With a background in the Fabrication and Manufacturing industry for more than 16 years, I decided to try a career change to a different industry, on my journey so far I have done work as a Virtual Assistant and Customer Support Agent and have added to my problem-solving, communication, and adaptability skills that I can now leverage further in my journey. I spent months researching the field and what careers it has to offer, and with Information Technology being a broad profession, I decided to start by learning Web Development and have recently completed the freeCodeCamp’s Responsive Web Design certification, in this course I have created projects using basic HTML and CSS, I have also learned how to make use of Flexbox and Grid for layouts and media queries for responsive design. I still have a long way to go on my journey but I have acquired a huge passion and eagerness to learn further to excel in this field. I have also learnt the basics of version control using Git, Linux basic commands and SEO in web development. I am currently learning JavaScript fundamentals also on freeCodeCamp.
