Project Title: Build a Data-Driven Mechanical Odometer Animation Generator I need a reusable tool/template that generates 3-digit mechanical odometer videos for a 150+ video series. Visual reference: * Black background * Extreme close-up mechanical odometer * White numbers on black rolling drums * Rugged, cinematic, worn metal housing * Looks like a real odometer, not a digital counter Animation: * Input any 3-digit number, such as 001, 042, 150 * Odometer rolls from previous number to target number * Slow mechanical movement * Chick, chick, chick ticking sounds * Heavy mechanical BOOM / CLACK when the final digit locks * Runtime: 4–5 seconds * Export as MP4 Preferred deliverable: A simple web-based tool where I type the number, click generate, and download the MP4. Important: This is not a one-off animation. I need a reusable system so I can generate 150+ clips myself.

What You’ll Do You'll take footage we film (one on one interviews with journalists, photographers, editors + event clips and selfie style content) and transform it into polished, punchy and graphic heavy social-first video - while still maintaining an editorial tone. Interview topics will largely focus around AI, free press, local news and other topics relevant to the journalism space. If your favorite place to be is locked in on edit, we want to hear from you. To Apply Please include a link to your portfolio and/or social channels and three links to videos you’re especially proud of. Responsibilities - Edit editorial content: 1-3 interviews (from 20-40 minute remote or in-person raw footage) per week, delivering at least two vertical short-form videos (for TikTok, Reels, Shorts) + 1 horizontal YouTube video per week - Create editorial, brand aligned graphics that help tell the story - Source and integrate b-roll (stock, archive, etc.), copyright free music and sound effects to make the video sing - Maintain visual brand consistency across all clips (colors, fonts, bugs/watermarks, lowerthirds, etc.) Who You Are - Video editing and editorial motion graphics extraordinaire (you thrive on thinking of unique ways to tell a story beyond raw footage) - Expert in After Effects and Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, Final Cut Pro or other video editing software - You get excited thinking of what bells and whistles you can add to a video to make it more engaging and shareable - A tech whisperer: You find solutions to tech glitches that plague our time - Familiar with file sharing services like Google Drive, WeTransfer, Dropbox, Frame io - Fluency in short-form, vertical video best practices (while maintaining an editorial style) - Reliable and communicative - Familiarity with AI video editing tools like Opus Clip is a plus - Journalism/newsroom/editorial experience is a plus

We're looking for a skilled video editor who specializes in short-form social media content (Reels, TikTok, YouTube Shorts) to join us on an ongoing, as-needed basis. This is a long-term contract relationship, but the work is project-based. Some weeks will have multiple edits, others none. We're looking for someone reliable who can turn projects around on a flexible schedule and grow with us over time. This is not standard video editing. Short-form for social has its own language: fast pacing, hooks in the first 2 seconds, dynamic captions, sound design, trend awareness, and platform-specific formatting. We need someone who genuinely understands what makes a short-form video perform, not just someone who can cut clips together. What you'll be doing: - Editing raw footage into polished short-form videos for social platforms - Adding captions, b-roll, music, sound effects, and motion/text elements - Cutting for retention; strong hooks, tight pacing, clean transitions Formatting correctly for each platform (vertical, aspect ratios, safe zones) What we're looking for: - Proven experience editing short-form social content (this is a must) - A strong eye for pacing, rhythm, and what holds attention - Reliable communication and consistent turnaround - Self-directed; you can take footage and a brief and run with it To be considered, please include: - A portfolio or reel of short-form work you've personally edited - Accounts or brands you've worked on (links to the actual posts/profiles if possible) - A short note on the tools you use (Premiere, CapCut, After Effects, etc.) - Your typical turnaround time and rate (per video or hourly) We review every application that includes work samples. Applications without examples of short-form work won't be considered. Looking forward to seeing what you've made!

Upwork Video Editor Brief – Northampton Nursery (AOK Studios) Project Overview We're looking for an editor to put together three videos from a 3-day project we filmed for Northampton Nursery. The project follows the transformation of a residential backyard as the crew excavates the space and installs a new flagstone patio. This edit should feel clean, polished, and professional while showcasing the craftsmanship and transformation of the project. Storytelling is important, but pacing should stay engaging throughout. Footage includes: Sony A7S III footage (S-Log) Drone footage 3 days of coverage Before, during, and after construction Deliverables 1. Website Video (30–60 seconds) This is the primary deliverable. The goal is to showcase Northampton Nursery's work in a way that builds trust with potential customers visiting their website. The edit should tell the story of the project from start to finish: Establishing drone shots Before shots of the yard Excavation Crew working Installing the flagstone Detail shots of craftsmanship Finished reveal Final hero drone shots Focus on smooth pacing, clean transitions, and making the project feel premium. 2. Before & After Hype Video (20–40 seconds) This video should focus almost entirely on the transformation. Think: Strong before shots Quick progression through construction Dramatic reveal of the finished patio Impactful pacing Music-driven edit The transformation should be the hero of this edit. 3. Social Reel (15 seconds) Creative freedom. Use whatever moments you think make the strongest short-form piece. Could focus on: Satisfying construction moments Drone reveals Equipment Stone placement Quick transitions Before & after moments The goal is simply to create something engaging that performs well on Instagram. Editing Style We are looking for edits that are: Fast paced without feeling rushed Clean and modern Story driven Premium Natural color grading Strong use of sound design Music that builds energy Please avoid: Overused transition packs Excessive motion graphics Flashy effects Trend edits that won't age well Less is more. Color Color grade all Sony footage. Match drone footage so everything feels cohesive. Keep colors natural and vibrant. Audio Please include: Sound effects throughout Ambient construction audio where appropriate Music that fits the pacing Audio should help sell the project rather than overpower it. Captions No captions are needed. Export Requirements Please provide: 4K export 1080p export if possible H.264 (.mp4) AOK Editing Standards At AOK Studios, we prioritize storytelling over flashy editing. Every shot should have a purpose. Keep clips moving, but don't rush important moments. Build toward the final reveal, maintain visual consistency, and let the transformation speak for itself. Pay attention to shot selection, pacing, music, sound design, and color grading to create an edit that feels polished, intentional, and professional. If you think a sequence could be improved by rearranging shots or trying a different structure, we're open to creative input. We value editors who can elevate the footage rather than simply assemble it.
