I am looking for a developer or team to create a relatively simple texting app. I need a Sr. developer who can work well with a UI designer (who I've already locked down) and is quite familiar with best practices. I will take quotes for PhoneGap and/or iOS and Android. I have not decided which direction to go yet. I need someone who works in (1) Agile, including managing user stories online, (2) is comfortable with unit tests, and (3) is all-around passionate about best practices. When you respond to this post, please answer the following so I can get to know your approach: (1) How long have you (your team) been programming? (2) What would you consider a senior level developer, and why do you fit that description? (3) How do you implement Agile? What online tools do you use? (4) Are you familiar with weighting Agile user stories? (5) Are you comfortable writing unit tests? (6) Are you passionate about programming best practices? What best practices are important to you? (7) Have you worked along side a designer before? How does working with a designer change your development approach? (8) How do you normally estimate (a) time and (b) cost for a development project? Many thanks to all who take the time to respond.

Candidate: Experience in database design. The successful candidate will be given access to an inventory management software to analyse and from there create the following: 1st - Database design is connected with application design. The requirements and the collection analysis phase produce both data requirements and functional requirements. The data requirements are used as a source of database design. The data requirements should be specified in as detailed and complete form as possible. 2nd - Conceptual Design Once all the requirements have been collected and analyzed, the next step is to create a conceptual shema for the database, using a high level conceptual data model. This phase is called conceptual design. The result of this phase is an Entity-Relationship (ER) diagram or UML class diagram. It is a high-level data model of the specific application area. It describes how different entities (objects, items) are related to each other 3rd - Logical Design The result of the logical design phase (or data model mapping phase) is a set of relation shcemas. The ER diagram or class diagram is the basis for these relation schemas. 4th - Normalization Normalization is the last part of the logical design. The goal of normalization is to eliminate redundancy and potential update anomalies. Redundancy means that the same data is saved more than once in a database. Update anomaly is a consequence of redundancy. If a piece of data is saved in more than one place, the same data must be updated in more than one place. Designs Conceptual, Logical and Physical data models for scalability/flexibility/Extensibility. Performs Data analysis/Profiling to evaluate data and underlying data structures. Documents and publishes the data dictionaries/Metadata, data models to ensure their correct implementation Competencies: Communication Proficiency. Technical Capacity. Time Management.

We need someone with experience in creating custom widgets especially for 'Agile CRM'. We need you to create a widget that creates a function not presently built in to Agile CRM. We use Agile CRM 'Company' records to store details of schools, including the age group of the students in that school. We then use the 'Contact' records to store the names and email addresses of all teachers that we know at that school. We need the widget you develop to automatically tag new and contacts of the school with an age group tag that matches the school age group info in the company/school record. We are looking for a technical co-founder to join our effort in changing the online accounting software landscape by finally creating a software that does what it can do and takes away all accounting knowledge required by the user so that the masses can finally cut down on unnecessary accounting costs. We thought about he entire accounting process in reverse and believe that with our approach anybody can do it. The team so far consists of a software savvy go gether born, raised and currently based out of the Bay Area and focused mainly on the design and marketing and a more accounting savvy CPA, born and raised in the Netherlands that is currently located out of Basel. Both have multiple years of experience working for a CPA and accounting firm in the San Francisco Bay Area and have found that the cloud accounting software is still missing a product for the twentieth century that will help out all small businesses in the USA and the world by cutting down their accounting bill. The design is in a far reached stadium and the functionality is very well reflected in the design. We are now at a point where we need a third and technical pillar to help us bring this product to live. If you are interested in finding out more and potentially joining us. Please shoot us a short intro with your resume. Please tell us as well about your previous software development experience and skill set.

The person that is selected will have to create some PPT slides for the questions I have listed below (I'll provide more details once you apply) and will have to deliver a 2-2.5 hour webex session for me where I'll ask specific questions and expect explanations with examples. Its a maximum of 3-4 hours work total including the webex session for someone who is experienced with Agile The things I would have questions are as follows 1) How do you create user stories for non functional requirements. Show with examples 2) How do you create user stories for data base requirements? Show with examples 3) Where do things like entitlements, system error messages, automated email, business rules for process flow, math for report generation fit into Agile? How do you convert those into user stories? 4) How do you handle system enhancement requests in Agile? Is it as new user stories or existing stories being modified 5) Are there detailed conceptual and logical data models in Agile? If not then how does a developer get the data right? 6) How detailed are the wireframes in Agile? If they are not detailed enough then is all the latitude given to a developer? 7) What does one do in cases of data driven projects, or infrastructure projects or legacy modernization projects or tech refresh projects in Agile? How do you have user stories in these areas? 8) How does one do user stories in reporting and infographics projects? 9) what happens when you realize in middle of a sprint that you cannot deliver? Do you call off a sprint or do you deliver nevertheless? Give detailed examples 10) How exactly is testing planned and executed in Agile? Without adequate test documentation how do you populate test cases into ALM and if it cannot be in a tool like ALM how do you ensure adequate coverage? 11) What all are the things that you should cover in iteration 0? how long does iteration 0 typically last? 12) How do you decide what is a minimum viable product? What if the product is an all or nothing like regulatory applications where I cannot have half regulation fulfilled? 13) How do you decide when an implementation is over and when the project is in BAU mode in Agile projects? Where does project end and enhancement request start?
