Hello, we're a motion design studio called BIEN. Our focus is inclusive design/animation. I am looking for someone who is well versed in using Descript to edit some social media clips from our "Founders Interview". I recorded a 1.5 hour conversation with me, our sales rep and our creative director discussing our origin story, how we work, etc. There are two parts to the job: 1) Set up my Descript project in 9:16 format so I can edit in the future. I need to put each speaker (3 total) on a separate layer, and ensure auto multicam is functioning properly. I also need a quick tutorial on how to use layouts, as we'll create a custom layout for future use. I will use Underlord to edit, as well as edit manually. 2. Edit 10 short clips, under 2 minutes apiece. The goal is to create content that show our target audience who we are, what we believe in, and how we work. You can choose clips that would be most interesting to creative directors, producers and marketers who would potentially hire us. I've attached the interview questions to give you an idea of the content we covered. Ideally this can be done by end of week.

I'm the author of In 49 States, a YA sports fiction novel inspired by a true story. I need a 60-second cinematic book trailer for YouTube, my author website, and Amazon Ads. This is a collaborative project. I have a clear idea for how the first 10 seconds should open, and a few basic clips I'd like incorporated, but I need a creative partner who can fill in the remaining gaps, suggest shots/scenes I haven't thought of, and shape the whole thing into a cohesive trailer — not just someone executing a locked script. What I'll provide: A creative brief covering my opening concept, key scenes I want included, and how I want it to end A few existing clips/images to incorporate A reference track for tone/energy (see music note below) What I need: Someone who can generate AI video for the scenes I don't have footage for (Runway, Sora, Kling, or similar), with a consistent theming, style, and, to some extent, characters across shots. Strong music editing/splicing skills — I need someone who can creatively cut and arrange a track to match pacing and emotional beats, not just drop a song under the video An emotionally-driven hook in the first 8-10 seconds Text overlays that read with sound off Two rounds of revisions included Music note: I want the energy and emotional arc of Avicii's "Broken Arrows" (underdog-athlete anthem, big country-tinged build) but need a properly licensed track for the final deliverable — a sync-licensed track, royalty-free library track, or similar. I can provide the Avicii track as a mood/reference only. Please mention if you have experience sourcing licensed music that matches a reference track's feel. Ideal candidate: comfortable with both AI video generation tools and traditional editing/music work, experience with YA or narrative trailers, and genuinely collaborative — I have strong opinions on parts of this and blanks on others, and need someone who can work with both.

Overview Intrigue Studios is a New York-based video production company working with mid-size and national brands. Our work spans TV and social commercials, documentary-style brand films, testimonial videos, and ongoing content systems for brands running high-volume social and digital programs. This is a part-time freelance position with guaranteed recurring hours — not project-to-project work. The right person grows into a full-time role as our client base expands. We're at that stage now. The Role This position has two layers. Some of the work is foundational — rough cut assembly, footage organization, sync work, and preparing timelines for finishing. That's part of the job, especially early on. The rest is primary editing — taking a brief and producing a polished, client-ready cut. Pacing decisions, story structure, B-roll integration, music, titles, and delivery. How much time you spend at each level depends on your capability. An editor who can produce clean, confident work independently moves into the primary editing role faster and takes on more of it. Someone who needs more direction stays closer to the foundational work until they've earned the trust. We drive the creative direction. You execute it — and eventually, you anticipate it. What You'll Be Editing Monthly Content Systems — Recurring editing work under a monthly production retainer. Structured, repeatable workflows producing batches of social and website video assets for the same brand on an ongoing basis. This is the core of the current workload. Social Media Promos — Short-form cuts for Instagram, Facebook, and digital placements. Aspect ratio flexibility (1:1, 4:5, 9:16, 16:9) is standard. Testimonial Videos — Interview-style cuts with B-roll integration, built for websites, social, and sales use. Explainer and Product Promo Videos — Longer-form, conversion-focused content with clear structure and messaging hierarchy. TV and Social Commercials — Broadcast-ready and digital cuts, sometimes requiring multiple spec deliverables. Brand Film Edits — Documentary-style brand stories, typically 2–5 minutes, blending interviews, B-roll, and music. Required Skills - Adobe Premiere Pro — proficient and fast. Slow editors don't work on deadline-driven client projects. - Strong editorial instincts — pacing, rhythm, knowing what to cut and why - Experience with interview and testimonial footage - Ability to work from a brief with minimal back-and-forth - Consistent communication and reliable turnaround Desired Skills (Move You to the Top) - Motion Graphics — Lower thirds, title cards, text animation. Clean and intentional. - Adobe After Effects — Compositing, motion work, Dynamic Link workflows - Color Grading — Lumetri competency at minimum. DaVinci Resolve is a plus. - Sound / Audio — Dialogue cleanup, music mixing, broadcast-level leveling. Not looking for a dedicated mixer — just someone who finishes the job properly. What to Include in Your Proposal Generic proposals won't get a response. Tell me: - What types of content you've edited most and where you're strongest - Which bonus skills you have and at what level — be specific - Links to 2–3 samples. Testimonial cuts, social promos, or commercial work preferred. Range matters. - Your typical turnaround on a short social cut (under 60 seconds) - Your desired hourly rate and weekly availability Who This Is For - Editors who are fast, confident, and don't need their hand held on execution - Someone who wants stable, recurring work — not gig-to-gig uncertainty - A collaborator who takes direction well, asks smart questions, and holds themselves to a high standard - Someone looking to grow — this position has a real path to full-time for the right person

Summary Looking for a video editor where you will primarily only work on creating the short form content for our channel. This would come with the most consistent work you will probably ever find on this site :) You would mainly work on reviewing reels and shorts from platforms like instagram, tiktok, and youtube, and determining the right themes for wide reach (I will walk you through this process). Then take our long form content and cut up segments that align with these themes. You would be joining a great team where you can learn and grow as well as make some great content. Must be hard working, team player, meet deadlines, and communicative. If interested please, don't send an ai generated response. Thanks! BONUS POINTS: If you know golf
