The first thing you should know about me is that I love what I do! What do I do? "Audio Engineer" seems to be the accepted industry term, but I like to think of myself as more of an artist, like Bob Ross, except with sound instead of paint. At the Academy of Sound Engineering I excelled at the creative work such as sound design and music production. After graduating I began working as a dubbing technician where I learned the art of lip sync. During that time I grew to love the process of working with vocal talent, extracting the best possible performance out of them was exciting and never dull. I was later promoted to sound mixer. I must've mixed over 500 hours of dialogue at that company, a skill that I am very grateful to have learned! I later moved on in search of greater opportunities, settling, for a while, at a well known post production house in Johannesburg. The type of work I did there did wonders for my creativity, having sourced, placed and edited music for a variety of popular shows on South African television networks. Audio final mix, sound design and dialogue editing was also part of my daily routine. I learned some truly valuable lessons at that company, but the best was yet to come! My next step was more of a leap. I managed to land some contract work at South Africa's biggest and best broadcaster, Multichoice. I had a lot to prove and so I was initially put to work on countless lower budget films and series. I worked tirelessly and certainly gained some valuable experience in audio restoration, where noise reduction software became second nature to me. My hard work paid off and I was eventually given the opportunity to do Final mix for some of SA's top shows such as: Survivor SA season 2, Island of secrets The Bachelor SA, season 1 Wedding Bashers, season 2 and The Real Housewives of Johannesburg, season 1 At the moment I stay in Cape Town and work for a brand new post production company called Dreambox studios where I am an integral part of operations. We've recently partnered with a well know post production house in Denmark which I visited in February (2020) to receive further training from some of the world's finest audio specialists. My sound design skills have since flourished, having been tasked to do the sound design for "Talking Tom", a popular and energetic children's animation series. To conclude: Whether its an hour long, high energy animation that requires the touch of a skilled Sound designer, a short video that needs to be well balanced for YouTube, a series that needs music or a dull Voice over that needs a bit of colour, I'M YOUR MAN!

Besides this I've always had a tendency to talk to myself and make funny noises while driving. I've also been involved in leading roles in college theatre performances. So far I have had the pleasure of doing a range of voiceover jobs from explainer videos to audiobooks to character work and have thoroughly enjoyed it all.
