Profile Overview
Most founders don't stall from lack of vision — they stall because nobody built the operating system underneath it. That's the gap I close.
I'm Scott Adams, a Fractional COO and Chief of Staff working with founders and healthcare/wellness leadership teams who need someone to convert strategy into an operation that runs without them in every room. I install the systems — KPI tracking, cross-functional accountability, EOS and ExO operating frameworks — that let you spend your time on product and growth instead of firefighting.
How I Work
I run engagements inside the EOS (Entrepreneurial Operating System) and ExO (Exponential Organizations) frameworks — adapted to where your business actually is, across four areas:
Vision & Alignment — Turning your strategic plan into a scorecard the whole team can execute against.
Team & Accountability — Installing clear ownership so growth doesn't depend on you catching every dropped ball.
Systems & Process — Building right-sized workflows, from project management to client onboarding, so nothing falls through the cracks.
Investor-Ready Operations — Clean metrics, sound financial controls, and infrastructure that holds up under diligence.
Core Services
Fractional COO / Chief of Staff — hands-on operational leadership and executive integration
Strategic Growth & Consulting — market entry, scaling, and turnaround management
Operations & Business Process — process design, automation, continuous improvement
Project Management — capital projects, product launches, strategic partnerships
Case Studies
1. De Novo Clinic Expansion — QualDerm Partners (150+ clinics, 17 states)
Context: A dermatology MSO needed a repeatable framework to launch multiple new clinics in parallel instead of one at a time.
My Role: Built the operational playbook for clinic launches — site evaluation through 90 days post-opening — standardizing workflows across clinical and administrative teams.
Result: Replaced one-off market evaluation with a repeatable, data-driven process, giving leadership the infrastructure to launch clinics in parallel rather than sequentially.
2. Scaling 6 to 300+ Employees — EXOS
Context: A human-performance company needed the operational backbone to support explosive growth.
My Role: Architected the company's first scalable hiring, training, and service-delivery systems.
Result: Scaled from 6 to 300+ employees in 18 months, becoming the wellness partner of record for Google, Intel, Adidas, Tesla, and the NFL Players Association.
3. New Division Launch — Mayo Clinic
Context: A leading healthcare system wanted to enter a new specialty market — effectively an internal startup launch inside a large enterprise.
My Role: Led the division from strategy through execution: team-building, partnerships, and operational infrastructure.
Result: Generated $25M in profit against a projected loss and hit 98th-percentile patient and staff satisfaction.
4. Bankruptcy-to-Profit Turnaround — Four Company Retail Group
Context: A four-company retail group was in active bankruptcy, with no unified operating model across its brick-and-mortar, e-commerce, B2B, and B2C lines.
My Role: Ran full operational triage — pricing strategy, vendor terms, financial controls, and team realignment.
Result: Quadrupled net profits and improved operational efficiency 40%, returning the group to multi-million-dollar profitability within 18 months.

Most businesses don’t have a strategy problem.
They have an execution problem.
That’s where I come in.
I work directly with founders and leadership teams to bring clarity, structure, and momentum to businesses that are:
Stuck in chaos or constant firefighting
Scaling without the systems to support it
Losing revenue due to operational gaps
Overwhelmed with tools, teams, or disconnected processes
I don’t just “manage projects.”
I step in as a Fractional COO / Executive Operator to:
Identify what’s actually broken (fast)
Align people, systems, and priorities
Install operational frameworks that drive results
Ensure execution actually happens
What I Do Best
Operational Strategy + Execution
Turn scattered ideas into clear, executable plans
Build 30-60-90 day roadmaps that actually get followed
System & Process Design
Clean up messy tech stacks (CRM, automation, workflows)
Build systems that reduce manual work and errors
Project & Team Leadership
Lead cross-functional teams without adding overhead
Hold teams accountable without creating friction
Revenue & Growth Operations
Identify where money is being lost
Improve conversion, follow-up, and client experience
AI + Automation (Practical, Not Hype)
Help businesses apply AI in ways that save time and increase output
No fluff—only what actually works in real operations
Who I Work With
I’m best suited for:
Founder-led businesses
Companies doing $1M–$20M+
Teams that need structure, not theory
Leaders who are serious about results
Not a fit for:
Early-stage idea phase startups
DIY or low-budget task management
How I Work
I move fast and get to the root of problems quickly
I communicate clearly and directly
I focus on outcomes—not activity
If you’re looking for someone to just “take tasks,” I’m not the right fit.
If you need someone to bring order, clarity, and execution to your business, we should talk.
