A book can be grammatically perfect and still feel unfinished. Sometimes the problem is not the sentence. It is the idea behind the sentence. A chapter repeats instead of progressing. A powerful argument loses its impact because the transition is weak. A philosophical concept is explained correctly but never made meaningful to the reader. A conclusion summarizes the book when it should leave the reader thinking about it long after the final page. That is the kind of work I love.
