I lead AI work in the defense technology space and I'm looking for a ghostwriter to turn interview calls into LinkedIn content. The model: 2 hours of interview calls with me per month, cadence flexible, might be weekly 30 minutes, might be one longer session every other week, depending on my schedule. You pull the ideas out of me (ensuring they're sanitized), then draft roughly 8 posts a month from that material, in my voice. I review, you finalize. If this works well, it may evolve into newsletters and longer form writing down the line. What matters: you can run an interview that extracts specific takes from an operator, and you can match a voice rather than impose one. Defense or AI domain knowledge is a bonus, not a requirement, the substance comes from me, you're the extraction and craft layer. What I don't want: posts written from research or trends, engagement bait formats, or generic thought leadership. The audience is government technologists and defense industry people, they detect filler instantly. Process: I'll shortlist 2 or 3 people for a paid trial, a 20 minute interview call with me, one post drafted from it, $75 for the trial. Best draft gets the retainer. Structure: monthly retainer, ongoing if it works. Application Instructions: To apply, tell me your monthly rate for 2 hours of calls and 8 posts I don't care about your portfolio or how many clients you've had. I care about whether you can think critically, put things together with me, and grind through the reps until it's right. Show me that in the answers below and the job is yours to lose. In your cover letter, tell me why I should select you over the other applications in the most transparent way you can. I appreciate realness over polish at this stage, and honestly I'd prefer that style for my LinkedIn posts as well.

I have a complete AI-assisted manuscript introduction, ten full chapters organized across three parts, conclusion, and an About the Author section. The manuscript runs approximately 60,000–70,000 words and is fully structured. Every chapter has a clear arc, a central story, section headings, practical exercises, and a bridge to the next chapter. The ideas, frameworks, stories, and professional insights in this manuscript are entirely mine — drawn from twenty years of field work. The AI served as a drafting tool. What I need now is a skilled human collaborator who can take what has been built and rewrite it in a voice that is fully, authentically human capturing my specific voice, my storytelling style, and my way of speaking to leaders without ever sounding like it came from a machine. This is not a from-scratch project. You are not being asked to develop content or conduct research. The content is there. The architecture is there. The stories are there. What I need is a writer who can make it breathe. The rewrite should preserve all core ideas, frameworks, stories, and chapter structure while recasting every sentence in natural, human prose that sounds like a specific person not a polished, generic voice. Practical without being cold. Honest without being harsh. What a strong candidate looks like: You have experience ghostwriting or collaborating on nonfiction books, specifically in leadership, self-help, education, or adjacent genres. You know the difference between a manuscript that is technically correct and one that actually sounds like a human being talking to another human being. You are a skilled interviewer who can get inside a subject’s voice and reproduce it faithfully. You are comfortable receiving feedback, iterating on chapters, and working toward a standard rather than defending your first draft. You do not need to share my specific background in education or organizational consulting but you need to understand that world well enough to write convincingly inside it. Experience with books that have been traditionally published or have found significant audiences is a strong plus. Familiarity with the kind of writing Ryan Leak, Brené Brown, Patrick Lencioni, or similar communicators produce is also a strong indicator of fit. Please do not send me a generic proposal about your qualifications. I will not read it past the first paragraph. Instead, tell me three things: One — Describe a specific project where you rewrote or substantially reworked existing content and made it sound like a real, specific human being. What was the genre? What was your process for capturing someone’s voice? What made the final product better than what you started with? Two — Tell me what you would do in the first two weeks of this engagement. Not in vague terms specifically. What would you need from me? What would you produce? How would you test whether you had captured my voice before committing to a full chapter? Three — Tell me what your rate is and how you prefer to structure a project of this scope by the word, by the chapter, by the milestone, or otherwise. Be direct. I respect directness. The central argument of Culture Starts With You is that belonging is never built by an organization, it is built by a person. Specifically, the person with the most influence in any given room. The book introduces three frameworks: the Identity Clarity Framework (Know Your Story, Know Your Bias, Know Your Impact), the distinction between being culturally informed versus culturally present, and the seven daily habits of belonging. It also introduces a five-question restorative conversation model drawn from my restorative practices work in schools and organizations. The book is organized in three parts. Part One (Go) is about the courage to examine yourself before you lead anyone else. Part Two (Grow) is about building the specific daily habits that translate awareness into presence. Part Three (Glow) is about becoming the kind of person whose presence builds culture rather than erodes it. The book closes with a story about a principal standing at the entrance of her school on the last day of my visit. A boy who hadn’t made eye contact with adults in six months stopped on his way out the door and said to her Good day today. She hadn’t run a program. She had built a building where it was safe to be seen. That is the book. That is the voice. That is what I need help making fully, permanently human.

Project Overview We operate in the US Auto Insurance niche and advertise primarily through Facebook and Instagram. Our goal is to generate qualified leads by encouraging users to complete our online quote flow. Visitors who click our ads are directed to our website, where they submit their contact information and complete a short questionnaire before being connected with insurance providers. About Our Advertising Approach We test multiple creative angles, but one of our most successful approaches is long-form storytelling. We use this format in two ways: 1. Video Storytelling Videos may last anywhere from 2 to 5 minutes and are built around authentic personal stories that gradually lead viewers toward discovering a better insurance option. 2. Static Image + Long Copy This format combines a simple image or photo with a long Facebook post. Instead of selling immediately, the copy tells a believable personal story that keeps users reading, creates emotional engagement, and naturally motivates them to click through to our website. This format consistently performs well because it feels like organic Facebook content rather than traditional advertising. Who We're Looking For We're looking for a native US copywriter. Ideally someone who: was born and raised in the United States deeply understands American culture understands everyday American life knows how Americans naturally communicate online understands the Auto Insurance industry understands homeowners, drivers, middle-class families and retirees knows the emotional triggers behind financial decisions can write stories that feel completely authentic rather than "written by a marketer" We're not looking for polished advertising copy. We're looking for content that feels like a genuine Facebook post written by a real American. Project Goals This project has two objectives. Task 1 — Rewrite Existing Stories We'll provide several existing stories along with our own comments and observations. Your job is not simply to edit the grammar or rewrite sentences. Instead, we want you to improve them significantly. Every rewritten story should: feel more authentic sound like it was written by a real American create stronger emotional engagement be more immersive capture attention from the first few lines maintain curiosity throughout feel relatable to ordinary Americans evoke memories, emotions, everyday struggles and financial concerns naturally motivate readers to continue reading and eventually click the ad Do not change the core concept unless necessary. Improve the execution. Task 2 — Create New Story Concepts We also want completely new story ideas. Initially, we'd like 1–3 original stories. If they perform well, we'd like to continue producing new stories on an ongoing basis. You may use the Facebook Ads Library examples above as inspiration. However: Do not copy existing ads. Instead: understand why they work identify the emotional mechanisms preserve the psychology create entirely new stories with different situations, characters and narratives Our goal is simple: We don't want stories similar to our competitors. We want stories that outperform them.

Content Creator — ACT Prep Ad Campaign (Portfolio-Building Project, Long-Term Potential) About us: We're a tutoring company that's grown entirely through word-of-mouth — enough to keep us fully booked without ever running a single ad. Our 4-week ACT prep course gets results, and we offer it at roughly half the price of comparable courses from our competitors. We have a strong product and we're finally ready to take it to the next level. The project: We're looking for a creator to build the ad content that brings our ACT prep course to a wider audience. The goal is to fill our next course with 50+ students. Here's what makes this rare: we've never advertised online, so this is a true blank slate. Every bit of growth from this campaign is directly attributable to your work — clean before-and-after, real numbers, a case study you can put your name on. For the right person, this is a genuine portfolio centerpiece. What you'd create: Short-form video and visual content for TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube Ad creative for our Google Ads campaigns The hooks and messaging that grab both students and parents Iterations based on what's actually performing Who we're looking for: An emerging or early-career creator who wants a real project to build their portfolio and resume around Someone hungry to make a name for themselves, who'll treat this like it's their own Comfortable leaning on AI tools to work efficiently — we actively encourage it A strong instinct for what makes people stop scrolling The details: Budget: ~$500 for the initial content package. This is paid, and we're upfront that it's lean — the real draw here is the creative freedom and the portfolio piece. If the campaign gains traction, we're open to adding performance-based pay: each student who enrolls is worth about $300 to us, and we'd share a cut of that for the students your content helps bring in. Long-term: This starts as a focused project, but if we click, there's real room to keep going. We're planning online video courses next and would love an ongoing creator partner to grow with us. You'll work directly with me, the founder — not a layer of account managers.
