We are looking for one person. We are not looking for a call center or email campaign. We're seeking one experienced, relationship-driven business development professional who knows how to get in front of senior decision-makers in the energy and utility space or has the instincts and presence to make relationship in that sector without preexisting relationships. What success looks like in the first 90 days: Qualified two-way conversations with named decision makers at target clients. Not leads. Not connections. Real conversations with people who have authority that matters. Compensation: Monthly retainer plus performance bonus per qualified conversation produced. You are the right fit if you have a background in energy, utilities, construction, or infrastructure services. You build relationships, not pipelines. This is not a fit if you specialize in email automation, lead lists, or high-volume cold outreach. Seeking an expert with senior-level business and corporate development experience. Must have established executive level contacts with U.S. lower middle market companies or small businesses. Interesting industry sectors: civil or commercial engineering, manufacturing and distribution, accounting/finance, startups. This role is ideal for someone with 20+ years experience with deep relationships and seeking occasional work to keep their network warm. Ideal candidates will excel in strategic partnerships and business development, providing warm leads for executive management, getting those leads across the finish line, and providing long term account management. Compensation will be an hourly rate plus commissions. Typical agreements are recurring contracts that provide monthly income. Emmersion Capital owns operates lower middle market companies in the BPO and the business services segments. These include technical services such as corporate accounting, financial analysis, commercial and civil engineering, architecture and cybersecurity.
