I'm a systems-level software engineer specializing in Rust, C++, and low-level infrastructure development. I build high-performance tools that operate close to the metal—from PostgreSQL extensions and database proxies to file system monitors and network protocol implementations. My work spans the full stack from systems programming (FUSE, Wire Protocols, libp2p) to database engineering (PostgreSQL, distributed systems) and backend development with JavaScript/TypeScript. I've delivered production solutions at Meta that reduced debugging time from minutes to seconds, built systems handling over 20,000 concurrent users, and contributed to major open-source projects, including ParadeDB. Whether you need custom database tooling, performance-critical CLI applications, or systems integration work, I create reliable and efficient solutions that scale.

I build and fix high-performance backend and real-time systems in Rust, where latency, throughput, and correctness are the numbers that decide whether the product ships. When a service stalls under load, drops data, or cannot keep up in real time, I find the wall and remove it.
I publish original benchmark research on async-runtime failure modes, so that reasoning behind a fix is legible, not a black box.
What I do
- Performance engineering in production Rust: diagnosing and removing tail latency, executor starvation, lock contention, false sharing, allocator pressure, and missing backpressure. These rarely show from the symptom alone. I find the real cause with tokio-console and flamegraphs and prove the fix with before-and-after p99 numbers.
- High-throughput data and compute infrastructure: real-time ingestion and streaming pipelines with bounded end-to-end latency, exactly-once processing, crash recovery, and horizontal scaling with automatic failover. Hot-path in-memory work split from a cold analytical store so latency-sensitive processing never waits on historical queries.
- Real-time systems with hard guarantees: lock-free SPSC ring buffers, single-copy handoff, no dropped samples, determinism treated as a requirement rather than a hope.
- Rust and WebAssembly: compute and rendering compiled to wasm32 and running in-browser via WebGPU, native-class performance with no server round-trip.
- GPU-accelerated processing and visualization of high-frequency sensor data: hundreds of channels at kHz rates with signal-processing compute (FFT, filtering, fusion) inside the same frame, native and in-browser. The hardest end of the real-time spectrum, where most CPU tooling gives out.
- C, C++, Java and Python to Rust migration: the FFI boundaries, unsafe, and zero-copy interop that do not auto-port.
Recent work
- A high-throughput ingestion pipeline sustaining 40-plus events per second with zero drops: write-ahead-log crash recovery, gap detection with source fallback, and an auto-healing design built to scale past 5,000 events per second, with a hot in-memory path separated from a cold TimescaleDB store for historical and backtest queries.
- Original research on async executor starvation showing a 101x p99 scheduling-overhead increase when blocking code saturates the runtime's workers, instrumented with tokio-console.
When to hire me
You have a domain-first product in instrumentation, hardware, infrastructure or cluster observability, robotics, sensing, or finance, and it is blocked by a hard systems problem outside your team's discipline, where getting the abstractions, the latency, and the correctness right matters more than shipping fast. That is the work I am built for.

Rust Blockchain Infrastructure & Distributed Systems Engineer | Solana • Move VM • High-Performance Backends
I build production-grade Rust backend infrastructure that powers blockchain protocols, RPC services, data pipelines, and distributed systems. My code doesn’t just “work” — it is correct, observable, fault-tolerant, and built to survive real-world load.
If you need a Rust engineer who understands systems, protocols, reliability, and scale (not just feature coding), I design infrastructure that future teams can maintain with confidence.
What I Do
I specialize in blockchain infrastructure and backend engineering:
• Distributed systems & high-throughput backends (Rust)
• RPC / JSON-RPC / gRPC servers for blockchain nodes & validators
• Durable execution engines, intent pipelines & submission systems (Solana)
• Move VM runtime & smart contract execution layers
• Async message brokers & event pipelines (Kafka, NATS, Redis Streams)
• On-chain data ingestion, indexing & wallet analytics pipelines
• Observability, structured logging, tracing & fault-tolerance
• Performance optimization, memory profiling & horizontal scaling
• Internal protocols, serialization & deterministic execution
I actively build and maintain open-source Rust projects focused on durable execution, high-performance RPC services, transaction security, and blockchain data pipelines.
Engineering Values
Most engineers focus on features. I focus on systems that survive real-world load.
That means:
✔ Clear boundaries & clean interfaces
✔ Deterministic, predictable behavior
✔ Structured error handling & recovery paths
✔ Observability + metrics + tracing
✔ Performance-aware async design (Tokio/Axum/Tower)
✔ Maintainable code & backwards compatibility
My systems are readable, testable, diagnosable, and operable.
Typical Projects
Clients hire me to:
• Build or fix Rust backends for Solana, Move, or multi-chain protocols
• Design durable execution platforms and RPC infrastructure
• Implement high-throughput data pipelines and indexing services
• Add reliability, observability & fault-tolerance to existing systems
• Optimize latency, memory usage and throughput
• Integrate Kafka/NATS/Redis for blockchain event streaming
Good Fit For
✔ Blockchain infrastructure teams, validator operators & DeFi protocols
✔ Companies scaling on-chain data or RPC services
✔ Technical founders who need production-grade Rust systems
✔ Long-term reliability & maintainability, not quick hacks
Not a fit for:
✘ Pure frontend or mobile-only work
✘ “Just ship an MVP” projects with no reliability requirements
Tech Stack
Languages: Rust (primary), TypeScript
Rust Ecosystem: tokio, axum, tower, tracing, serde, sqlx, reqwest
Blockchain: Solana, Move VM, JSON-RPC, validators & oracles
Data & Infra: Postgres, Redis, RocksDB, ClickHouse, Kafka, NATS
Tools: Docker, Linux, Nix, CI/CD, AWS, bare metal
My Philosophy
Production systems must be reliable, understandable, maintainable, observable and upgradeable.
I write code that fails loudly and predictably, surfaces metrics, scales horizontally, isolates failures, and treats correctness as a non-negotiable feature.

I'm an open-source programmer looking to capitalize on his skill set. I specialize in Rust and I'm a regular contributor of bugfixes and features to various open-source projects involving the language. My expertise lies in low-level optimizations, the notable ones I did for the main rust-lang umbrella being:
* Polly optimizer to rustc
* Alternative aliasing rule (`#repr(transparent)`) to rust-bindgen
* Well-received prototypes for fast-math floating-point optimizations
I'm comfortable with `unsafe` Rust code and interop with C or C++. I've been coding since 2009 and have used various programming languages besides those two. Can probably pick up C#, Python, Java, Kotlin or Scala within a day or two if the situation calls for it.
Recently did a non-trivial personal project involving the WebRTC standard and I would say I'm reasonably confident in my knowledge of:
* Its underlying base protocols (DTLS, SRTP, and SCTP)
* Congestion control algorithms
* Video encoding involving H.264 and its transport
