Hello! I'm excited to find the right person for my business, to help it continue to grow. What I need is a story architect that can make sure my brand stays on point or an avid reader that feels they know what should have happened next! (Contemporary Romance, Instalove) I have highly detailed series bibles, outlines, and great gw's. A very specific niche, with high reader expectations. What this position is: Analizing manuscripts once the GW is finished, to make sure there's no major holes or issues. Bonuses: Can you spot? weak motivations plot convenience sagging middle scenes that don't earn page time (tighten up word count) pacing dips missing emotional beats timeline confusion weak payoff setup subplot threads dropped stakes not escalating conflict resolved too easily contradictions in world rules Managing High/highs and Low/Lows This is not line editing. It's being able to see the big picture, know the series, worlds and make sure this one compliments and stays on task. If you LOVE spreadsheets / docs / lore bibles. This is for you! If you read romance avidly and are always thinking, why did they do that? What about so-an-so? This is your gig! About the niche: Contemporary romance, short stories, built into a world. Instalove, alpha's, and morally gray scale sliding. Most of the hero's are anti hero. Most of the manuscripts are between 15-35k words. Would you be willing to give a test editing/analysis sample? Thank you! Kristina

Looking for someone with experience editing commercially published fiction. The novel blends suspense, crime, and literary storytelling. I'm seeking line editing and copy editing—not ghostwriting or developmental editing. I'm looking for someone who will make my writing better, not simply correct grammar. I want an editor who preserves my voice while improving clarity, pacing, dialogue, and sentence flow. I'm open to substantial line edits and suggestions where they strengthen the manuscript.

When Proofreading becomes a Treasure Hunt, money is made! This proofreading job is a real treasure hunt. The base pay is 5$ to find typos in a chapter between 3,500 and 5,500 words. For each error found in the text, 10¢ is added as a bonus, so a proofreader can make as much money as there are legitimate errors found and noted in red ink in the hard copy (no digital copy will be provided). Proofreaders who show exceptional skill at discerning the most invisible of typos will be privileged to take on additional chapters on upcoming projects in the future. Proofreaders will be provided with a checklist to assist in methodically hunting for potential errors. Note also that finding 80% of typos is a requirement for job fulfillment, not an option. Finding 95% of errors will add an extra 5$ bonus on top of the 10¢ per error found Treasure Hunt Maximal Pay Formula is: 5$+5$+10¢X=______ $ Requirements are access to an unabridged dictionary, an ability to cull at least 90% of all typos, and lastly, an interest in fantastical literature. If you can handle these basics for being an effective proofreader, send us a note.

I've finished the full draft of a nonfiction book in the personal-development and spirituality space. It's roughly ~25,000 words. Before I take it further, I want an honest, experienced outside read. I'm looking for someone to read it as both a reader and an editor and tell me the truth: where it moves you and where it falls flat, whether the voice is strong and consistent, whether the structure and flow work, where it drags or repeats itself, what's missing, and how it holds up against other books in this genre. I'm not after line editing or proofreading yet. I want big-picture, developmental feedback, and I would much rather hear what's weak than be told it's great. Deliverable: a written assessment, a page or two is plenty, covering the main strengths, the biggest weaknesses, and specific suggestions. Margin notes are a welcome bonus, and a short call to talk it through afterward would be ideal. To be a fit, you should have real experience editing or reviewing nonfiction in self-help, personal growth, spirituality, or memoir, and be comfortable preserving an author's voice rather than reshaping it into your own. In your proposal, please include: a sentence or two on relevant books or projects you've worked on, how you approach this kind of feedback, your rate and turnaround, and, if you're willing, a brief sample critique of the opening few pages. The manuscript is unpublished, so I'll ask the right person to work under a simple confidentiality agreement.
