Engineering-Grade CAD Modeler, Novel Geometry (Aerospace / Federal R&D) We are seeking an experienced CAD engineer to produce engineering-grade 3D models of a patented novel turbine geometry for downstream CFD and structural analysis. This is a federal R&D engagement with active NASA and NSF SBIR submissions. This is not a design or rendering role. Output must be simulation-ready: dimensionally accurate, fully parametric, and importable directly into ANSYS Fluent, COMSOL, or OpenFOAM without rework. Immediate deliverable: Engineering-grade Fusion 360 model of a quarter-scale unit based on issued USPTO patent drawings and written specifications provided at project start. Exports required in .step, .iges, and .stl formats. Follow-on work available for the right candidate as the platform expands. Requirements Fusion 360 at the engineering level, not consumer/hobbyist Experience producing simulation-ready geometry for CFD or FEA workflows Ability to work from patent drawings and written specifications U.S.-based required Must be willing to sign NDA before project start. Preferred Experience with non-standard or curved surface geometry Familiarity with ANSYS, COMSOL, or OpenFOAM file requirements Prior federal R&D or aerospace work To apply, include: Portfolio samples showing engineering-grade CAD, especially curved or parametric geometry Brief description of experience producing simulation-ready files Rate and availability Budget: Open based on demonstrated capability. Timeline: Phase 1 delivery within 3-4 weeks preferred.

Good Ground Innovation is an independent invention company with three issued USPTO patents. We are preparing to execute a funded NSF SBIR Phase I computational fluid dynamics program built around a patented omnidirectional energy capture architecture. The invention exists. The patent is issued. Phase I is a rigorous characterization program, not an invention program. We need someone battle-tested who wants to work on something genuinely novel. Full scope is disclosed under NDA only. What you will do: Model fluid dynamic energy capture performance of a patented geometry across multiple fluid media and mounting configurations. Deliver defensible performance curves, structural specifications, and design data sufficient to support Phase II hardware fabrication. What we need: Expert level CFD with real solver decision-making experience, not just interface operation. Turbulence modeling, multiphase flow, fluid structure interaction, mesh generation, boundary condition setup, validation methodology, and post-processing. ANSYS Fluent, STAR-CCM+, or OpenFOAM at expert level. Engagement: 6 months, Phase II extension likely. NDA required before full scope disclosure. To proceed: Express interest and relevant experience. NDA follows.

I am seeking an experienced FEA freelancer or consultant with strong Abaqus expertise to model the behavior of glass substrates subjected to thermal processing and subsequent mechanical/thermal events. The initial scope focuses on developing an FEA model of glass and quantifying the residual stress state generated by different thermal treatments. Follow-on work will extend the model to include small geometric features and evaluate how those features interact mechanically, including their impact on stress redistribution and fracture behavior.
