Most of my work happens in the space between a client asking, “What’s happening?” and the delivery team trying to get the work out the door. I make that space calmer. At GEM Solutions, I was the main point of contact across up to 15 active client accounts. I handled client questions, onboarded new customers, managed escalations, coordinated with designers and developers, tracked deadlines, reviewed work before delivery, and made sure open issues were followed through rather than quietly forgotten. I also built much of the system behind that work. The agency was relying heavily on WhatsApp messages, verbal handovers, and scattered information, so I built its ClickUp workspace from scratch. That included project templates, custom statuses, task ownership, deadlines, intake forms, milestone tracking, reminders, and QA workflows. I wrote 14 practical SOPs covering onboarding, client communication, CRM workflows, QA, invoicing, and handover. I also introduced a clearer bug-reporting process using reproduction steps, screenshots, priorities, and assigned owners. This helped reduce average issue-resolution time from around five days to under two, while proactive client updates reduced chasing messages by roughly 60%. More recently, I supported a short workflow project with Tailwind.ai, translating onboarding and CRM requirements into an Asana build containing 21 main cards and 136 subtasks. The work involved mapping dependencies, surfacing missing decisions, and turning a broad process into something the team could actually follow. Before that, I ran my own media studio for six years. Every client relationship was my responsibility from the first conversation through delivery and ongoing support. I handled proposals, contracts, timelines, feedback, invoices, contractors, technical issues, and the occasional difficult conversation nobody particularly wanted to have. I can help with: Project coordination, timelines, risks, and follow-ups Client onboarding and ongoing communication Customer support, escalations, and issue ownership ClickUp and Asana workspace organisation CRM administration in Zoho One, HubSpot, and Salesforce QA testing, bug tracking, and delivery checks SOPs, process documentation, and internal knowledge bases Remote team, developer, designer, and freelancer coordination Inbox management, meeting notes, and action tracking Website, CMS, form, and browser troubleshooting My background in teaching also gave me something that translates surprisingly well into client work: patience. I know how to explain unfamiliar information clearly, adjust to different communication styles, and stay calm when someone is frustrated or confused. I work well with minimal supervision, shifting priorities, and businesses where the documentation is still being built. I do not need everything to be perfectly organised before I begin. Organising it is often the reason I am there. If you need someone who can keep clients confident, keep the team moving, and improve the system while doing the work, that is where I fit best.

Writing is my passion, English is my game. I live to travel, and I travel to live! Refreshing my being daily, reaching for joy from all walks of the earth — whether it be the 'Chi Oi's' working blissfully in the rice fields of Northern Vietnam, or the sun dancing off the Mediterranean Sea in Cadiz, Spain... I've been in the travel writing game since 2018, with hundreds of articles and works published online, including major travel publications. Highly detail-oriented? You bet! I love to lend my unique voice (doused in passion) to my writing — no AI here, folks! However, my tone is totally adaptable, depending on the House Style. I'm comfy writing in both British and/or American English. Research is also somewhat of a second love of mine; I guess there's a reason I studied Journalism. I'm extremely deadline-driven and possess excellent grammatical skills. And yes, I am a native English speaker. Not to toot my own horn, but I'm often praised for my speedy writing/deliverables and work ethic. Some may say I'm a "workaholic" — I beg to differ; I just dub it as being in love with what I do. Apart from the travel writing, I work for a design and lifestyle publication. Call me a Digital Nomad, with a strong online presence to match. My workbelt includes: • Long-listicle type content/blogs • Short, punchy description writing • eBooks • Content curation • Research • Copywriting • Fictional creative novel writing • Travel itineraries • Refreshing existing work on websites from the backend side/WordPress • Proofreading • Editing (and working closely with other teams of editors, writers, clients, etc.) ~ A great personal achievement was graduating Cum Laude in my final university year. ~ Touching briefly on who "Shan" is as a person (yes, I just did refer to myself in third-person): ~A super creative force; my spare time is filled with drawing, painting, or learning Italian. ~As much of a cliché as it is, YES, I am a foodie. I'm the one in the friends school hunting down the latest it-spots to wine and dine. ~I'm an aesthetically-pleasing Libra, and love getting lost in the world of fashion, design and art, conjuring up my dream aspirational products, or future coffee book I WILL one day compile. ~Travel-obsessed, my current destination count is sitting at 92 global cities/towns/villages worldwide. ~I wear my heart on my sleeve: what you see is what you get.

Hi, I'm Kayley. There are plenty of people who can manage an inbox, update a CRM, engage with a social media audience, support customers, coordinate moving parts, or work through a task list. What I bring is ownership. When I take on a role, I don't just complete the work assigned to me. I become genuinely invested in the business, the brand, the team, and the people we serve. I want to understand how everything works, where operational workflows could work better, and what I can take off your plate. With over 6 years of experience across customer success, community engagement, social media, client communication, sales, executive support, and day-to-day business operations, I've naturally become the go-to person in the businesses I support. I'm someone who notices what needs attention, builds genuine relationships, identifies and solves bottlenecks before they grow, and keeps complex project timelines moving without needing to be constantly managed. I hold an Honours Degree in Psychology and Communications, and people have always been at the heart of the work I do. I genuinely love working with people. Whether I'm engaging with an audience on social media, building relationships within an online community, supporting a customer, communicating with leads, assisting a team, or coordinating cross-functional moving parts behind the scenes, I care about how people experience the business I'm representing. To me, a customer isn't a ticket to close, a follower isn't just a number, a lead isn't simply a sale, and a community member isn't just another name on a screen. There are real people behind all of it. I'm highly resourceful, organized, and comfortable working autonomously. If I don't know something, I'll learn it. If I spot an operational inefficiency, I'll look for a better way. If something is falling through the cracks, I'll pick it up. One of my greatest strengths is my ability to manage a lot of moving parts without losing the human element. I currently act as the central coordinator for multiple completely different professional roles, each with its own priorities, clients, audiences, deadlines, systems, and expectations. This has made me incredibly adaptable and taught me how to manage competing project life cycles, switching between relationship building, creative work, customer support, sales, and behind-the-scenes organization while maintaining a high standard across all of them. But above everything else, I care deeply about the roles I take on. I'm not looking to simply clock hours and complete tasks. I want to become someone you trust, someone who understands your business and your people well enough that you can hand over entire operational segments and know they are taken care of. If you're looking for someone who combines customer success, social media and community engagement, relationship building, strategic organization, initiative, and genuine care for people, I'd love to learn more about your business and where I can make a difference.
