We are hiring a senior fullstack engineer to own backend-heavy work on this codebase alongside the founder. The role is contributor, not advisory. You will be in the repo, in the queues, in the logs. This is not a greenfield project. Stack - TypeScript end to end - NestJS on the backend, Next.js on the frontend - Postgres - Cloud-hosted infrastructure (AWS) What the work actually looks like - Event-driven processing where correctness under failure is the whole job: idempotency, retries, getting it right when something upstream is down - Background jobs and reconciliation logic - APIs that have to return the right answer even during partial outages - Release discipline: safe migrations against live data, clean rollback paths - Monitoring for a system where a silent failure is worse than a loud one Requirements - 6+ years shipping production backend systems where correctness under failure mattered - Strong opinions about idempotency, retries, and what "at least once" actually means in your code - Comfortable running a migration on a live database without taking it down - Individual contributor only. No agencies, no teams, no subcontracting. The person we hire is the person who writes the code. - Camera on for every call, including the live technical interview and the paid trial review Process 1. Written application answering the screening questions. 2. Authenticity review of profile, work samples, and answers. 3. Live 60-minute technical interview. Camera on. No AI assistance. We will walk through a real engineering problem and ask you to reason about it out loud. 4. Paid trial on a scoped backend task. We pay your rate for the trial. 5. Ongoing contract. We have strict security and compliance requirements. Background checks and identity verification are part of onboarding. Answer the screening questions directly and in your own words. Generic, templated, or AI-pattern answers don't move forward.

Project Overview I have a fully functional React prototype of a proprietary web-based business tool. The prototype has been built, tested, and validated. I need a skilled developer to build the production-ready hosted version. This is a precise execution job. A detailed Developer Brief (provided after NDA) specifies every feature, field, validation rule, output format, and architectural requirement. Your job is to build exactly what is described. The Job The prototype UI is built and working. The primary work is: 1. Replacing local/browser storage with a proper cloud database 2. Building the API layer connecting the UI to the database 3. Implementing the data model, cascade logic, and validation server-side 4. Deploying to a hosted environment at my domain 5. Importing default data at launch 6. Transferring all source code and IP to me This is not a design job. The UI exists. This is a data layer and infrastructure build. Technical Requirements Frontend: React (existing prototype is React/JSX) Backend: REST API or GraphQL connecting to a cloud database Database: Cloud-hosted, persistent (Supabase preferred; alternatives considered) Hosting: Vercel or equivalent (fully documented and transferable to client) Responsive: Desktop and mobile Non-Negotiables No AI features of any kind No third-party analytics, tracking, or data collection No unapproved external dependencies Daily commits to a private GitHub/GitLab repository I own and control — from day one Fixed-price, milestone-driven contract — no hourly billing NDA required before receiving the Developer Brief or prototype IP Assignment Agreement required before work begins All work product belongs to me from the moment it is created What I’m Looking For Strong React experience Solid Supabase or equivalent backend experience Someone who reads specs carefully and builds what is written Clear communicator who flags questions early US-based preferred, but open to others with strong English and relevant experience Proposal Requirements Please submit your proposal with: Your relevant experience (React, Supabase or similar, web app builds) Examples of similar projects Your estimated price range for this type of engagement Your availability and estimated timeline Note: The Developer Brief and prototype are provided only after NDA is signed.

**Scope of Work:** You will be responsible for building an end-to-end automated workflow: 1. **Custom Web Intake Form:** Create a responsive, professional intake form on my existing website. It must support dynamic fields (e.g., adding additional signers on demand) and collect all necessary transaction data. 2. **Stripe Integration:** Integrate Stripe Checkout. The user must be able to pay the $10 deposit directly within the flow. 3. **Backend Automation (Google Apps Script/Webhook):** Create an automated bridge. Upon successful payment verification (via Stripe Webhook), the system must trigger a request to the BlueNotary API to initiate the RON session. 4. **Admin/Logging Dashboard:** Implement a simple logging mechanism (Google Sheets or a backend log) that records every submission, payment status, and the generated BlueNotary session link. 5. **Error Handling:** Implement robust logging and notification (e.g., email alerts) if the API call to BlueNotary fails after a payment is processed. **Technical Requirements:** * **JavaScript/Apps Script:** Must be proficient in Google Apps Script (or similar server-side logic). * **API Expertise:** Proven experience working with REST APIs, specifically BlueNotary and Stripe. * **Security:** Must demonstrate an understanding of secure credential handling (e.g., using PropertiesService or environment variables for API keys—**no hardcoded credentials allowed**). * **Scalability:** The solution must be built for high volume (300+ sessions/month) without recurring subscription costs for form submissions. **Deliverables:** * Fully functional intake form integrated into my website. * Automated backend script/webhook setup. * Documentation (or a short video walkthrough) on how to manage the system and update API keys. * Source code ownership and clear instructions for maintenance. **Interview Questions for Candidates:** * *Please describe your experience with Stripe Webhooks and BlueNotary (or similar document signing) APIs.* * *How do you handle error logging and notifications if an automated API call fails?* * *How do you securely store API keys in an Apps Script or cloud environment?*

We have a Laravel (PHP) / React / MySQL subscription website (examifire.org) that uses Stripe Billing for recurring payments. When a user cancels their Stripe subscription, the website does not remove their access — it's not listening to Stripe's webhook events. This needs to be fixed. What we need: 1. Implement a Stripe webhook handler in our Laravel app that listens for customer.subscription.deleted and customer.subscription.updated (status = canceled or past_due) events, and revokes website access for that user when triggered. 2. A one-time script to deactivate the already-cancelled accounts in our database (we will provide the list of emails). 3. Confirm that Stripe's webhook signing secret is properly validated so the endpoint is secure. Our stack: Laravel (PHP), React, MySQL, hosted on DigitalOcean. Codebase is on GitHub and we will provide access. This is a small, well-scoped job. A developer experienced with Stripe webhooks and Laravel should be able to complete this in 2–4 hours. Please only apply if you have done Stripe webhook integrations in Laravel before.
