I have a completed guide for working moms that covers 26 terms (Mental Load, Greedy Jobs, Institutional Lag, Motherhood Penalty, and others). Each term has an Origin section citing specific researchers, papers, and dates from sociology, labor economics, and feminist scholarship. I need someone to go through the guide and verify that every citation is accurate, flag anything that is outdated or could be stronger, and suggest additions where the sourcing is thin. This is a research review and fact-check, not a writing job. The content is done. I need someone who knows this literature well enough to catch errors and strengthen what is there. Familiarity with scholars like Arlie Hochschild, Claudia Goldin, Joan Williams, Allison Daminger, and Michelle Budig is a strong plus.

Job title: Researcher — Vinyl Record Manufacturing: Technical History & Economics of a Modern Pressing Plant Category: Market Research / Industry Research Type: Fixed-price · Budget: $2,000 · Duration: 6 weeks · Experience level: Intermediate Overview We’re looking for a curious, detail-oriented researcher to produce a structured, professional research report (~10 pages) covering the technical history of vinyl and the modern capital and operational requirements to launch a viable pressing plant. Key Research Question How has the technical evolution of the vinyl record shaped current manufacturing standards, and what are the specific capital, equipment, and operational requirements to establish a viable pressing plant in the modern market? Context The history of the vinyl record is a testament to the evolution of sound recording, materials science, and industrial manufacturing. At the same time, it is a fascinating intersection of obsolete yet enduring analog technology — a physical artifact that has consistently resisted obsolescence in the face of numerous digital revolutions. Will this trend continue, or will it become obsolete as technology advances? Objective Produce a comprehensive historical, technical, and economic analysis of vinyl record production. Focus on the format’s lineage, outline the modern vinyl production process, and assess the industrial requirements and costs necessary to establish a fully operational vinyl pressing plant today (specific capital investment, specialized equipment acquisition, skilled labor, etc.). What You’ll Do Conduct independent research on the assigned topic. Gather, review, and summarize academic papers, industry reports, and expert commentary. Synthesize findings into a clear, well-organized report following our standard Research Report Template. The report should reflect independent thinking, strong synthesis, and clear communication — not just a data dump. Who You Are Strong writing and analytical skills. Comfortable reading academic papers, summarizing complex ideas, and identifying key themes. Curious, self-directed, and able to manage your own workflow and deadlines. Excellent written English and ability to cite sources clearly. (Bonus) Familiarity with AI tools like ChatGPT, Elicit, or Perplexity for research support. Requirements Complete one ~10-page report within 6 weeks. Follow our provided report structure and formatting. Provide full references for all sources used. Disclose and fact-check any AI-assisted work per template guidelines. Meet weekly for 30–60 minutes to provide project updates to Advisors. Compensation & Timeline Pay: $2,000 per completed report Timeline: 6 weeks from initiation of project engagement

Help us discover why some home exercise routines become lifelong habits—while others end up collecting dust. We're looking for someone who genuinely enjoys talking with people and uncovering the stories behind their decisions. You'll help people tell the story of their real experiences, rather than selling a product or asking a series of survey questions. Our company develops healthcare technologies in part through NIH SBIR projects. As we prepare for our next phase, we need someone to help us better understand the people and organizations that influence long-term success with home exercise. You'll recruit and interview approximately 12–20 stakeholders over a two- to three-week engagement, while helping us identify promising follow-up contacts and recurring themes. These may include home exercisers, caregivers, therapists, community organizations, manufacturers, distributors, and others identified during the project. Rather than asking people what they might do in the future, our interviews focus on understanding what they have actually experienced. We're interested in the stories behind successful exercise habits, abandoned routines, purchasing decisions, and long-term engagement. We're looking for someone who is naturally curious, builds trust quickly, and is comfortable reaching out to people who may initially have little reason to participate. Experience with customer discovery, qualitative research, UX research, ethnographic interviewing, community outreach, or related work is highly desirable—but exceptional interviewing and communication skills are even more important. We're much more interested in your ability to earn trust, ask thoughtful follow-up questions, and recognize meaningful patterns than in any particular industry background. A detailed Statement of Work and interview framework will be provided to shortlisted candidates.

Job title: Researcher — Automated Cataloging for Mixed Media Collections (Barcode + Location Tracking) Category: Market Research / Research & Analysis Type: Fixed-price · Budget: $2,000 · Duration: 6 weeks · Experience level: Intermediate Overview We’re looking for a curious, detail-oriented researcher to produce a structured, professional research report (~10 pages) on the best available tools and workflows for cataloging mixed physical media collections (vinyl, CDs, books, films, video games, etc.) using barcode scanning or other direct-entry technology. Key Research Question What is the best physical media cataloging software with barcode scanning (or other available technology) and location tracking for mixed media collections? Context Collectors of physical media require an efficient method to catalog items. Manual data entry is time-consuming and prone to error. Barcode scanning presents a solution, but the optimal workflow depends on the collection’s size, the technical requirements of the database, and the need to catalog items with or without standard Universal Product Codes (UPCs). Objective Identify and evaluate available methods, products, programs, and other resources for creating a comprehensive digital inventory of a physical media collection using barcode scanning or other available technology for direct entry into a database. A user should be able to quickly identify the location and location history (which user had it last and where) of the media by querying an application. Also, provide a cost analysis of each option and how it scales based on collection size. What You’ll Do Conduct independent research on the assigned topic. Gather, review, and summarize academic papers, industry reports, and expert commentary. Synthesize findings into a clear, well-organized report following our standard Research Report Template. I need someone who enjoys prepping, survival, emergency mitigation, and resiliency topics. My work covers a breadth of topic areas. I am looking for someone who is experienced at original research (not AI, not copy/paste from Wikipedia), understands source quality, and can pull together various pieces of information on a topic in a written product... This project will start with research on two topics: 1) Hazardous Materials, CBRNE, and WMD Prep (prep for CBRNE or even the everyday hazardous materials versions of these, e.g., chemical spills, outbreaks, and sun radiation exposure; it is helpful to discuss CBR agents, nuclear devices - magnitude, impact, and fallout; protective equipment and safety procedures for CBRNE; preparedness before and for survival during events involving CBRNE), 2) Safety & Security - Fortification Prep (whether at home, in the car, out walking, whether in the current atmosphere or during civil unrest and upheaval, how we fortify our self, our car, and our home are critical to our safety and security) Each topic should be 2 to 5 pages. Please include links to your sources and pull from a variety of sources. Price includes: for each report, I will send 1 round of follow-up questions for you to answer that focuses on what you sent me (to make sure I can fully use the content). Note: if we work well, I have additional topics, typically only one topic per milestone, and will pay for each topic covered.
