I received my B.S from the SUNY at Potsdam in Computer Science graduating Magna Cum Laude and my Master’s Degree in Computer Science from Georgia Institute of Technology (“Georgia Tech”). I attended for a Ph.D in Computer Science from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (“RPI”). My most recent position was a tutor/teacher at Omega Learning Center and TutorDoctor teaching students from 3rd grade to college students. I also have been a teacher in the New York Mid-Hudson Valley school districts teaching all age groups from 2nd grade to high school students. In college I was a teacher assistant in my undergraduate and graduate studies. During my time in the corporate world I taught training classes. I am a published author for publisher Prentice Hall entitled “Unix Awk and Sed Programmer's Interactive Workbook”. I have taken certification classes in teaching and ESL. I am also a member of the National Tutoring Association, Association for the Coaching and Tutoring profession and American Tutoring Association
I teach Math, Science, Business, Economics, Humanities, Social Science, and Computer Science. Math subjects include Calculus, Statistics, Linear Algebra, and Discrete Math. Science includes all sciences. I have taught numerous students ACT/SAT prep and GRE testing.
While possessing a good understanding of the subject matter is a given for teaching it goes beyond just knowledge of subject matter. It requires interacting with parent, student and teacher so each feels the experience is positive and productive. Passion to see the transformation of seeing an individual struggle with material and then conquering it. Motivating and making material interesting when the student is unmotivated. Capable of meeting all the challenges and dynamics that teacher and student encounter to encourage them to master the material. In addition, teaching them tips and techniques that can help them progress given whether they are good at memorizing, need visual clues, or learn by example.
Be energetic and enthusiastic. It rubs off with the student. With the right balance of energy and enthusiasm the student will be more inclined to feed off it. Clear goals must be established with a time frame associated with it so everyone can determine if the tutoring is working and progress is being met.
Quickly identify the student’s learning style and adapt the course material to their learning style overcoming mental blocks that occur in science and math. Communication, communication, communication cannot be stressed enough. Always be positive and non-authoritative during the course of the lessons.
Mathematics is often so confusing and so boring, but it doesn't have to be that way! Math is not some mysterious subject that only a few can comprehend. As with any discipline, practice leads to proficiency, and that practice needs to be guided by an expert. No one gains mastery in any subject without guidance.
The problem for many people is that they were only told what to do, but never told why to do it. For others, they were never presented with an easy-to-follow step-by-step process for solving problems.
Any educational problem can be fixed, no matter how hard it sounds. There is hope. Hope not for hope sake but with a competent, experienced and skilled tutor who has the experience and training to identify all situations that occur during teaching and using trained and proven techniques to see the light at the end of the tunnel

UC Berkeley CS grad. 30+ years building systems at Yahoo and Splunk as a principal software engineer. Now I am semi-retired and I help non-technical folks ship real AI-powered web and mobile apps with Claude Code.
Are you being asked to "just use Claude Code" at work but don't know where to start? I've helped 100+ professionals do exactly that:
- Finance directors automating monthly reporting (saving 15+ hours/week)
- Product managers building customer feedback analyzers without engineering support
- Operations leaders eliminating manual data reconciliation
- Entrepreneurs launching MVPs without hiring developers
Average ROI: 10x the tutoring investment in the first month.
What I offer:
- Claude Code tutoring for non-technical professionals: entrepreneurs, PMs, finance teams, and small business owners
- Corporate team training (3-person groups, enterprise packages for 6+)
- Hands-on instruction building and shipping real mobile apps (iOS & Android), automating workflows, extracting data, and connecting APIs
- 5.0 rating across 137 reviews with 500+ hours of tutoring on
Here is my workflow and I can teach
1) I heavily use 1-2 prebuilt skills such as compound engineering skills (google it) for their subagent planning and workers
2) I also build up my custom skills files as I discover that I need custom skills such as automated testing, taking screenshots of my for the app store, securing my api keys, debugging production logs.. etc
3) My daily work flow is to heavily rely on a plan, work and verify workflow using github issues, github pull requests and github actions to get to 95% certainty before any pull requests are merged
4) I use the Chrome plugin for web based testing and drive it via claude code for automated testing, I use Playwright and Chrome Dev tools for UI automation. For ios and Android, I rely on the simulators and have claude code drive testing and debugging
5) I also install as many cli tools (not really heavy MCP) for most of development (gh, gcloud, aws cli)
6) I also put claude on Slack, Github, Mobile try multi task when I'm not at my desk (Tailscale for network access if I need to ssh)
7) While I sometimes do code review, I often put AI reviewers and automating test to build up trust, human reviewers will really slow down the system.
8) I also rely on automated preview environments for quick human verification and AI automation
My background:
- Senior Principal Engineer at Yahoo (1999–2016): built the #1 news website in the world
- Director of Engineering at Splunk (2020–2023): trained over 1000 engineers
- Active open source contributor to AntennaPod (Java/Android)
- Pursuing MA in Education at SF State — I take teaching seriously, not just coding
My teaching style is hands-on and project-based. Every session, you build something real. I work on YOUR projects, not generic tutorials, and provide email support between sessions.
Whether you're a complete beginner or an experienced professional, I'll help you ship faster and build smarter.

I have over 10 years of experience in Unity. I have developed 20 games so far ranging from turn based to online strategy with match making. I am experienced with Unity's event flow and have a firm grasp of the Structures and Idioms needed in Game Development. My expertise lies in multiplayer games with simple rules that yield complex interactions between users. It doesn't take me long to have a working prototype and my projects are mostly designed to work with mobile and various account systems like Steam, IOS and Google-Play. My recent project is a game called Chess Cubed which will be out on Steam and Android and IOS soon. The game was completed in 6 weeks and offers innovative game-play. This is blazing fast compared to other 3D chess variants that typically estimate 6-8 months of development time and leaves a lot more room for visual polish and Q&A. What more can I say?
