BIOGRAPHY Amir Durrani is currently working as an independent consultant. Throughout the 28 years of his career, he has gained extensive experience by leading roles in providing technical, commercial, and project management advice on numerous international projects. Additionally, he has managed projects in advanced technologies in LNG, GTL, Oil & Gas, NGL, Hydrogen, Ammonia, Refining, Chemicals, Helium, Refining, Methane emission and Petrochemical industries in the USA, the Middle East and APAC regions. Currently working as Director at Durraniz Consultants Inc. where he advises international clients on various subjects related to Oil and Gas, LNG, Gas Processing, Hydrogen, Ammonia, Petrochemicals, Refining and related industries. He worked for Saudi Aramco out of Global Project Management Office on one of the largest ($110 Billion) gas project in the region. Saudi Aramco is the largest oil producer in the world and one of the largest integrated oil/gas/chemicals companies. Amir worked as a Project Specialist managing variety of multi-billion dollar projects in hydrocarbon value chain. Previously he worked for Air Products & Chemicals Inc. as Principal Process Engineer on a mega ($8 Billion) Blue Hydrogen project. Air Products is a world-leading industrial gases company in operation for over 80 years. The Company provides essential industrial gases, related equipment and applications expertise to customers in oil and gas, refining, chemical, metals, electronics, manufacturing, and food and beverage. Air Products is also the global leader in the supply of LNG technology and equipment. The Company develops, engineers, builds, owns and operates some of the world's largest industrial gas projects, including gasification projects that sustainably convert abundant natural resources into syngas for the production of high-value power, fuels and chemicals; carbon capture projects; and world-scale low- and zero-carbon hydrogen projects supporting global transportation and the energy transition. Previously, he worked as a GTL Process Design Engineer with Infinium Energy which produces GTL (gas to liquids) fuel, SAF (sustainable aviation fuel), diesel, kerosine, naphtha, which is an sustainable fuel derived from natural gas and is considered as a novel technology. Prior to this, he worked as an LNG Process Engineer at Cheniere Energy, Inc. that provides clean, affordable energy around the world by manufacturing liquefied natural gas (LNG). In this role, Amir provided high level technical expertise, leadership, and technical advisory for plant process optimization of 6 LNG plants producing 27 MTPA of LNG. He has completed 90 landmark LNG projects that shaped the LNG landscape. Prior to this, he was a Process Engineering Consultant at QatarEnergy where his responsibilities included technical advice to operations team, facility design and plant process optimization of systems, energy optimization, process safety and feasibility studies. QatarEnergy is a one of the largest state-owned public oil and energy corporation that is responsible for all phases of the oil and gas industry in the State of Qatar. Amir is a certified Chartered Engineer (CEng) and a member of Engineering Council, UK. He has extensive experience in North America, APAC and Middle East in large oil & gas, LNG, NGL, GTL, refining and petrochemical industry. He is an expert in all phases of oil & gas process design, front end engineering, commissioning, start-up, plant process optimization, capital projects, project management, de-bottlenecking, plant process efficiency improvement and process engineering support to existing facilities. He is experienced in working environments where 'Incident Free', 'Process Safety' and "People Safety" have been of utmost priority. He has Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering from University of the Punjab & Bachelor's degree in Petroleum Engineering Technology from Southern Alberta Institute of Technology, Calgary - Canada. He has participated in many technical committees where he resolved long standing technical issues. His industry experience dates back to 1992 and he is regarded as technical guru in oil & gas, NGL, petrochemicals, GTL, Hydrogen, Ammonia and LNG plant operations.
