I live in Florida but am a licensed attorney in another state. Over the last four years, we have been scammed by several contractors and other parties while trying to have our house repaired after Hurricane Sally. We have been through insurance claims, a public adjuster, unlicensed contractors, and criminal proceedings but have yet to recover anything close to our losses (close to $200,000) due to these inept parties. Having collected all of the evidence myself, I know the case better than anyone, but I need someone with expertise in Florida construction law to review the case and give me further guidance before we pursue other avenues. I would like to pay a flat or hourly rate for an initial consultation.
