Seeking a people-oriented ghost writer to help my 78-year-old father complete 1-2 page essays each week so he can continue writing his memoirs despite moderate dementia. He has a subscription for Storyworth and completed 5-6 stories independently but the technical aspects are frustrating for him. I'm looking for someone kind and patient to virtually interview him via phone at an agreed upon scheduled time each week (e.g 1 hour on Wednesdays at noon) with provided prompts (e.g. "What was your happiest memory") and then provide a near-verbatim and lightly edited 1-2 page story each week that he can proof and modify via email and when done, we will save it for him on Storyworth. We are following the style of Studs Terkel and it is okay to use a transcription tool. My father is kind, funny, and smart. He grew up in Texas & Louisiana, moving over twenty times as a child, was a baseball pitcher in high school, studied French in college, sold wood stoves in Missouri, had a goat farm, and was even struck by lightning and lived to tell about it. He has dementia which primarily effects his short-term memory right now though dementia is unpredictable so we want to focus on this now. I am doing this for him as a Father's Day gift.

I'm looking for a beta reader to read my next mystery thriller. I'd like you to read the book as you would any mystery, and then address a few questions: • your overall impressions of the book (try to ignore whether this type of mystery is your personal cup of tea) • how does the mystery hold together • did you spot any plot holes or inconsistencies • did you find any pacing issues I am not looking for editing, finding typos, grammar fixes et al., though if something jumps out at you, feel free to call it to my attention. Thank you for your consideration.

I need a beta read in which you put yourself in the shoes of a potential reader and talk about the reading experience, what you liked, what you didn't, what you might delete, what you might add, etc. The beta read feedback woul be in the form of highlights and comments on a Word doc, along with a high-level summary giving an overview of the next steps you'd recommend to tweak the document. Please note, I don't have scope for a complete overhaul or reconceptualization. Please also note that parts of the manuscript are incomplete or in progress, but it is largely complete and should be solid enough for a beta read to make sense.
