I am a highly detailed and motivated self-starter with multiple entrepreneurial startups and successful exits over the past 20 years. Primarily I focused on the B2C eCommerce sector with over $127 million in gross retail sales in my own companies. I enjoy the challenge of taking hard and complex tasks/systems and breaking them down into manageable processes that we can monetize.
Over the past 20 years, I've learned how to build and monetize eCommerce stores by teaching myself how to do everything in-house. I have founded six companies selling everything from sport-supplements, nutraceuticals, loose-leaf tea, 3D printers, a monthly subscription box (16,800+ monthly members), and even an injection/ extrusion molding plastics company that we ended up selling to the University of California Irvine. I'm also an eCommerce business coach/ mentor at our local state college, Missouri State University (MSU), for both large and small companies looking to expand or move into the Springfield area.
Outside of the eCommerce side of things, I was an independent commercial developer in Bentonville, AR, for many years, and my wife was a realtor during that same time frame, so I do know the commercial real estate market very well from both the developer side and the end-users side of the sales funnel.
I currently manage an email database of over 11.8mm active contacts and over 2.5mm SMS contacts - using extensive automation, I’m able to leverage these assets for my clients into their biggest growth engine. I can set up automation campaigns in just about every email or SMS client (ActiveCampaign, Attentive, CloudTXT, Klaviyo, Constant Contact, MailChimp, etc.), and I'm no stranger to working with complex lists. Plus, I write ad copy that gets not just eyeballs on the product but action taken.
Using email, Instagram, Google Ads, Facebook, and Shopify, I've become proficient in scaling my own companies and helping many clients achieve their dreams. Across all my ShopifyPlus companies, I had an average conversion rate of 4% to 6%, so I am confident that regardless of the scope of work or the product sold, I can help you with your project.
As with any growing and expanding startup, I learned to become an expert in CRMs and database management - my favorite is Hubspot. However, I have used SalesForce and feel comfortable optimizing and setting up both and maximizing their effectiveness.
eCommerce optimization and organic SEO work is my specialty. Any company has so much potential for "found money"; minor tweaks we can make to your site, ad copy, item pages, and email automation marketing will add multiple percentage points to your bottom line.
