I am a broadcast journalist with a passion for work. I have worked in radio for almost three years and have completed many courses that have helped me to hone in on my skills and make myself the best broadcaster I can be. Communication is a huge part of my job, so it will be important for any projects on here too. Outside of work I am an avid and year-round sea swimmer and enjoy being outdoors in nature.

I’m Bronagh Loughlin - an award-winning journalist, freelance writer, editor, and content creator with nearly ten years of experience. My work is driven by a deep passion for mental health, sustainability, and education. I believe in the power of storytelling to create change and open conversations that matter. I regularly write for The Irish Times, where I specialise in personal, reflective mental health columns. One of these pieces was shortlisted for Headline’s Special Recognition Award, which honours individuals with lived experience of mental health who share their journey to help others. I’ve also been invited to speak about my work on RTÉ Radio, LMFM, Newstalk and KFM, diving deeper into the stories behind my writing. Since founding my freelance business in August 2020, I’ve collaborated with a wide range of organisations, including The Irish Times, The Useless Project, The Planet Calls, Business Spirit Platform, Tru., and ORH Marketing. I bring a journalist’s eye and creative strategy to everything I do - whether it’s long-form articles, SEO-optimised copy, social media content, or editorial consulting. I’m also certified in SEO, which allows me to create content that performs as well as it connects. In addition to writing, I have experience producing and editing podcasts. I co-produced and co-hosted the Different Perspectives podcast alongside my friend Ugne, where people from diverse backgrounds share their personal stories in an open and empathetic space. I also produced and edited What About Us - a podcast accompanying a live stage musical and movement that explores pressing generational issues such as climate change, conflict, displacement, and identity. Alongside my freelance work, I’ve gained valuable experience in public relations, social media management, and website copywriting. I hold a BA in Journalism (Level 7) and a BA in Communications and Media Production (Level 8) from Griffith College Dublin.
