I have worked in I.T for 29+ years, originally starting in software development, moving through database and reporting roles, and eventually ending up in the Business Intelligence and Data Warehouse area. I have held technical lead and management roles, as well as working as a solo developer, in companies ranging from 5 employees to international companies such as Deloitte, Vodafone and IAG. My area of focus is now everything data, from visualisation to SQL to data modelling to ingestion. My skillset is primarily focused on the Microsoft toolset, Power BI (including Report Builder), SQL Server, SSAS, SSAS and SSIS. Additionally with my background in software development I have years of experience in Visual Studio, git, CI / CD pipeline development.. Outside of Microsoft tools I have experience in Snowflake and dbt, and a decent exposure to AWS and Azure.
