outdated dependencies Weak input validation 6. AI / Codex Usage Plan We specifically want recommendations on how our development team should be using AI tools more effectively. Please provide: Recommended AI development workflow How Codex or similar tools should be used on this codebase How to safely connect AI tools to the repository Suggested use of GitHub pull requests Suggested use of an AGENTS.md or AI instruction file How AI can help write tests, documentation, and migration plans What should not be trusted to AI without senior review 7. Testing Plan Create a modernization testing strategy, including: Core workflows that must be tested before migration Regression testing checklist Automated test recommendations Manual QA checklist Staging environment requirements Customer pilot testing approach Rollback plan considerations 8. Laravel Migration Roadmap Provide a practical modernization recommendation: Should we go directly to Laravel? Should we consider CodeIgniter 4 first? Should we use a phased rebuild? Which modules should be migrated first? Which modules are highest risk? What can be improved immediately without a full rewrite? Suggested Laravel architecture Estimated complexity by phase 9. CEO-Level Summary We need a clear, non-technical executive summary that explains: Current condition of the SaaS Biggest risks Best modernization path Estimated level of effort Recommended next steps Whether our current development process appears modern and AI-enabled Ideal Candidate You should have strong experience with: Legacy PHP applications CodeIgniter 2 or CodeIgniter 3 Laravel modernization projects SaaS platforms MySQL databases PHP version upgrades Secure coding practices GitHub or GitLab workflows Staging/production deployment processes Automated testing AI coding tools such as Codex, ChatGPT, GitHub Copilot, Cursor, or similar Important We are not looking for someone who simply says, “Yes, I can rebuild it.” We are looking for someone who can first tell us: What do we have? What is fragile? What is risky? What should be documented? What should be tested? What should be rebuilt? What should be left alone temporarily? What is the safest path forward? Expected Final Report At the end of the audit, we expect a written report that includes: Executive summary Technical findings Risk ranking Modernization options Laravel migration roadmap AI-assisted development workflow recommendation Testing plan Security concerns Budget/timeline range for future phases Recommended next step Preferred Engagement Structure We are open to a follow-on project for implementation, but the first step is the audit and roadmap. Questions for Applicants Please answer the following when applying: Access and Security We will not provide direct access to production servers initially. The selected consultant should expect to work from: A cloned repository A staging or development environment Sanitized database sample where appropriate Documentation we currently have Screen-share walkthroughs with our team We expect strict confidentiality and professional handling of all code, data, and business information. Desired Outcome Our goal is to make an informed decision before investing heavily in a rebuild. We want to use AI intelligently, but safely, to help us understand, document, test, and modernize our SaaS platform without putting the business at risk.
