About the Project This is a start up project for a faith-based mail subscription for children ages 5–11, delivered twice monthly as a gift subscription. We need a talented designer who can bring warmth, whimsy, and scripture-rooted design to physical mail pieces. Full disclosure; This project currently is a one man operation of whom has a full time career as a designer/prepress tech in a commercial print shop. The goal is to grow this to a full time career for myself ahead of continuing changes in the print industry and AI implementation. I have no real established budget yet. I have no experience in children's design so I'm looking for help. If still interested, read on! What You'll Be Designing Each mailing contains four distinct print pieces that must work together as a cohesive seasonal set: Main Card (5×7, double-sided) — The anchor piece. Front: a scripture verse with illustration. Back: a short devotional and an "adventure" — a simple faith-based prompt or activity for the child to engage with. Activity Card (6×4, double-sided) — A seasonal activity insert designed for hands-on fun. Includes word searches, mazes, coloring sets, drawing prompts, and similar activities — all faith-themed and age-appropriate for kids 5–11. Prayer & Verse Memory Card (4×3, double-sided) — A collectible, keep-it-forever card. Front: a guided prayer. Back: the monthly memory verse, designed to be read, repeated, and remembered. Sticker Set (4×3) — A seasonal sticker sheet (3-5 stickers) tied to the monthly theme. Fun, kid-friendly illustrations that reinforce the content and give kids something to use and enjoy. All four pieces must feel like they belong to the same world — unified by seasonal palette, illustration style, and brand voice — while each serving its own format and purpose. Additionally, a single A7 envelope will be needed as well as a welcome card (optional add on) introducing the gift to the recipient. Much of the piece design can be templated so there's consistency to each mailing. What We're Looking For Experience designing for children ages 5–11 — you understand what engages kids without being generic Faith-based design sensibility — you can work with scripture and devotional content naturally and respectfully Strong print fundamentals — bleed, resolution, CMYK, and print-ready file delivery Seasonal awareness — we rotate color palettes and themes throughout the year Ability to design within a brand system consistently across multiple pieces Bonus: experience with children's publishing, subscription boxes, or church/ministry design All text content will be provided and well in advance, as well as suggestions for imagery for illustrations and stickers. Deliverables Per Mailing 4 print-ready files (main card, activity card, prayer/verse card, sticker set) Source files in InDesign (preferred), Illustrator or Canva All files sized and prepped for our print vendor To Apply Please include: Portfolio samples — especially children's content, faith or ministry work, or multi-piece print sets A brief note on your experience with faith-based or values-driven brands Your preferred workflow for ongoing monthly work We're interested in building a long-term relationship with the right designer, not filling a one-time order. If this kind of work lights you up, we'd love to hear from you.

Graphic Designer — Evergreen Creative Campaign System Hot In Herre: 2000s Dance Party · Blisspop Project Overview Blisspop is building an evergreen creative system for Hot In Herre: 2000s Dance Party, our nationally touring event series. We're developing a library of recurring social media campaigns that feel fresh, memorable, and instantly recognizable while reinforcing our brand identity. Our visual direction takes inspiration from 2000s culture but is executed with a modern aesthetic — think ‘inspired by the era’ rather than ‘recreated from the era.’ The Work We want to start by creating one design — the first campaign concept. From there, we'll build new versions of a touring campaign asset, spinning off this concept and developing other concepts like it over time. The first concept centers on a collage of real event photography from our parties. Rather than dates over a solid background, the photography itself becomes the design — a modern lifestyle campaign celebrating the energy, fashion, friendships, and excitement of Hot In Herre. People should stop because they recognize themselves — or because they want to be there. Creative Direction & Style Blend modern editorial design, fashion-campaign layouts, lifestyle advertising, high-energy nightlife photography, premium typography, and contemporary color treatment. The logo stays the hero. The design should feel current while immediately reminding people of the 2000s — a modern campaign inspired by the collective memory of the era, not a retro throwback. Style cues: • Bold typography and strong hierarchy • Confident, modern composition with clean negative space • Premium branding and elevated color grading • Motion-friendly compositions (future consideration) Brand personality: Energetic · Nostalgic · Playful · Youthful · Polished · Premium · Colorful · Social-first First Concept — Treatment Build a background from a carefully art-directed collage of real Hot In Herre event photography. Possible treatments: • Overlapping printed photos and taped snapshots • Disposable camera framing and digital flash photography • Magazine-style crops and layered editorial compositions • Subtle textures where appropriate The result should feel intentional and premium — more fashion campaign than nostalgia gimmick, and never scrapbook or overly distressed. Visual Inspiration Aim for the polish of Spotify, Nike lifestyle campaigns, Acne Studios editorial layouts, Teen Vogue, Nylon, Abercrombie, American Eagle, and Apple Music — using the energy and culture of the 2000s as inspiration. Please Avoid • Nightclub or generic promo aesthetics • Heavy grunge textures or excessive chrome effects • Clip art or generic AI-collage styles • Literal recreations of 2000s advertisements We want inspiration — not imitation. Deliverables Phase 1 — first concept: • One primary Instagram 4:5 campaign asset • Editable, layered source file with organized layers • Linked/packaged fonts • A reusable layout structure we can build on Beyond Phase 1: new versions of the touring asset plus adaptations — Instagram Stories, Facebook, website banners, tour announcements, city-specific versions, and seasonal updates. Project Details Revisions: Three rounds included in Phase 1 Required file format: Layered [Photoshop / Illustrator / Figma — specify] Assets We'll Provide • Hot In Herre logo and brand colors • Tour schedule • Large library of event photography • Existing campaign examples and brand guidelines (where applicable) Who We're Looking For Someone genuinely excited to work in the entertainment space and about branded dance parties — a designer who wants to help build and evolve a creative system over time, not just deliver one-off graphics. We see this as a long-term creative partnership, so we're looking for a collaborator who's energized by the concept and wants to grow it with us. Success Criteria Someone scrolling Instagram should immediately think: “That looks fun.” Then: “Wait… that's Hot In Herre.” The asset should communicate excitement before anyone even reads the tour dates. Future Opportunity Future campaign systems may reinterpret 2000s culture through a modern lens — disposable camera aesthetics, MySpace, AIM, flip phones, magazine editorials, mall culture, music players, road trips, and tour maps, among others. To Apply 1. A portfolio showing editorial, branding, lifestyle, or campaign work 2. Relevant collage, photography, or typography-driven layouts 3. A brief explanation of your approach 4. Any experience building ongoing campaign systems rather than one-off graphics 5. One sentence: how would you keep this concept from looking like a nostalgia gimmick? Bonus Skills Editorial design, art direction, and typography; Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator; motion graphics (nice to have); and experience with entertainment, music, fashion, or lifestyle brands.

We're a fast-moving studio building several SaaS products. The first — closest to launch — is a tool for churches and pastors. A lot of our app is built fast with AI-assisted workflows, which makes it functional but generic-looking. Your job is to give it taste: establish a clean, reusable design system and redesign our core screens so the product feels premium, trustworthy, and genuinely beautiful — then hand polished, dev-ready designs to our developers to build. This starts as a focused contract project — a design system + a redesign of our launch product's key screens — with strong potential to continue ongoing as we add more products. What you'll do Audit our current screens and redesign them into something clean, modern, and premium Build a reusable design system (components, color, typography, spacing, patterns) that our developers build within — so quality stays high without you touching every screen Design user flows and mockups for new features — improve usability, not just looks Hand off dev-ready designs in Figma (organized, spec'd, with all states) that our developers + AI build from accurately Review the built screens against your designs and polish the flows that matter most Bring brand sensibility — for our faith product that means calm, warm, reverent, and trustworthy, not flashy Our setup Our developers build in Next.js + React + Tailwind CSS (often with shadcn/ui). Designs that map cleanly to that world — and a smooth Figma → code handoff — make everyone faster. You don't need to write code, but understanding how design becomes front-end is a real plus. You're a great fit if you Have a portfolio of real SaaS / web-app product design (not just landing pages or logos) Have built or worked within a design system Have strong taste and restraint — you make things beautiful without over-designing Think about user flows and usability, not only visuals Communicate clearly and work independently Can overlap a few hours with US time zones Nice to have Can do light front-end yourself (a "design engineer" who designs and builds in React/Tailwind) Experience designing for faith, community, or trust-sensitive products Comfortable designing within / extending shadcn/ui + Tailwind To apply — answer these (applications without answers are skipped) Share 1–2 SaaS or web-app products you designed. What was the before/after, and what problem were you solving (not just "made it prettier")? Have you built or worked within a design system? Briefly, how? How do you hand designs to developers so they build them accurately? Your part-time weekly availability and US time-zone overlap. Shortlist step (paid) A short paid trial: we'll give you one real screen from our app and ask you to redesign it plus a few sentences on your reasoning. We hire from the trial, not the résumé.
