I create, hone, or translate content to your voice, and your needs. Communication, and writing are important to my daily life. Besides a B.A. in French—focusing in Queer identity in Quebec—, and a B.A. in Theatre—focusing in playwright diction—, I have been a tutor, and an editor since 2010. I work in either American English, or General British English. As of 2023, I have completed a CertHE in Scottish Gaelic, and working towards a master’s. I have worked on college publications, freelance translations, and my own personal writings. My focus is on literature (literary fiction to fantasy), and editing style changes throughout history (a famous example, two, or one spaces after a full-stop, and the typographical concerns of both). With excellent organization skills, a communication-based work ethic, and a precisian's (technically preciseness, and not precision; however, this is a changing term) dedication to editing; I can offer: • Ghostwriting • Online Work (including Social Media presence) • Editing (Developmental, Structural, Copy, and Line) • Proofreading • Fact-checking • Research (Cultural history, linguistic, religion, and food, especially) • Sensitivity Reading (Gay, minority religion, anti-Semitism, and historical European cultures) • Beta-Reading Some of my core beliefs are honesty, clarity, and hard work. Flexibility is one of my strengths, and I seek to use it for your good, and your project's success. My standard turnover is 30k words/week for a full, and detailed report; however, if your turnover needs to be quicker, I am flexible. Random Facts About Me (for those who want to know): I am learning Scottish Gaelic, and Icelandic (though this is a slower language to learn for me) presently. My continuing side project is going through works that have not been published in English, and translating them into English. My two current favorites are Mávahlátur, and Jernalderdrøm.

**Working in the finance industry -- telecommunications background, freelance experience transcribing audio content, writing content, and editing content -- app designer and developer for web and moblie** I type over 90 words per minute, I'm a speed reader, and my mouse sensitivity is set to maximum. I use keyboard hot keys, and I have a very swift pace of work. I'm already knowledgeable in a wide number of fields, having worked in real estate, telecommunications, legal practice, and finance, and I've used Base44 to design, develop, and publish a number of web/mobile that I invite you to try out. My wide background of experience, and fluency with the written word, makes me an ideal candidate for freelance writing and editing roles, as well as startups looking to develop and prototype their mobile app and start beta testing with real users and their feedback. My content marketing philosophy is a relatively simple two step process - one, create a large, valuable body of content for a blog, as a foundation to demonstrate industry expertise to the public; two, to then start doing interviews with other experts in the industry to "cross pollinate" our web presences, and we both share the resulting interview-based blog article in our social feeds, and the articles do extremely well in SERP results, usually taking the top spot fairly quickly, since they heavily favor recent social media shares. That early momentum, paired with top-quality content, makes for long-term dominance in the SERPs, and a well-connected website in the industry, with many web-links shared with other relevant experts, guaranteeing you a long-term presence in the industry of your focus. Overall I'm a person who is a geek, I am passionate about knowledge, and I have learned a lot in my years here in this world. I have a wealth of wisdom to share with audiences, and I am passionate about finding out how things work and sharing that with others. This pairs excellently with well-researched content, and I love sharing important information with people who can benefit. This value I look to provide to the end-user in the marketplace, is the foundation of the equation we're looking to satisfy. Some of my side projects include mobile app design and development. I have my app portfolio on Github (User Carl4000) where I have about a dozen different mobile apps. One of my apps is like "Shazam" for musical scale, able to identify the scale / chord progression of a song just by hearing it. I have another app that's a game, a take on chess for 4 players called Loopchess. I develop apps in Base44 and would be glad to explore making such a prototype for a client. These are useful in beta tests, and helping create a working prototype app early on in production phase. Base44 can't handle super-large user-loads, so eventually as your launches get bigger, you'll need someone to develop the prototype into Swift, but you'll be using your developer billable time much more effectively if you can give them a prototype app already made, that you like, that they just need to copy into the new language. It really helps nail down the variables and questions with me early, like the wireframer, and then you can take that to the Swift developer who can deliver you an actual app in the iOS store and most-effectively use their time, which can cost $5k-15k or more. I'm like if you took a zero off that price tag and still able get 80-90% of your work done there, and get it to usable prototype stage so you can maximize the effectiveness of your billable time with the iOS/Android developers.

I'm a detail-focused writer and editor with experience in narrative analysis, content evaluation, and language refinement. I've contributed to projects ranging from beta reading novels to rewriting AI-generated text and reviewing websites and audiobooks. Across each role, my goal is the same: to help clarify meaning, strengthen structure, and ensure the voice fits the context. I'm especially comfortable working with language that needs a more natural tone — whether that means rewriting, polishing, or offering precise, constructive feedback. I prioritize flow, tone, and clarity, with a sensitivity to how language shapes the reader’s experience. I bring a broader perspective from ongoing study in literature, theater, philosophy, and history — all of which inform how I think about narrative, structure, and communication. I'm also interested in game design and storytelling systems, and I enjoy collaborative work where tone and pacing matter. I work carefully, communicate clearly, and aim to contribute meaningfully — not by self-promoting, but by listening closely to what a project needs and responding with care and precision.

I treat every manuscript that comes my way with the respect, dedication, and sensitivity that I want from those reading my work. My goal is to help make stories their strongest selves while keeping the author’s voice and vision at the forefront. My clients are entrusting me with a piece of themselves, and honoring their authenticity is of the utmost importance. As a writer myself under my pen name I understand the vulnerability involved in sharing your work. Working with a ghostwriter should be a personal experience. I will treat your books with the same respect and care that I would treat my own. My true purpose as a ghostwriter is not just to help you create a polished manuscript, but to enhance your creativity. When we reach the finish line, I aim for not only a stronger book but also for you to feel your story has been authentically told. I specialize in Romance and Cozy Mysteries along with their subgenres. Whether you are a new author or a seasoned veteran, my passion lies in helping you make your book as strong as possible. My portfolio includes works from self-published and traditionally published authors alike. I have ghostwritten multiple titles across various genres, ensuring each story is engaging, unique, and true to the author's vision. Testimonials from past clients: Jacqueline has a fantastic attitude. She’s willing to jump in and help wherever needed, and she was always willing to go the extra mile to complete projects. She has been incredibly helpful in many different areas—social media, proofreading/editing, data tracking, and countless other day-to-day tasks. She is a fast learner and a great team player. We even asked her to step outside her usual duties to complete a large-scale content edit on a novel, and she expertly handled the additional responsibilities. -Emma Nelson, Executive Editor at Owl Hollow Press Jacque Reineri/Claerie Kavanaugh has been a valuable beta reader for my Haunting Fairytales Series. Punctual with deadlines and insightful, she is a valuable person to have as part of my lead up to finishing my  projects. Her comments and eye for detail have helped shaped my books into something I am proud of. ~ Bestselling and Award-winning author R. L. Weeks. I had the privilege of having Jacque beta read my novel, KEEPER. Not only was Claerie enthusiastic and genuine with her notes, but she was honest and straightforward—which is exactly what you want in a beta. Her constructive criticism really helped guide a lot of my revisions and I am really grateful for her meticulous eye. She was also, and continues to be, an excellent cheerleader for the project. She makes writers feel comfortable with the process and works hard to make sure she provides feedback the author can really use. She is a lovely person and one I would love to work with again! ~Kim Chance, author of Keeper Claerie is one of the only editors I've met who can truly appreciate the big picture of a rough draft. Working with her was a dream experience. She always puts her client first and is available at any time for you to ask questions or if you have concerns about your manuscript. She finished up my manuscript two weeks ahead of schedule, yet it oozed with months of work. With NaNo coming up again shortly, I'll definitely be contacting her again! ~ Nicohle Christopherson, author of Knight of Kuryle (Unpublished)
