Earlier in July, 2024, I began work as a part-time Analyst at Ampicap, a hedge fund in England. This firm started Quantfluence, which includes Jim Simons of Renaissance Capital, as well as Cathie Wood and Martin Coward among its associates. Starting in May, 2021, I began work as an Asset Manager for a retired Partner from a leading law firm in Chicago, where I still work as a consultant. During the summer of 2020, I began work as a portfolio manager and Consultant for a $500,000.00 equities portfolio held by an oil executive residing in Texas. During this time, I grew our portfolio in excess of 9% per month. I have also passed the TopStepTrader challenge (futures day trading) in Chicago five times. The folks at TopStepTrading have agreed to verify this. Since November, 2022, I have been working part-time as an Analyst for Humphreys Capital, among other firms. I am a dual Irish/American citizen, so I have no need for working papers. From October of 2019 to September, 2020, I was working as a research report writer for Aquamarine Capital, a hedge fund in Zurich. Recently, I wrote an ebook about real estate crowdfunding. I studied Economics at the University of Chicago, where I earned my degree in European Languages. I have six years’ experience at the CBOT and the CME as a Floor Trader, Floor Broker, Options Floor Trader, Upstairs Trader, Trade Analyst, and back office Trade Checker in the Financial, Currency, grain, interest rate, stock index futures and options markets.ETF and options markets. I have a solid active understanding of these markets. I was also a top staff writer at IndexFunds.com, arguably the number one source for information on Indexing and ETFs. This company is now called "IndexUniverse.” Also: • I co-authored the educational portion of the Charles Schwab website, authoring the courses "Asset Allocation" and "Selecting a Mutual Fund." Before my ventures into the markets, I taught foreign languages for four years at Brown University and Phillips Academy, Andover; I also lectured in European history at Brown. Of course, nobody sweats the grammatical details like a Latin teacher. In 2013, I completed a total reworking of a website for Morgan Stanley. Recently, I have written an eBook for Baron Capital Management, in New York. Before that, I worked as a Web Strategist, Marketing Analyst, and Copywriter for futuresknowledge.com in Edmonton, Alberta. I have written about 20 of the articles on this site. My formal education in Finance, Economics, and global markets continued at the Chicago Board of Trade Institute of Finance, where I completed three years of study, completing 10 courses, among them Financial Futures, Finance, and Advanced Options.Investment Research

Strategic Advisory for Startups & Early-Stage Companies I've spent thirty years on both sides of this equation - building my own ventures and evaluating investment opportunities for private equity firms and family offices. This dual perspective helps me guide startups through the critical decisions that determine long-term success. What I focus on: I help early-stage companies develop their strategic direction and prepare for capital raising. This includes refining your business model, building financial projections that investors believe, and positioning your company for successful funding rounds. My private equity background means I know what makes investors say yes. I've seen thousands of pitches and know the difference between companies that get funded and those that don't. I can help you tell your story in a way that resonates with sophisticated capital providers. Recent work: Recent projects have included work with companies in insurtech, cooling solutions for AI chips, and data analytics and valuation services. I helped one startup secure selection to Lloyd's Lab accelerator program, structured a partnership with Fortune 500 company, and develop the strategic frameworks that support sustainable growth. The focus is always on building long-term value, not just raising the next round. If you're building something significant and want strategic advice from someone who's been on both sides of the investment table, let's talk.Investment Research

I have spent more than 30 years in the Financial Services industry as an analyst, investment manager, and financial planner. I managed a comprehensive $8 billion dollar investment portfolio comprised of fixed income (mortgages, corporate bonds, municipal bonds) and stocks. I was one of the first in the insurance industry to utilize stock options to mitigate common stock risk. I became a Financial Planner and earned my Series 6, 7, 63, and 65 designations, as well as RIA certification. For more than 40 years I have also been on the faculty of North Central College, teaching a broad array of finance and economics courses at both the graduate and undergraduate levels. My biggest pleasure comes from giving my students a competitive advantage in the industry by bridging the gap between academic theory and real world application.Investment Research

I am the founder of RISE Investments, an independent fiduciary wealth management firm. While I allocate the majority of my time to serving as a financial advisor for RISE's client's, I am also responsible for the company's business operations, service line offerings, and alternative investment manager/fund selection. I am committed to fostering an innovative and client success focused culture to help bring prosperity and well-being to my clients. I specialize in helping individuals, families, and businesses achieve their financial goals through personalized wealth management strategies. With a deep understanding of financial markets, financial planning, tax reduction strategies, and estate planning, I provide tailored advice designed to help my clients grow, protect, and optimize wealth over the long term. My approach goes beyond just managing investments; I focus on building lasting relationships and delivering comprehensive financial solutions, from retirement planning and estate management to tax-efficient strategies and ESOP optimization. My goal is to empower my clients with the knowledge and tools they need to make informed decisions, ensuring financial peace of mind for today and the future. Being a life-long guru of investing and methods to achieve financial freedom and success, I started RISE Investments in February 2019 as a part-time endeavor to provide tax and cost-efficient investment management and financial solutions to my friends and family members. In November 2024, I transitioned to focus my full-time efforts on RISE. Prior to dedicating my career to my business, I spent seven years in the real estate private equity industry at Origin Investments. During that tenure, I built-out and led the company's business development and investor relations team, was a key contributor to the company's 5x growth over that time period, and served over 1,000 high-net-worth individual clients; providing education and investment solution recommendations to help them achieve their financial goals and objectives. Prior to Origin, I began my financial and investment career at Duff & Phelps, a leading global valuation and corporate finance advisor. At Duff & Phelps, I was a member of the Valuation Advisory group where I focused on detailed business enterprise valuation for use in the corporate acquisition process. I earned my Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Kent State University and Master of Science degree in Corporate Finance and Real Estate from The Ohio State University. I reside in Chicago with my wife, Jackie, and our mini Bernedoodle, Fonzie. Outside of the office, I enjoy spending time with his family, being productive with home improvements, traveling, skiing, boating, and golfing.Investment Research
