Project Budget: $500 (Strictly Milestone-Based) CRITICAL REQUIREMENT BEFORE APPLYING: Payment for this project is strictly tied to real-world performance metrics. Milestone 1 requires a live stopwatch test on a mobile device showing sub-1-second cache loading on repeat lookups. If you do not have deep experience with high-speed local database architecture and caching models, do not apply. We measure deliverables with a stopwatch, not excuses. Project Overview & The Long-Term Vision: I am building Reseller Bro, a powerful mobile utility application designed for on-the-go resellers to instantly analyze product values, get a FLIP/SKIP verdict, and SAVE to a digital cart in seconds. This app is just the initial foundation—the engineer who successfully delivers this backend infrastructure will have the opportunity to partner with us long-term to build out our entire ecosystem, including advanced B2B inventory management tools and our wearable AR glasses workflow (Bro Lens). The front-end user interface and layout are already mostly complete. We are anchoring our backend data pipeline to a high-speed eBay API model that automatically calculates smart market estimates for other secondary platforms. We need an expert developer to clean up our database cache, implement a tier-condition formula, handle minor UI adjustments, and add high-energy audio/vibration triggers. The Core Tasks & Milestone Payment Structure: Milestone 1: Sub-1-Second Database Caching ($100 Escrow) The Issue: The previous build incorrectly forced live AI image recognition to run on every single scan, causing a 7–8 second delay even on repeat lookups. The Fix: You must implement a proper local database caching layer (e.g., SQLite). The first initial scan of an item can take up to 7 seconds to run the AI workflow and fetch the initial marketplace data. However, on any repeat scan, the app must skip the AI image recognition entirely, read a cached unique text identifier/key, and instantly pull the results from the internal database in under 1 second. Milestone 2: Data Engine & Percentage-Based Estimation Matrix ($200 Escrow) The Fix: Connect the backend cleanly with the official eBay Browse API using our developer keys. Target Marketplaces: The app displays valuation metrics for four core platforms: eBay, Depop, Grailed, and Poshmark. Condition Matrix & Platform Estimation Formula: Because eBay utilizes a wide variety of specific conditions across different categories, you will build an automated mapping and calculation formula. The app will pull raw condition data initially from the eBay API, group it cleanly into our 3-tier user system, and then use those baselines to instantly calculate the estimated market values for the other three platforms (Depop, Grailed, and Poshmark). New Tier: Dynamically maps all brand-new and pristine variations data directly, including: "New", "Excellent", "Excellent - Refurbished", "Open box", "New with box", "New with defects", and "New without box". Good Tier: Dynamically maps all standard pre-owned and quality-certified variations data directly, including: "Very Good", "Good", "Used", "Very Good - Refurbished", "Good - Refurbished", "Pre-Owned", and "Certified Pre-Owned". Poor Tier: Maps heavy-wear options directly, such as "For parts or not working" or "Fair". If a specific item category lacks a true "poor" marketplace data option, the engine must automatically fall back to calculate a custom percentage markdown (e.g., 40% less) relative to that item's "Good" tier baseline. The results from these three tiers will automatically calculate estimated market values for Depop, Grailed, and Poshmark using an internal background multiplier. If a user wants to check the exact live screen on those blocked platforms, tapping a platform tile will trigger a direct, one-tap deep link search into that specific app or web page. Smart Category Specifications (Vehicle & Electronics Handling): If the AI detects an image of a Vehicle (cars, trucks) or high-value Electronics, the app must dynamically generate a quick-spec form for the user to confirm/fill in (Vehicles: Make, Model, Year, Mileage; Electronics: Brand, Model, Capacity). This structured data must be fed directly into the pricing API for precise accuracy. Milestone 3: UI Redesigns, Audio/Haptics, Live Deployment & Final Handoff ($200 Escrow) UI Tweaks: Implement minor visual layout edits and updates to a few existing UI screens to align with this new calculation model. This includes ensuring tiles are accurately labeled as "Estimated Value," verifying the condition buttons display perfectly, adjusting the selling platform logos/designs, and making a few structural changes to the "Saved Items" page (I will go over the exact design changes with you directly). Haptics & Custom Audio Cues: Implement device vibration triggers (via Web Vibrations API) to pulse the device exactly when a verdict hits the screen. Integrate custom short audio sound bites that trigger instantly on the verdict display: a high-energy "YEAH!" (Lil Jon style) sound bite for a FLIP verdict, and a "HELL NO!" sound bite for a SKIP verdict. Live Deployment: Once the final features are fully approved, you will be responsible for successfully deploying the production build live onto our hosting account so the application is fully operational. Clean up the codebase and hand over the complete, finalized source repository. Requirements: Deep expertise in backend optimization, API data pipelines, and high-speed local database caching. Proficiency in mobile development frameworks, front-end audio integration, and Node.js. Strong communication skills. You will work with an existing repository and must provide clean, documented code. To Apply: Please reply explaining exactly how you will structure the local database cache so that a repeat scan completely bypasses the image-recognition API step to hit the sub-1-second mark. Copy and paste this right onto Upwork. It has every single feature, condition category, and protective barrier built in!

Hi! We’re looking for a web designer / Framer developer to help us optimize and improve the landing page for Glow, an AI powered curation and introduction platform. Glow is an AI that gets to know each user through conversation, understands who they are trying to meet, and helps make warm introductions to people who fit that criteria. Instead of users having to search, swipe, cold message, or explain what they’re looking for over and over again, Glow acts as a curation tool that helps surface the right people and create more intentional connections. Our current website has a strong visual direction. We like the overall look: the soft gradients, orb animations, typography, and dreamy AI-inspired design language. However, we need help making the site clearer, faster, and more effective. The biggest issue right now is that people land on the website and don’t immediately understand what Glow does. The visuals are beautiful, but the product explanation is too abstract and spread out across too much scrolling. We need someone who can help us make the first screen immediately clear: what Glow is, how it works, and why someone would use it. We need help with: Website performance optimization: The animations and visual effects are currently too heavy, especially on older computers or less powerful systems. The site can lag or take too long to process, so we need someone who can optimize the experience without losing the visual identity. Clearer above-the-fold messaging: The hero section needs to explain the product much faster. Within a few seconds, visitors should understand that Glow is an AI that gets to know them, curates people who match what they’re looking for, and helps make warm introductions. Better page structure and flow: The current site has too much empty space as users scroll. Important information is spread too far apart, which makes the product harder to understand. We need the page tightened up so the story is clearer and easier to follow. Messaging, hierarchy, and UX cleanup This is not a full brand redesign. We like the visual direction. What we need is stronger information hierarchy, clearer copy placement, better calls-to-action, and a more conversion-focused landing page experience. Ideal candidate has experience with: - Framer or similar front-end / no-code tools - Website performance optimization - Landing page UX - Conversion-focused design - Animation optimization - Startup, AI, social, or consumer product websites - Making abstract products feel simple and easy to understand The goal is to keep the current Glow aesthetic, but make the website faster, cleaner, easier to understand, and much more effective within the first few seconds of landing on the page. We’re looking for someone who can help turn this from a beautiful visual experience into a clear, high-performing product landing page. Here is the website: https://talktoglow.com/

I'm an independent inventor (Massachusetts LLC, patent-pending) developing a portable sports-training device that uses a projected laser line and a global-shutter mono camera to measure the angle of a small metal striking surface at the moment of impact. Target accuracy is ±0.5° on the angular measurement, with measurement latency under 2 seconds, and direct-sunlight robustness as a key engineering risk. This is an end-to-end Phase-0 feasibility engagement. The working assumption is laser-line + global-shutter mono camera with bandpass filtering, but I want your read on whether that's the right approach for this accuracy and these conditions. I have a strong lean, not a closed decision, and I'd rather you push back early than build something the wrong way. Once we align on the approach, you'll spec the bench rig (camera model, laser modules, filters, optics, baseline geometry, target mounting); I'll source the parts from your BOM and either ship the components for you to assemble or assemble and ship a built rig, your preference, whichever fits your workflow best. From there you capture data under controlled and outdoor conditions, develop the detection and calibration pipeline, and deliver a working codebase plus a written accuracy/robustness report. Hardware is returned to me on completion (or retained for a follow-on engagement if we both want to continue). What you'll deliver: 0. Approach review + rig spec. A short written deliverable (2–4 pages) covering: (a) your read on the proposed sensing approach, affirm + refine, or argue for an alternative with reasoning and a specific recommendation; (b) a bench-rig BOM with specific parts (camera model, laser modules, bandpass filters, optics, mounting, target plate) sized for the working distance and accuracy spec; (c) laser-to-camera baseline geometry with your reasoning, and recommended calibration targets. I'll source the parts from your BOM. We'll decide together whether I ship components for you to assemble or assemble and ship a built rig, whichever you'd rather. 1. Rig assembly or acceptance + baseline capture. Receive shipped parts (or built rig), assemble or validate alignment as appropriate, confirm basic optical performance against the M0 spec, then capture a baseline dataset (~200 frames per configuration) under controlled indoor lighting. Photos of the as-built rig and a setup diagram included. 2. Detection pipeline. A Python/OpenCV module that extracts the projected laser line with sub-pixel accuracy from frames at 60–100 fps. Sub-pixel line fit (Steger, Gaussian, parabolic) or weighted centroid, your choice with a short justification. 3. Calibration framework. Documented procedure and accompanying script for mapping pixel displacement to angular displacement of the target plate, accounting for camera intrinsics, lens distortion, and laser-to-camera baseline geometry. Validation against ground-truth rig angles. 4. Robustness data capture + analysis. Re-capture under (a) bright indoor with mixed daylight and (b) direct outdoor sunlight, for both laser variants with and without matched bandpass filters. Quantified accuracy + jitter per condition. 4–8 page PDF report comparing visible-red + bandpass vs. near-IR + matched bandpass. 5. Stretch (optional milestone): First cut at deriving angle-at-impact from a short pre/post-impact image sequence, pseudocode or working prototype, whichever fits the time budget. Deliverable format: Well-commented Python module(s) in a Git repo I'll provide, a README that walks a junior engineer through running the pipeline end-to-end, the captured datasets (raw frames + ground-truth angles), and a PDF report. What I'm looking for: - Comfort giving an unambiguous engineering recommendation: "use this approach with these parts" or "don't and here's why, and here's what to do instead." Phase 0 succeeds or fails based on the judgment in Milestone 0 as much as the algorithm in later milestones. - 5+ years of practical computer vision work, with shipped projects involving line/edge detection, sub-pixel feature localization, or structured-light triangulation. - Comfort doing your own benchtop work; mounting, alignment, basic optics handling. - Strong Python + OpenCV; comfort with NumPy/SciPy for the line-fit and calibration math. - Camera calibration experience (OpenCV calibrateCamera, distortion coefficients, projective geometry). - A workspace where you can run an outdoor sunlight test safely and legally with a Class-2 visible-red laser and a Class-1 IR laser module. - Bonus: prior work with laser triangulation, structured-light scanning, or sports/motion-tracking applications. - Bonus: experience deploying CV pipelines to Raspberry Pi or ESP32-S3-class hardware (potential follow-on scope). Engagement: - Fixed-price (preferred): $5,000–$7,500 total, paid across 5 milestones (approach review + rig spec → baseline capture → detection pipeline → calibration → robustness report). - Hourly alternative: $70–$140/hr with a 75-hour cap, then re-scope. - Duration: 5–7 calendar weeks (approach-review phase happens up front; ~1 week round-trip shipping after rig build). - Weekly 30-min check-ins (US Eastern preferred; flexible). - Hardware: shipped to you fully insured at my cost. Returned (insured, my prepaid label) on completion, or retained for follow-on engagement. - Possible follow-on: porting the pipeline to Raspberry Pi / ESP32-S3, IR laser variant tuning, integration support for the next prototype phase. Before we start: Short NDA + IP assignment signed before I ship the kit, share the technical design doc, or grant repo access. Upwork's standard terms transfer IP on payment, but I want a standalone signed PIIA on file as well, routine, less than 1 hour of your time. To apply, please include: 1. 1–2 examples of prior CV work involving sub-pixel localization, line fitting, or laser/structured-light triangulation. Paragraph + GitHub or paper link. 2. Three or four sentences on your approach to extracting a sub-pixel laser line centroid from a single frame. 3. Confirm you have a workspace where you can run both indoor and outdoor (direct-sunlight) image captures with a small bench rig, and that you're comfortable assembling the shipped kit. 4. Whether you prefer fixed-price or hourly, and your proposed milestone breakdown. 5. Without committing to a final answer until you've seen the full spec, a quick take: do you think projected laser line + global-shutter mono camera is the right sensing approach for ±0.5° angular accuracy at 60–100 fps under direct sunlight, or would you steer me toward a different approach? Two or three sentences. Looking forward to talking with strong candidates. Jason

Friendly Ride LLC — New York, NY Type: Freelance / Contract (potential ongoing engagement) About the project Friendly Ride is a 20+ year-established luxury chauffeur service in New York, currently undergoing a full brand and digital relaunch. We're looking for a skilled photographer to produce a complete library of high-end fleet photography that will be used across our new website, sales materials, and social channels. This is the single most important visual asset in our relaunch — image quality needs to feel on par with EmpireCLS, Carey, or a five-star hotel brand, not a stock photo or a rental car listing. What we need Full-vehicle exterior photography (3/4 front, profile, rear 3/4) across our fleet — sedans, SUVs, and any specialty/executive vehicles Interior detail shots: leather seating, legroom, console, branded touches, driver's view from rear seat A mix of locations (see below) — this is not a single-location shoot High-resolution images delivered edited and color-graded, ready for both web and print use Some shots composed with negative space/crop room in mind for website hero banners Locations & approach We want a deliberate mix, not just "shoot it in the garage": Primary (urban city backdrops): golden hour/dusk shoots on NYC streets — think hotel entrances, skyline/bridge backdrops, upscale building facades. This is where most hero shots should come from, since it reflects how clients actually experience the service. Secondary (interior/detail): can be shot in our garage with supplemental lighting brought by the photographer, focused tightly on vehicle details rather than the garage environment itself. Optional (night garage exterior): only if it can be lit to look premium — we're open to your creative judgment here. You should come with your own opinion on the best specific NYC locations (and any permit considerations) for these shots — we want a photographer who can advise us, not just execute a brief literally. Deliverables: Fully edited, high-resolution images (web + print ready) Organized by vehicle and shot type Quick turnaround on a working preview gallery, full edits within an agreed timeline Nice to have / bonus Experience with luxury automotive or hospitality photography Video capability (b-roll, short-form social cuts, reels-style content) — we have an active video and content calendar and would love a photographer who can also shoot/edit video Lighting equipment for low-light/interior work Why this could turn into more This is being treated as a trial project for a brand-critical asset. If the work is strong, there's real potential for this to become a recurring or retained role — we have an ongoing content calendar (8–12 posts/month) and will need fresh fleet, lifestyle, and event photography on a continuing basis. A photographer who also shoots and edits video is especially well-positioned for that longer-term relationship. To apply, please share: Portfolio (automotive, luxury lifestyle, or hospitality preferred) Your suggested approach/locations for this specific brief Rate (day rate or per-shoot) and typical turnaround time Video capability and reel/sample, if available

Performance Marketing Manager (Amazon & Paid) We're looking for a hands-on Performance Marketing Manager to own the day-to-day of our acquisition engine — Amazon first, with paid media across Meta, Google, and TikTok close behind. You'll live in the platforms and be our source of truth on the data — the person who knows the numbers cold and surfaces what's happening before anyone has to ask. About Cali's Books At Cali’s Books, our mission is to turn every child into a confident reader. experience and help kids grow confident as readers. We create physical audiobooks with invisible technology for every stage of the reading journey. Our titles blend music, illustration, games, and storytelling to make early literacy genuinely joyful. We're a small, collaborative team that cares deeply about our mission and building a sustainable, thoughtful business. What You'll Be Doing Amazon is the center of gravity for this role. You'll own performance and discoverability there, while running paid acquisition across Meta, Google, and TikTok to bring new families into the brand. Own Amazon performance end-to-end Run Amazon Ads day-to-day across Sponsored Products, Sponsored Brands, and Sponsored Display — structuring campaigns, managing bids, expanding keyword coverage, and improving ACOS and TACOS against clear targets. Drive organic discoverability through keyword strategy, ranking, and ongoing PDP optimization (imagery, copy, A+ content, reviews, pricing, merchandising). Identify what's constraining growth on Amazon — whether it's traffic, conversion, or catalog — and translate it into a clear, prioritized roadmap. Run paid acquisition across Meta, Google, and TikTok Structure, launch, and optimize campaigns that bring in new customers efficiently against CAC and payback targets — not just channel-level ROAS. Own the experimentation roadmap across creative, audiences, offers, and landing pages. Continually refine structure and targeting to improve blended CAC and contribution margin. Drive qualified traffic to the site Get our brand and product in front of the right parents — broadly, parents and give givers of young kids — and convert that reach into qualified site traffic. Build paid campaigns that scale traffic without sacrificing quality, and know the difference between the two in the data. Partner with our Head of Marketing on creative so parents see a consistent, compelling story wherever they find us. Be the source of truth on what's happening Proactively surface what's working, what's not, and what you'd do about it. Come to meetings with opinions and recommendations — you're the one leading the charge here, even in a collaborative environment. Share the headlines we need to act on, not every metric you have, but know the full picture cold so we can dig in when it matters. Own tactical strategy within your channels (bid strategy, campaign structure, keyword plans, testing roadmap). The broader growth strategy you'll shape with the Head of Marketing as the partnership develops. This is a hands-on individual contributor role. You'll be in the platforms every day, and there's real room to grow over time. What You'll Bring 3+ years of hands-on performance marketing experience for consumer or e-commerce brands, with meaningful ownership of Amazon Ads. Direct experience managing Amazon Ads for a brand doing $3M+ annually on the platform across a multi-SKU catalog (30+ SKUs ideal), with a track record of meaningfully growing the account — not just maintaining it. We'll want to hear specific numbers on what you grew and how. Deep working knowledge of Amazon Ads and Amazon SEO/keyword tools — you know how to move both traffic and PDP conversion, not just one. Direct experience managing Meta and Google campaigns; TikTok is a strong plus. Strong analytical instincts and comfort using performance data (platform reporting, GA4, attribution tools) to prioritize, test, and decide. A test-and-learn mindset: structured roadmaps, clean experiments, honest reads on what the data says. Proactive communication style — you flag issues and opportunities early, with a recommendation attached, rather than waiting to be asked. Comfort collaborating with designers, developers, and email/CRM partners to improve the full funnel. Background working with D2C brands that sell through both Amazon and Shopify. Nice to have: Experience with children's products, education, or parenting audiences. Full-funnel mindset with a point of view on creative — what format, imagery, and copy will actually land with parents. NYC base is a plus so you can spend in-person time with our Head of Marketing, but it's not a requirement — we're open to strong remote candidates.

****IMPORTANT PROJECT UPDATE We have refined our technical requirements to save time and eliminate design overhead. Please read carefully before applying: Mandatory WeWeb Experience: You must have direct, hands-on experience working inside the WeWeb platform. Do not apply if you only work in Figma. You must know how to navigate WeWeb's visual style editor, global variables, and UI component kits on day one. No Figma Workflow: We are skipping the expensive, multi-week Figma wireframing process. Your job is to select and configure a premium layout structure (including the left-hand navigation sidebar) directly using WeWeb’s native UI frameworks and components. AG Grid Core Focus: The core of this application relies on an embedded AG Grid component handling massive amounts of high-density compliance data. You must be able to write precise visual specifications (typography for decimal alignment, custom cell styling for editable vs. static cells, row padding, and line weights) that integrate seamlessly into the WeWeb frontend. If you have never shipped a project inside WeWeb or styled high-density financial data tables, this is not the right fit for you. We are transforming a heavy, data-dense financial projection application into a modern enterprise SaaS product. The application architecture is fixed: Supabase (backend), WeWeb (frontend shell), and AG Grid (embedded via WeWeb for high-density tables). The exact columns, calculation tabs, and formulas match state compliance templates and cannot change. This application is primarily a read-only presentation of complex calculations based on defined constraints. Users will not do bulk inline cell editing; only a handful of specific constraint cells will be editable. We need a specialized consultant to select the pre-built design system, define the visual implementation rules for our data grids, and keep our development team visually on track. Scope of Work Tailwind Template Selection Audit our current platform layout and data sheets. Research the commercial market and select a pre-built, enterprise-grade Tailwind CSS dashboard template (e.g., Tailwind UI or equivalent) that handles deep vertical navigation and complex text data out of the box. Present 2–3 live, working template examples for final selection. AG Grid Visual Specification Write a precise visual configuration guide for our developers to apply to the embedded AG Grid component inside WeWeb. Recommend and define the exact typography engine and font pairings optimized for clean, high-density financial data rendering and decimal alignment. Specify exact cell row padding, line weights, and a muted financial color palette to clean up the interface. Define the look for static data cells versus the handful of editable constraint cells so the user instantly knows what can be modified. Developer Implementation Audit Act as the design supervisor. Review the live staging site built by our developers in WeWeb. Provide explicit, pixel-level punch lists ensuring the team accurately executes the template typography, spacing, and grid tokens. Requirements Proven portfolio featuring high-density B2B SaaS dashboards, FinTech platforms, or data-heavy analytical software. (No generic marketing or e-commerce sites). Deep technical familiarity with Tailwind CSS utilities and the visual constraints of AG Grid. Ability to deliver clean visual specifications directly to an engineering team without unnecessary Figma overhead.
