I am looking to add multiple Power BI and Power Platform Developers to my team. I run a independent consulting business that works with clients to build out their entire reporting framework, automation workflows and other data needs. This role will assist in all of that. This person not only needs to be advanced on the technical side, but also provide a good eye for UI/UX design, understand business requirements and can run with projects. This role will be involved in projects from the ground up, or potentially just fine tuning reports, apps and flows. Or just coming in and making changes to reports that are already used in production. Hours vary per week, but I have a good amount of work in the backlog and am continuing to try to grow my business. Please provide some of your previous work, or a link to a portfolio to view your work. I am looking to hire immediately and get this person integrated into the projects as soon as possible.

Our firm processes billions of data points related to client marketing performance. We operate out of previously built Power BI reports and now need your deep expertise to maintain, optimize, and evolve a comprehensive tracking dashboard. This dashboard fuels the speed and depth of how we are able to deliver marketing campaign performance tracking for clients. We're seeking a PowerBI specialist who can not only build compelling visual reports but also help transform our backend architecture to handle scale, performance, and usability challenges. Key Responsibilities • Lead Design and Collaboration Sessions: Lead design sessions with our partners and strategists to access key data to be analyzed based on current tracking review decks. • Develop and Improve Reports: Develop visualizations, charts, and graphs in PowerBI that tell a compelling and easily understandable story about campaign performance. This will include prototyping as well as maintenance and improvement of existing reports. • Data Modeling and Optimization: Transition three existing PowerBI reports from a non-relational to a relational semantic model. Audit results and collaborate with the data operations team to: 1) Redefine views and tables, 2) Clarify where measures and objects should reside (Database, Semantic Model, or Report), and 3) Optimize for performance and scalability • Documentation & Reporting Standards: Document the architecture and logic of both new and existing reports to ensure maintainability. Make performance recommendations, including evaluations of live database connections vs. CSV file-based ingestion. • Training and Knowledge Sharing: Provide training or guidance sessions with team members to improve internal capabilities and expertise. Technical Background & Challenges • We currently operate with a non-relational semantic model that handles 10GB+ of accumulated CSV data nightly. This frequently causes update delays and system instability. • You'll help us design an architecture structure for future growth and advise on smarter data sourcing strategies to decrease load failures. Ideal Candidate Profile • Proven experience optimizing Power BI dashboards at enterprise scale. • Hands-on expertise with DAX, relational modeling, and performance tuning. • Strong communicator who can document, teach, and collaborate across teams. • Comfortable operating in high-volume data environments with complex ETL challenges.

We're a data and AI consultancy looking for a senior Power BI consultant to deliver a labor dashboard for a senior living provider. This is design-led work, not a build-from-scratch reporting engagement. You'll take high-fidelity Figma mockups and reproduce them faithfully in Power BI. We're looking for someone who understands both UX and Power BI and can identify what does and doesn't translate before designs are finalized. The dashboard will be built on the client's existing enterprise data warehouse and Power BI environment, including row-level security. The semantic model isn't complete, so you'll be expected to write robust DAX measures (maybe SQL views) to bridge modeling gaps rather than relying on a fully finished model. This is a client-facing, white-labeled consulting role. You'll represent our team directly, present your work to senior business stakeholders, and communicate professionally throughout the engagement. The work doesn't end at deployment. You'll document the Power BI solution, KPIs, and measures, and create end-user training materials so the client can confidently own the solution after handoff. Must-Haves Expert Power BI, DAX, and data modeling skills Strong SQL, including writing views to support reporting requirements Proven experience translating Figma or UX designs into production Power BI dashboards Excellent eye for layout, visualization, and user experience Experience documenting Power BI solutions, KPIs, and calculations for both technical and business audiences Ability to create end-user training materials Comfortable presenting to business stakeholders and managing client feedback Nice to Have Experience with senior living, healthcare, workforce, labor, or operational analytics Hourly engagement with a near-term start and defined delivery timeline. If you knock this project out of the park, there could be future opportunities. We regularly deliver enterprise Power BI, data engineering, AI, and analytics projects.

We are a boutique consulting firm specializing in financial planning and analysis (FP&A) built inside the Microsoft stack: Power BI, Microsoft Fabric, and Aimplan. We are looking for a skilled Power BI developer who also understands finance and is ready to become an expert in Aimplan, a FP&A platform that runs inside Power BI (www.aimplan.com). This starts as project-based work, but we have a steady pipeline and are looking for someone who can become a reliable, recurring part of our delivery team over time. A core part of this role is Aimplan. Aimplan extends Power BI into a full planning, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting tool, and it is central to how we deliver for clients. You do not need prior Aimplan experience to start, but you do need to commit to learning it quickly and building production applications in it. We will provide training and support, and we expect you to ramp into being genuinely strong with the platform. If you are not excited to go deep on a specialized tool, this is not the right role. You will also work across multiple client accounts, not a single customer. Each engagement has its own data, its own model, and its own business questions, so you will need to learn new contexts quickly and produce clean, professional work. What you will do: - Build, develop, and maintain planning and forecasting applications in Aimplan across multiple client projects Design, build, and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports for FP&A use cases (budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, management reporting) - Build and maintain data models using DAX, Power Query, and Power Pivot, including row-level security, drill-through, and slicers - Drive adoption by building with user-centered design, so each app delivers a real improvement to the client's planning process - Translate finance and business requirements into working solutions and communicate results clearly Must-haves: + Strong, demonstrable Power BI development skills (please share a portfolio or sample work) + Solid command of DAX and Power Query + A genuine commitment to learning Aimplan and building production work in it. This is a requirement of the role + Real financial literacy. You should be comfortable working with income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow, and understand concepts like variance to budget and forecast. This is not optional. A lot of this work is financial reporting, so you need to understand what the numbers mean Clear written English and the ability to work independently against a brief Nice-to-have: + Prior experience with Aimplan or another planning / CPM tool (Anaplan, Vena, Planful, or similar) + Experience with Microsoft Fabric or Azure SQL + Prior FP&A, accounting, or finance work experience How we work: We are remote and run a tight, professional operation. We value initiative, accuracy, and people who flag problems early rather than hand over work that quietly does not tie out. Good work here leads to more work. To apply, please include: A short note on your Power BI experience and a link to sample dashboards or a portfolio One sentence explaining the difference between a forecast and a budget, so we know you read this post and understand finance A sentence on how you feel about learning a specialized new tool like Aimplan, since it is central to this role Your availability and typical weekly capacity

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS • Experience leading client engagements as the primary architect and point of contact. • Azure fundamentals - Entra ID, App Services, Azure DevOps, and basic cloud infrastructure knowledge. • Copilot Studio or Azure OpenAI integration experience - AI-assisted app development is increasingly part of what clients expect. • Experience with Agile or sprint-based delivery in a consulting context. • Version control discipline - GitHub or Azure Repos.
