I'm a CAD designer with a specialty in additive manufacturing. For years I've helped others design and render models for additive manufacturing(FDM, MSLA, DMLS, etc), as well as some traditional manufacturing processes (Lathe, CNC, EDM, etc). I'm here now looking for new challenges and opportunities. Whether it's just an idea you'd like to see realized in 3D, or a design for product manufacturing, I'm here to help! I've acquired various machinery over the years, including but not limited to: 3d printers, Lathe, Mill, mig/tig welders, etc. To that end, I can prototype your design, so you can have a physical model in hand before sending the designs off for manufacturing.

As a Manufacturing Engineer, my duties are to design not only the parts that customers need, but also, help optimize the part design, prototype the design, create detailed blueprints for manufacturing and even design the injection mold tools that will produce the parts in mass. After the design is started, I collect all information to assist with the part designing process. I create the preliminary part design then, work with the customers to make any adjustments that may be needed. Through this time I 3d print prototypes if needed to send to the client. We then have a final review to make sure the design is functioning and cost effective for manufacturing processes. Once the design is approved, I can design the injection mold tool if needed. I can help to source manufacturing and offer consulting for any questions through the entire process. For some customers I program the CNC mills and lathes in order to produce every component needed to make the parts or injection mold tools. At my full time job I work doing all of the same things from above, We design parts, and injection molds, build the molds then run them all in house. After the first run we verify all dimensions are within tolerance make any changes needed then start production. I have designed many molds that are being used for 5-10 year+ contracts making automotive parts, aerospace, military and defense, government contracts, medical etc. I have 15 years of experience in 3d modeling, concept design, part design, 3d printing and rapid prototyping, CNC programming and much more. I'm proficient in Solidworks, AutoCAD, Camworks, Fusion 360, Inventor and many other programs used to design parts. I'm taking online classes for Manufacturing Engineering at Sinclair Community College in my spare time. I have the following certifications for SolidWorks and Camworks: Associate- Mechanical Design (CSWA) Associate- Additive Manufacturing (CSWA-AM) Professional- Mechanical Design (CSWP) Professional- Advanced Mold Making (CSWP-AMM) Professional- Advanced Surfacing (CSWP-AS) Professional- Advanced Drawing Tools (CSWP-DT) 14 Camworks certifications 112 SolidWorks certifications (continuing education from 2010-present) If I can help assist in any CAD designs, product designs, CNC programming,3d printing/ prototyping, product rendering, manufacturing, sourcing, reverse engineering, injection mold design, 3d printing or anything else please reach out as I'd love to see if I can help. Hi, I’m Landon 👋 I help inventors, startups, and businesses turn ideas into real products through CAD design, prototyping, manufacturing, electronics integration, and 3D printing. Unlike many CAD freelancers, my background comes from years of hands-on work across manufacturing, machining, fabrication, electronics repair, and mechanical systems. That experience allows me to design products that not only look good on screen but are practical to build, assemble, test, and manufacture in the real world. Whether you’re starting with a sketch, refining an existing concept, reverse engineering a part, or developing a product for production, I can help with: • Product Design & Development • Shapr3D CAD Modeling & Training • Functional Prototypes • 3D Scanning & Reverse Engineering • FDM & MSLA 3D Printing / Additive Manufacturing • Electronics Enclosures & Integrated Assemblies • Mechanical Design & Custom Mechanisms • Manufacturing-Ready Files: STEP, STL, DXF • Design for Manufacturing • Technical Renderings & Presentations My projects have included consumer products, illuminated signs, industrial equipment, drone components, automotive accessories, custom electronics, tooling, and production-ready assemblies. With in-house 3D printing and scanning, I can prototype parts, check fitment, and refine designs throughout the process. This helps catch problems early, reduce development time, and create designs that are ready for the next step. Why work with me? ✅ Real-world manufacturing and fabrication experience ✅ Electronics, mechanical, and product development knowledge ✅ Hands-on prototyping, 3D scanning, and testing capability ✅ Fast communication and practical problem-solving ✅ Top-rated freelancer with a 100% Job Success Score If you need more than just CAD work and want someone who understands how products are actually built, I’d be happy to help bring your idea to life.
