We are a small consulting firm running paid media for a grassroots congressional campaign in western Kentucky. The creative work is done — we have a 15-page approved storyboard, an editor's pull sheet with every clip and in/out point, a folder of selected footage, and a 6-minute speech master. We need an editor to take those materials and deliver a polished, broadcast-ready :75 vertical (9:16) spot, a 16:9 conform, and a :30 cutdown. A rough cut already exists as a timing reference; your job is to make it great. WHAT YOU GET FROM US Storyboard v4 (PDF): 12 scenes with verbatim VO pulls, on-screen text, footage cast, audio notes, and 16:9 reframe notes. Editor's pull sheet (XLSX): 36 pulls with file, in/out, orientation, mute/sound flag, event/date, and notes; plus a Rules & Excludes tab. Selects folder (Drive): 24 renamed clips/stills, the speech master (1080p, 5:53), and word-level timecodes for every VO line. Rough cut v1 (67s, 9:16) as a pacing reference — rebuild from the sources; do not just polish it. Brand: navy #1B2A4A, red #C8102E, white; Montserrat ExtraBold for captions; text-only end card. DELIVERABLES :75 vertical master — 1080x1920, H.264, 30fps, -16 LUFS, burned-in captions on every VO line; high-bitrate MP4 plus a social-ready MP4. 16:9 conform — 1920x1080, same cut; vertical B-roll handled with blur-fill or split-screen (your call, show us). :30 cutdown — 9:16 and 16:9, per the cutdown map on the storyboard's last page. Project file (Premiere or Resolve) and an SRT for each version. Two revision rounds after the first cut. NON-NEGOTIABLE RULES (they are in the storyboard — read it) VO is verbatim from the speech master. No rewrites, paraphrase, AI voice, or re-ordering words inside a pull. No donate ask. End card is "WILLIAMSFORKY.COM — JOIN US." plus the paid-for line. Zero opponent content: no names, no report-card/F-score props. The Excludes list names every file and frame to avoid. Every candid clip runs muted under the speech unless the pull sheet says SOUND ON (only the crowd chant). Opens and closes on "I am here for you." TIMELINE & BUDGET First full cut within 72 hours of receiving files; final within 7 days. Fixed price $500–$1,000 depending on experience, paid in milestones (test → first cut → final). Strong chance of ongoing work through November 3 (4–6 spots/month) for the right editor. ABOUT YOU US-based; portfolio with political, advocacy, nonprofit, or documentary-style social video; you have cut vertical ads with burned-in captions. You can read a storyboard and a pull sheet and execute without hand-holding — and you tell us when something in the plan does not work. Fast, responsive, comfortable with campaign pace and confidentiality (NDA required; all footage is client property). TO APPLY Send (1) links to your two most relevant spots, (2) your turnaround for the first cut, (3) your fixed price for the three deliverables, and (4) one sentence on how you would handle a 16:9 conform of phone-vertical B-roll. Shortlisted editors get a $150 paid test: Scenes 3 and 9 from the storyboard as a 15-second sample within 24 hours.

About the role I run a lead-gen company for life insurance agents and I've built it largely on content — raw, honest, "here's how the machine actually works." Managing $1M+ in ad spend, the brand is growing, and I need a creative director to turn my raw material into a repeatable signature look and feel. This is not a cut-to-my-brief editing gig. I want someone with a real eye who can take footage and ideas and make them unmistakably mine. The signature you'd be protecting: the honest operator who shows the actual machine. Two modes — the machine (clean, dark-mode data/board visuals = authority) and the man (raw, personal footage = connection). My best-performing content is raw, not glossy; polish for polish's sake makes it generic. Your job is to sharpen that, not replace it. You are: - Someone with genuine taste — you can look at raw footage and know how to cut it so it hits. - A believer that authentic is better than over produced. Restraint over effects. - Able to work in both modes above (clean-authority and raw-human). - Fast, and you finish what you start. - Comfortable with some travel for shoots/events (a plus, not required). You are NOT: - A "cinematic" editor whose reflex is drone shots, heavy color grades, and hype transitions. - Into the fake-guru aesthetic (flexing, fake urgency, rented-lifestyle energy). Hard no. - Someone who needs a detailed brief for every task. I want a partner with an eye. Comp & structure: Paid trial first (real footage, paid) so we both see the fit. For the right person, $3–4k/mo ongoing, remote with occasional travel. How to apply — do this instead of a cover letter: 1. One or two lines on the single thing you'd change about my content, and why. (Instagram: @__hammadkhan_) 2. Link 2–3 examples where your taste shows (not a client's brief you executed). 3. Skip the generic proposal template — I read for taste, not keywords. Shortlisted applicants get a short paid trial cut on my real footage (details below). That cut is the decision, not the resume.

The task is to create interactive, engaging, and educational video content, both long- and short-form, for an educational platform designed for college students. We will provide you with written content and the key concepts we want to teach for each video, and you will develop videos without changing the key concepts or the outlined content. There can be some artistic license to cut some things for time, but the key concepts must be clearly communicated as we see fit. Because this is designed for a college-age audience, we want these videos to be in a format that they will find engaging (ex. Youtube, TikTok, Reels, etc) but still communicate the concepts that we provide. We will provide brand guidelines with the color palettes and font formats we will need you to adhere to as much as possible. Our expectation of the workflow for this process is the following: - We provide you with the brief for the video - You will then create a high-level script or concept for how you plan to transform it into a video that clearly communicates the concepts and content - We will provide feedback or edits if, for example, we feel like the video isn't going to clearly communicate what we expect it to - You will create the video, and we will review and give final approval or provide further feedback for edits We will require that: - Applicants reside inside the United States - Applicants sign NDA's - Applicants submit a portfolio of work for us to review prior to engaging - Applicants complete a Test Assignment to ensure that they are a good fit with the workflow, and that their work is up to our standard - Applicants agree to never upload any content we provide into any AI of any kind in the process of producing our videos
