I work with authors and publishers, primarily in the romance and fantasy genres, to elevate the quality of their books through multiple stages of editing. I have years of experience editing romance and fantasy novels, including work with many tropes and sub-genres. I especially love editing queer romance, dark romance, and paranormal romance.
We could be a great fit if you are:
1) A romance or fantasy author looking for an editor before you self-publish, or before submitting your manuscript to traditional publishers
2) A publisher who specializes in romance or fantasy novels looking for a consistent, reliable editor to help with plot development, developmental edits on first drafts, line editing, or copyediting/proofreading.
I love romance and fantasy books, and I understand what makes a story great. I love playing “book doctor”—finding things that aren’t working in the story and giving solid, actionable feedback to fix it. And I understand the nitty gritty details of working with the English language to communicate a story to the reader. I follow the Chicago Manual of Style, while deferring to each author’s unique voice, and I make all edits in Word using Track Changes.
Send me a message with your word count, genre, timeline, and the type of editing you’re looking for, and we can get started!

Most writers are afraid that their work contains mistakes or typos that will distract from their message. As an editor, I catch those mistakes and polish your writing so that you can share your content with confidence.
A great message can get lost when it lacks clarity or contains errors. As a native US-English speaker, I can identify when something should be reworded for clarity and flow. I am a detail-oriented reader, which means that I can spot typos and grammar errors as well.
Clients who work with me also get the benefit of an editor who has been a school librarian for over 15 years. My experience with children’s books, middle-grade books, and educational content is helpful for authors writing kid lit and curriculum.
From first draft to final product, I can edit:
✔️Nonfiction books
✔️ Children's literature (picture books, middle-grade, YA)
✔️Graphic novels (comic books)
✔️ Curriculum and educational content
✔️ Presentation and webinar slide decks
✔️ Blogs and web content
✔️ AI video captions and transcripts
✔️ Content that has been translated into English or was written by a non-native English speaker
My editing services include:
✅ spelling
✅ typos
✅ grammar
✅ formatting
✅ continuity
✅ flow
✅ syntax and word usage

I’m a ghostwriter and manuscript editor with over five years of experience helping authors write and publish books that read with natural, confident English. Whether you’re working in your second language, building from scattered notes and voice recordings, or editing a translated draft that isn’t quite flowing the way you want, I can help you take it to publication-ready.
My core services are ghostwriting, developmental editing, line editing, copyediting, and proofreading. I work across memoir, Christian nonfiction, business, self-help, fantasy, romance, science fiction, and thrillers, and I deliver every manuscript to Amazon KDP standards so your book is ready to publish the moment we’re done.
As a licensed Pharmacist, I also bring specialist expertise to medical, pharmaceutical, and scientific manuscripts, making complex content accurate, clear, and trustworthy to general readers without requiring extra research from you.
What I offer:
Ghostwriting and Creative Rewriting—
Share your ideas, lived experiences, voice notes, or rough chapters in whatever format you’re comfortable with. I’ll shape them into a structured, compelling manuscript with strong narrative flow and natural English that still sounds completely like you. Full confidentiality is guaranteed on every project and NDAs are always welcome.
Developmental Editing—
If your manuscript feels stuck, scattered, or incomplete, this is where we start. I identify structural gaps, pacing problems, unclear themes, and weak transitions, then deliver a chapter-by-chapter action plan with a detailed editorial letter and inline comments so you can revise with confidence.
Line Editing and Copyediting—
Sentence-by-sentence editing for clarity, grammar, and natural English flow. Your writing becomes polished and professional without losing your voice or message. Delivered with Track Changes in Word plus a clean final version. Ideal for post-translation editing and bilingual manuscript polishing.
Proofreading—
A thorough final review before publication. I catch every remaining grammar, spelling, punctuation, capitalization, and formatting issue so your manuscript is completely clean before it goes live. Human eyes only, no AI.
Beta Reading and Honest Feedback—
Reader-focused insights before you invest in full editing. Clear, supportive feedback on flow, voice, structure, and engagement, delivered in plain English and with genuine cross-cultural sensitivity.
Medical and Technical Editing—
For healthcare, pharmaceutical, or scientific manuscripts, I ensure your content is accurate, clearly written, and accessible to general readers, backed by my training and licensure as a Pharmacist.
How we work together:
1. Discovery Call: We talk about your goals, timeline, and budget. I review your materials and recommend the right service for your project.
2. Clear Proposal: Fixed pricing, exact scope, milestones, and timeline. No surprises, no hidden fees.
3. Milestone Deliveries: Work is broken into stages you review and approve before we move forward. You stay in control throughout.
4. Regular Updates: Weekly check-ins, or more frequent if you prefer, so you always know exactly where things stand.
5. Final Delivery: A publication-ready manuscript with your editorial letter, tracked-changes version, and clean final copy, formatted and ready for Amazon KDP or any self-publishing platform.
Why authors come back:
You work directly with me on every project. Nothing is outsourced. I take on a limited number of manuscripts at a time so your work gets full attention and a reliable turnaround. I specialize in supporting non-native English speakers with patient, encouraging collaboration that protects your voice, your ideas, and your identity on every page. Full confidentiality and NDAs are standard, and I support you from rough draft to published book, every step of the way.
If you have a manuscript that needs editing or a book idea that needs writing, click Invite to Job and tell me about your project. I’ll review your materials and recommend the clearest, most direct path to your finished book.

Hello! I’m an early-rising, coffee-drinking, book-loving freelance editor who is passionate about children’s literature and picture books. I aim to encourage, inspire, and lend a helping hand along your journey as an author.
Many editors focus on grammar alone. I focus on how your story feels to a child—and how it connects with who it’s meant to reach. I specialize in read-aloud flow, ensuring your story sounds natural, engaging, and enjoyable in any setting. I also bring a strong awareness of audience and market positioning, helping your book meet the expectations of its target readers.
I work with picture books, early readers, and middle grade manuscripts, supporting authors at every stage—from big-picture structure and pacing to final polish.
My Experience...
With over a decade of editing experience, I use my bachelor's in education and editing training from the University of Michigan to focus specifically on children’s and picture book manuscripts. Over the past several years, I've worked with many wonderful authors—from debut authors to best-selling. Often, authors I’ve worked with include me in the acknowledgements of their published books.
Beyond my experience and training, I truly know kids’ books. So well, in fact, I have quite a few favs I can read to my little guys without looking at the words (but don’t tell them). I’m well acquainted with classic authors like Bill Peet, Lois Lensky, and Maurice Sendak. I know authors who have been around for a while, like Laura Numeroff, Stan and Jan Berenstain, and Patricia Polacco. And I keep up with newer authors like Jez Alborough, James Dean, and Karma Wilson. I even have a vintage children’s book collection (something my husband fails to fully appreciate, lol).
Let’s Work Together...
I know what makes a good book, and, more importantly, I know how to make one just a little better. I can help you add that unique flair, catch that wee little thing kids won’t like or may stumble on, or shine up a line that will bring an extra-big laugh.
All you need to know about me before we work together is that I’m a Christian, and I try to ensure the projects I take on reflect my beliefs. I’m flexible, easy to work with, and honest. Never a need to be nervous or fearful about handing over your manuscript. I’d like us to be a team and make your book the best it can be. My goal is to be helpful by finding mistakes, offering suggestions, and providing constructive, encouraging feedback.
