you have to mathematically prove why the ISI is minimized and discuss how you came to that conclusion.
we are designing a causal p(t) which is a real-valued unit-energy continuous-time causal pulse and d in which d is a non-negative integer to be designed also.
In order to recover each symbol ks , the receiver samples the signal at time t=(k+d)Ts , k = ⋯ ,-2,-1,0,1, 2,...
Objective of this project is to design this pulse p(t) and d so that the energy of the designed pulse p(t) outside the frequency band [-1/Ts,1/Ts] is minimized as much as possible.
