I'm a full-time stock trader and seasoned algorithmic trading developer with a deep background in both discretionary and systematic trading. I began my career trading equities at multiple hedge funds, where I gradually transitioned toward a fully systematic approach—automating, testing, and refining strategies to gain consistent edge in the markets. Over the years, I’ve developed and deployed over 1,000 trading algorithms across all major asset classes (equities, futures, forex, crypto, options) and strategy types (mean reversion, momentum, market-making, arbitrage, stat arb, ML-based models, and more). My clients have ranged from solo retail traders to the heads of multi-billion-dollar hedge funds. Whether you're looking to prototype a strategy, scale an existing model, integrate with brokers and data feeds, or build robust backtesting and execution infrastructure—I can help you bring it to life with both the precision of a developer and the insight of a trader. What I offer: - Strategy development (any asset class, any timeframe) - Backtesting engines and research platforms - High-performance, low-latency execution systems - Broker/API integrations (Interactive Brokers, DAS, FIX, etc.) - Platform-specific development (NinjaTrader, QuantConnect, TradingView, MetaTrader, and custom solutions) - Data processing, visualization, and analytics - Fintech software solutions - Production ready web applications Let’s work together to turn your trading ideas into production-ready systems. In specific cases, I also offer live 1 on 1 consulting for double my standard development hourly rate.Economics

I look forward to assisting you in any writing, editing, or academic mentoring capacity. I am a Senior Fellow with the Center for Environment and Sustainability, and a Research Professor of Biology, at Wake Forest University. I am in a role that allows me to work remotely and pursue opportunities outside my teaching and research efforts at Wake Forest. Before pursuing this more flexible academic track, I was a tenured Full Professor at North Carolina State University, a Chancellor’s Faculty Excellence Fellow in the Applied Ecology Department hired as a founding member of the Global Environmental Change and Human Well-being Cluster. I received my Ph.D. in Ecology and Evolution from Texas A&M University in 2004 (with a Minor in Philosophy). I was also a Yale Donnelley Postdoctoral Fellow and completed a year-long Fulbright Scholarship for research and education projects in Venezuela. I have 158 publications (cited more than 18,500 times; h-index of 63) in 67 different peer-reviewed journals, spanning many sub-disciplines. I have served as Editor-in-Chief for the peer-reviewed journals Food Webs and Caribbean Naturalist and as Handling Editor for Oecologia and PLoS One. I am a part-time Research Leadership and Success Consultant for the company CareerVolt, which requires expertise in grant proposal/manuscript writing and editing. Over the last three years, I have reviewed/edited for more than 150 different journals and 12 different funding agencies. These experiences reflect a strong foundation to build from in scientific writing and editing roles. Throughout my 28 years of teaching and mentoring secondary, undergraduate, and graduate students, I have emphasized the importance of effective written communication. I enjoy this process-based approach to education that helps others hone their writing skills. In doing so, I have gained experience with the formats and conventions of disciplines different than mine and with people on varied career paths. I recognize the importance of crafting writing for specific target audiences—a key consideration in any writing endeavor. Please send me a message, and we can discuss your particular needs. I hope I can help! Sincerely, Dr. Craig LaymanEconomics

For 32 years, I worked in educational and academic publishing, first as a content editor for Harcourt Brace and Holt, Rinehart and Winston and then as Vice President and Director of Humanities for McGraw-Hill Education. In that role, I oversaw publication of all humanities projects and ensured that MHE rose to become the leading humanities publisher. • In 2014, I left MHE to return to my first love--hands-on editing. • I have worked for a variety of clients, including MHE, Contentra Technologies, The Today Foundation, and MDPI, an open-access publisher of international academic, scientific, and professional journals. • I am equally comfortable with developmental editing, line editing, and copy editing and have a great love of and respect for the English language. • I hold a B.A., cum laude, Phi Beta Kappa, from Washington and Lee University, with a double major in history and communications and an M.S. in Education, summa cum laude, with an emphasis on instructional design, from Northern Illinois University. • Having so much editorial experience, I am naturally experienced with CMS, ACS, MLA, AMA, and APA styles. While I do not have the latest iteration of each memorized, I know where to look to find the answers quickly. • I have worked in a variety of CMSs, including Habitat, InCopy, InDesign, and LaTex. • I believe that active communication is key when undertaking a project. Keeping all stakeholders informed effectively deals with small issues before they become major ones and streamlines product development.Economics

I am a professor of economics at Seattle University (previously California State University Fullerton) with a PhD in economics from the University of Washington. I specialize in microeconomics and quantitative analysis, especially using observational data (although I have my share of experiment design experience as well). I have more than ten years of experience using Stata, and can help you with any Stata coding issues you have, or can help you learn Stata yourself. I am also an expert in R and have authored several moderately popular packages on CRAN. I can help with coding in some other packages or languages, such as Python, but I have less experience with those. I can help with research design, analysis, and data cleaning/preparation, either for projects that use observational administrative or government data, or for experimental design. Finally, I do plenty of work helping people edit or revise their research writing. As of this writing, I have thirteen published papers in applied economics and econometrics, and many more in the pipeline. I have extensive experience as a mentor and tutor helping people with their own class projects, theses, dissertations, or nonacademic research projects. I have many years of teaching and tutoring experience. I am a full-time professor, and am looking for supplementary work in order to save up for some major purchases. What I don't do: Please note that I am an economist, not a financier or businessperson. I am unlikely to be able to help you design investment plans, business operations, or a blockchain white paper. I'm also not a specialist in time series analysis. If you've already figured out how you want your time series model run and you just want someone to code it up, I can help with that. But if you want someone to help design your time series model you may be better off with a time series expert. Finally, I do most of my contract work late at night. While I can certainly meet via phone or videocall once or twice to get a project set up, if your job requires a lot of meetings, I'm probably not the right person for you. Hourly rate can be negotiated depending on the project, but I am unlikely to accept a significant cut.Economics

I have been a writer, blogger, and novelist for the past five and half years, opining mightily on sites like the Yahoo! ContributorNetwork, Examiner, Helium, DigitalJournal, HubPages, and The News Hub. I have also written for my local newspaper and published a handful of political thrillers. When it comes to producing political-based content, I'm your man! Before I became a writer, I earned Bachelor's degrees in Criminal Justice and Political Science, followed by a Master's degree in Public Administration. Then I took the road less traveled and became a teacher, receiving a post-baccalaureate certification after doing a year of graduate-level Sociology. After working as a substitute teacher for a year, and as a student-teacher for a semester, I received certifications in secondary-level social studies, English, and speech. Today, I am the Social Studies Department Chair at a 6A-sized public high school in Texas and teach both AP Economics and AP Government. I've been a wordsmith since my youth, and was a state-level extemporaneous speaker and debater in high school. In college, I was a professional comic strip artist and had a popular daily feature that ran for four years! Today, I editorialize daily and can bring enough wit and research to win any argument.Economics
