We are looking to gather data from some distributors’ websites. The purpose of the project is ultimately to compare prices and delivery estimates (when available) for the same and/or similar products from the various websites. We’d like help gathering product data into a CSV or Excel file so we can make the comparisons. We’d like to start with just the pallet jack category but add more categories afterwards for additional projects if all goes well. If possible, it’d be ideal to have this done within the next few weeks but we’re flexible. I’ve included some more site-specific details below. When you click on an item, a drop-down box appears. By clicking “View Product Details,” you’re redirected to a product page. From the product page, we’d like to gather the Model # at the top, price for 1-2 units, price for 3+ units (when available), when it ships (there is a spot where you can enter a zip code but leave it blank), and all of the boxes under “Specifications” further down the page. I’ve included three examples in the attached spreadsheet under the “Global Industrial” tab. With the specifications, there’s some nuance. Not every pallet jack will have all of the same listed types of specifications. For example, the first example pallet jacket has a specification box called “Duty Cycle” while the second and third examples don’t. I’m not sure if it’s easy for you to work around this and add columns with new specification types to include one-off item specifications. Let me know if not, so we can cut down what we extract.
