    Paying too much for an investment, no matter how attractive it is, could destroy the rate of return. Likewise, purchasing a poor investment, at any price, can risk total loss in the investment. The process of evaluating an investment typically involves approximating future cash flows or price of the venture and then discounting it with the desired rate of return to determine the ideal maximum amount that you should pay in today's dollars. This process involves making several assumptions and the ability to determine the present and future growth rates that the investment will experience. These assumptions if made incorrectly can destroy the evaluation of an investment. The number one rule in investing is "Don't Lose Money". When done right, investors have a rational unemotional opinion on an investment and act only when there is a near guarantee of success. This is nearly impossible, to have an emotionally detached opinion on an investment when using capital and assets that you own. This is where I come in as an investment consultant. I can provide a third-party and objective opinion on investment real estate, bonds, stock equities, and private businesses. This is beneficial to your business because it can provide security that an outside opinion was used to determine the attractiveness of the potential investment. All information is kept confidentially in order to protect your investment ideas and strategies. These financial models are based off of strong research and qualified assumptions. The issue that most investors and businesses struggle with, is keeping a rational opionion on an investment void of emotion. Money can cause a rational intelligent person to think irrationally in certain circumstances. I use a series of tools, both developed and from outside sources, to properly value an investment. Provided with your firms general requirements, I can provide a value range on the investment, clearly stated assumptions that were made, data to support analysis and assumptions, and reports and documentation for your business use.
