Top Rated Plus creative writer with an academic background, over 100 completed projects, and a 100% Job Success Score I help businesses and individuals establish authority as subject matter experts in self-development, business, leadership, psychology, history, theology, language learning, book reviewing and analysis, and several other areas, including artificial intelligence and LLMs (to learn more about my experience with GenAI, please see my specialized profile - "AI Chatbot Development"). I have created numerous book summaries and analyses, history books and articles, language learning blogs, poetry and literature learning guides, self-development workbooks based on famous non-fiction titles, listicles, tutorials, and SEO articles on a plethora of topics from humanities to tech. A note on generative AI: I love AI, but I don't use it to write my articles. I train it. Unlike most writers who either felt threatened by the emergence of generative AI or started submitting ChatGPT-generated pieces as their own, I saw this evolution as an opportunity to use my skills in a new way. I've been working on some of the hottest generative AI projects for the last two years as a Data Linguist/Annotator and AI Chatbot Trainer. I'm thrilled at the potential of large language models, although I'm aware of their limitations more than most people are. If you're still wondering why you should (or shouldn't) work with me, here are some things that may help you decide - both pros and cons. Pros: - Extensive education and a diverse set of interests ranging from ancient history and religion to artificial intelligence language models - Exceptional close reading skills (essential to the research part of every serious writing project) - High capability of writing in various styles - from social media write-ups to academic essays - copywriting included - Experience in completing both super-concise and large, comprehensive pieces (from book blurbs and ads to full-length non-fiction books) - I know you're equally interested in SERPs and capturing the attention of your audience. That's exactly why my approach combines in-depth research, SEO optimization, and an understanding of human psychology to capture the human hearts and search engine crawlers simultaneously. Cons: - I'm a bit picky when it comes to the subject matter - there are some topics that I just won't tackle (nothing to worry about if I applied to a job that you posted - I had obviously read the description and liked it) - I don't have many samples to show. I take the rules of ghostwriting seriously, and I won't show you the work I did for someone else. Likewise, I won't give anyone access to the work I completed for you. When it comes to articles with bylines, please see my articles on the LiveXP blog, my Medium publication "Booksist", or my Christian blog called Christian Write-Ups on WordPress. (Btw. I've been planning to start a blog on AI, but work keeps getting in the way.) Have more questions or want to hire me? Click "Invite to Job" and let me know what you need. I look forward to your messages!

I'm a Jill of all trades in the literary world, with years of experience both writing and editing at the literary agency where I work. I'd love to talk with you about editing your novel. Read the testimonials below and peruse the selected published works in my portfolio. Clients have found me to be a good communicator and responsible with deadlines. Others have said I have a sharp eye, and a kind yet blunt critique style. I assure you, I want your project to be the best it can be, and I'll instinctively know the work that needs to be done to get it there. I'm ready to embrace your project as my own, so let's get to work! ***Kindly read this clarification before sending an invite: I don't edit works created either partially or in full by AI, and I do not participate in ghostwriting circles. Also, I don't write query letters, rather, I critique and improve letters that are already written by a book's author. Thanks so much!*** I Prefer: - Fixed price to hourly - Clear expectations - Kindness, always. No matter what needs to be said. - Working on either first 3 chapters (up to 8,000 words), first half (up to 40,000 words), or whole manuscripts (up to 90,000 words). You will get: - Structural/Developmental edits; these are big picture edits. (Random examples: This could be better in a different spot, maybe paragraph 4 of chapter 5 where you introduce this topic. Have you thought about making Mary older to fit her independent lifestyle? Why is Stephan so worried about the cleanliness of the apartment, if in chapter one you said he hired a cleaning lady? I'm wondering if chapter seven can be tightened and merged with six, because it's lagging and I worry readers will lose interest) - Line edits; these occur when a certain line/word is throwing off the story. (Random examples: This sentence is clunky because the subject of the sentence comes after all those other objects and adjectives. Your use of the word Coptic may not be correct since technically these worshipers would be Russian orthodox. Double-check the accuracy of your claim that black widow spiders can kill. Consider editing out the word "felt" from this whole chapter because it weakens the text.) - Grammar/Punct correction; This is like proofreading, but it's best to perform a separate final proofread once you're completely done with all edits. (Examples: spelling of words, word usage, grammar correction, punctuation correction) Can't wait to talk to you about your needs!

Think of me as a Content Whisperer. I'm a gifted storyteller, dedicated to helping clients tell theirs. I say this unabashedly and with complete confidence. The proof, of course, is the words. Today, finding the right words is more important than ever, and I strive to under-promise but over-deliver. The name of my company says it all: words-are-my-biz And my philosophy is simple: The right words sell. The wrong words leave sales on the table. WHO I AM. I’m a professional writer living in Portland, Oregon with a lifelong passion for the power of the written word. I’ve written everything from novels to blogs, sales collateral to web content, ad copy to letters, business proposals to sales plans and training manuals. Not to mention a few thousand papers getting my four kids through high school and college. I love what I do. I approach every job intent on finding a happy ending and we aren't finished until we get there. HOW I GOT HERE. I bring more than thirty years of sales and marketing business management experience to every project, and by this I’m talking about major corporations to mid-size companies and start-ups, working in fields including software, real estate, law, publishing, advertising and services. I confess to having a particular fondness for high degree-of-difficulty challenges. HOW I DO WHAT I DO. Asking questions, lots of them, and listening and considering what I hear, followed by collaborative brainstorming to develop a plan we both embrace with confidence and enthusiasm. As you seek synergy within your organization, I seek it with my clients. It pays huge dividends. The common thread is in finding the way to communicate more effectively, internally and externally, with staff, customers and prospects. The common challenge is in identifying the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and unique competitive factors confronting each client. TO LEARN MORE ABOUT ME. Read what my clients have to say about their experience working with me and my pledge to arrive at a happy ending, every time with every assignment. There are hundreds of reviews from clients that have become friends in virtually every industry and over thirty countries around the world. I look forward to hearing from you but know that I've made my practice not to take on work without conversation to first ensure a mutual fit. It's the path to happy, successful ending. Until then, wishing you good health and great success. andrew

★★★★★ "Wonderful to work with! Extremely responsive and willing to make things perfect!" As a story consultant, film school mentor, and film editor for short and feature documentaries, I come in at various stages of development to provide high-level guidance on editorial/creative input, producing issues, and fundraising. I will help elevate your narrative into a cohesive, engaging, socially relevant, festival-worthy film. Whether you only need me for one hour to discuss the project's general direction or would like to engage me throughout the film's development as a Consulting Producer, my own low-to-no-budget filmmaking background means I have been through all stages and aspects of production, while never losing sight of the big picture. I can help you uncover the visual and narrative structure, assist with micro-pacing and macro-pacing through editing, work in scenes and sections and cut out the fluff to make the heart of what you want to convey more accessible. Some things I typically help with: - One-on-one consultations ...to ensure the coherence of the shooting plan in order to get the best material and save money ...in production to review footage and talk about possible additional shoots ...in post-production to get an outside creative sounding board about the film's rough cut ...to review your film trailer - Shaping pitch decks for investors, crew, and other stakeholders - Assisting with film grant and film development proposals -(Re)writing treatments, synopses and loglines or coaching you to do it by yourself - Discovering the true meaning of your story, whether in pre-production or by - Discussing visual and narrative themes, symbols and motifs of your story - Editing your film I have worked on incredible multi-million film projects such as 'Ronaldinho: The Happiest Man in the World', now airing on FIFA+. My own feature documentaries "My Human Self" (2017) and "Nowhere to Go" (2022) premiered at one of the top 10 documentary film festivals worldwide, Thessaloniki. The former won awards in Greece, Turkey, and the UK. My latest fiction short film also toured European festivals such as Raindance and aired on national TV. My client Janyl Jusupjan's latest project has been selected for EsoDoc at Bonzano and CIRCLE Women Doc Accelerator in Novi Sad for development. I am a postgraduate mentor at De Montfort University, where I provide industry, academic and technical support to students within the MA and BA Film programmes. There, I also teach a Project Skills Lab called "Making the No-Budget Documentary". I have a BA (Hons) in Social Studies: Social Policy, an MSc in Business Management, and an MA (distinction) in Film. I speak native-level English, German and Greek, conversational Spanish, and basic French. I’m primarily interested in character-driven Narrative and Documentary Films, but I often also help content creators of Vlogs or Online Courses that teach something valuable like music, languages, fitness, well-being, and knowledge. I look forward to hearing from you about your documentary and non-fiction project!

I am a writer with experience in both fiction and non-fiction. In fiction the genres I write in are romance (historical and contemporary), bildungsroman (coming of age/growth of character), science fiction and supernatural. In non-fiction I write full length books on history, biography and memoirs. On the work front, I believe there are 2 important things that make it pleasurable for the client and the service provider: one, keeping communication clear and consistent and two, delivering on time.

Having served as a professional editor and writer for more than ten years now, working with both fiction and nonfiction, my passion revolves around helping authors and publishers find the full potential of their manuscripts. I have an excellent eye for detail, and with my extended background as a writer and teacher, I can be depended upon to offer professional guidance at every turn, eliminate errors and inconsistencies, and meet all deadlines. By turns, I work as a writing coach, editor, and ghostwriter, matching my talents to my clients' needs. In each of these roles, I only take on projects that suit my skills--so, if you ask me to edit or write in a genre where I have no experience, I'll be the first to tell you I'm not your ideal fit. But, when I do take on a project, you can be sure that it will become a top priority and receive the attention and skill it deserves. I work with both indie authors and publishers, and about 90% of my workload comes in the form of novels, whether that means I'm offering ghostwriting, developmental editing, line editing, copy-editing, or combined line/copy-edits. I also do work on blurbs, synopses, and queries, but only for works that I've edited. When it comes to nonfiction, I'm got a varied background that crosses a variety of disciplines and types of writing. I've edited and copy-edited a number of dissertations and academic articles within the humanities and sciences, and I've developed a close familiarity with details of grammar and citation styles (as I've worked as both a freelance copy-editor and as the assistant director of a university-level writing center). Additionally, I've served as the editor of a major university's literary journal for four years, copy-editing creative writing and narrative nonfiction; it was this position that led me into working on what the majority of my time goes to now, which is full-length novels. My work as an editor for a university led naturally into my working as a developmental and content editor--a position I fell naturally into because of my experience and my passion for literature & teaching. Regarding editing: I've been freelancing on a full-time basis since August of 2014, and I've specialized in editing narrative nonfiction, memoir, and novellas & novels of various genres (including but not limited to: science fiction, fantasy, suspense, mystery, romance, paranormal romance, literary fiction, and horror). I have experience with MG, YA, and adult material, and I love keeping an eclectic calendar so that I always have a fresh eye for each new manuscript. In terms of writing, I hire out as a fixer just as often as a writer--this means that I work through a complete novel, elevating the writing and 'fixing' issues that come up in relation to the story, character, pacing, genre, etc. Essentially, hiring me as a 'fixer' means that you've got a complete draft, and it's in decent shape, but you know it needs work and want it to reach the next level without your being directly involved in the revision. When it comes to nonfiction, I take on very few fixing and ghostwriting positions, and generally only consider projects where an author has already developed a fair amount of content that I can work from in terms of content, voice, and style. My work in ghostwriting fiction has been focused around paranormals, suspense, romance, horror, SFF, and nonfiction, and I only hire out as a ghostwriter for adult work (vs MG and YA). As a published writer and a freelancer, I've accumulated numerous experiences which translate to my being a more well-rounded editor and writer. I have a particular interest in speculative, literary, and scientific writings, as well as in all manuscripts related to socio-political concerns, and I read widely in both fiction and nonfiction, which allows me a real familiarity with various types of texts and professional expectations from separate academic and professional communities. I have eclectic interests and passions, so I'm working to build a varied portfolio and form lasting working relationships with individuals and companies in need of strong editors and writers. Please don't hesitate to contact me if you think I might be a good fit for your project, and know I'm glad to answer any questions along the way.
