Do your projects stall due to misaligned workflows, communication breakdowns, or scope creep? I specialize in bringing structure to complex, multi-stakeholder operations. My expertise is grounded in over seven years of enterprise property management, where I’ve served as a Senior Property Manager and Portfolio Property Manager overseeing 167+ unit LIHTC and condominium portfolios. I’m accustomed to managing large-scale budgets, coordinating vendors, supervising staff, and navigating strict regulatory compliance (HUD/Section 8). Now, I combine this rigorous financial and operational acumen with modern digital project management methodologies to help remote teams, agencies, and real estate businesses execute flawlessly. I know how to keep initiatives on schedule, on budget, and free of bottlenecks. What I bring to your team: Operations & Real Estate Acumen: Extensive background in multi-million dollar asset management, property operations software (Yardi, OneSite, Sage), and complex regulatory compliance. Timeline & Scope Management: I build realistic schedules, map dependencies, and control scope creep using structured change management and Agile frameworks. Cross-Functional Leadership: I serve as the bridge between internal teams, external vendors, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure total alignment on deliverables. Financial & Resource Allocation: Deep experience in budgeting, cost tracking, rent roll analysis, and mitigating financial risk. Workspace Architecture: I design and optimize digital workflows in Asana, Trello, Notion, and Google Workspace to eliminate manual friction. Currently completing my Google Project Management Professional Certificate and holding CMCA & Notary Public credentials, I approach every engagement with clear documentation, proactive risk assessment, and a focus on business outcomes. Whether you need a digital workspace built from scratch, real estate project oversight, or a steady hand to rescue an off-track initiative, let's schedule a brief call to discuss your current operational blockers.

I help builders, remodelers, and general contractors get their operations out of chaos and into a system that actually works built around how your jobs run, not how the software assumes they do. My focus is JobTread. Not as a reseller. Not as someone who read the documentation once. I work inside JobTread daily, building and fixing real setups for real construction businesses. I know where the gaps are, why your cost codes feel incomplete, and why your invoices keep getting questioned and I know how to fix all of it. 𝗛𝗲𝗿𝗲 𝗶𝘀 𝘄𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗜 𝗱𝗼: - JobTread setup and implementation: cost codes, budgets, catalog, templates, and workflows built from scratch around your business. - JobTread audits: I review your existing account, identify what is broken, and hand you a prioritized punch list with clear fixes. - Job costing cleanup: proper budget-to-actual tracking so you stop finding out a job lost money after it is already closed. - Cost-plus and fixed-price invoicing: clean invoices with backup your clients cannot argue with Change order tracking: priced, documented, approved, and invoiced instead of buried in a group chat. - QuickBooks Online integration: getting JobTread and QBO to agree so job costs, vendor bills, and payments land in the right place. - Vendor and subcontractor management: bills coded correctly, COIs tracked, files ready for audit Construction workflows: leads, proposals, follow-ups, and project handoffs running inside one system instead of five. 𝗪𝗵𝘆 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗺𝗲? Before I came to Upwork, I ran operations and compliance for a general contractor managing 30+ active renovation projects simultaneously. I have lived the exact chaos you are trying to escape the half-built cost codes, the change orders nobody can find, the QuickBooks that tells a completely different story than the job. I did not learn this from a course. I learned it on the floor. I hold 7 JobTread certifications including Administrator, Estimator, Field Staff, Project Manager, Bookkeeper, API, and Workflow the full stack. I am available 30+ hours per week, I respond quickly, I explain everything in plain language, and when I am done, your team can actually run what I built without calling me every week. 𝗪𝗵𝗼 𝗜 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵: - General contractors and remodelers who bought JobTread and never fully set it up - Builders scaling past what spreadsheets and sticky notes can handle - Construction business owners whose numbers feel off and whose clients keep pushing back on invoices - Companies that need QuickBooks and JobTread to finally agree with each other 𝗦𝗲𝗻𝗱 𝗺𝗲 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗺𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗯𝗹𝗲𝗺. WHY CLIENTS HIRE ME Colleagues describe me as the person who stays calm, gets teams unstuck, and explains not only what needs to change, but why. I bring financial rigor to proposal development and practical business judgment to impact measurement. How much does it cost to hire a project budgeter?

Project budget freelancers plan, administer, and monitor business projects. While budgets can sometimes be fluid over the course of a project, a project management freelancer is adept at setting costs, allocating how they will be spread out over time, and using software to track and intermittently report expenses. Even strong planning can not always foresee changing circumstances or unexpected roadblocks. These freelancers have to be flexible and creative to adjust along the way and/or compensate to prevent potential overruns.

The hourly rate for most project budget freelancers on Upwork is $13 to $44, but project managers with more experience or specialized knowledge might well charge higher rates.

What impacts the cost of hiring a project budget freelancer?

It’s good to have a well-focused goal, an idea of what you’re willing to spend, and what steps you want to take to accomplish the goal. If you have data from previous successful projects, that can help show how your company has dealt with these challenges in the past and potentially provide an initial blueprint, including costs.

The better the information that you develop up front, the more you’ll help a project budget freelancer properly identify your needs and the demands on his time so he can give you the best estimate of his hourly rate or fixed price. But it’s important to be open to suggestions in the best way to accomplish the goal.

A business might even have multiple projects in mind, but a fixed amount of money it can spend. A project manager might be able to help you figure out how to prioritize them and which initiatives are financially feasible in a given year.

Project Scope

The flexibility of your budget may determine whether you use a top-down (set a budget and spread out the dollars) or bottom-up (determine cost of tasks needed and add up the bottom line) method of budgeting. Perhaps you have a reference point from previous similar projects. Or, your project management freelancer could determine best- and worst-case scenarios and set a reasonable target in between.

It’s also important to consider the scope of work. A less-experienced project budget manager might be fine for a small business’s simpler, less-complex initiative. At the same time, some very sharp young fiscal minds who possess the necessary budget preparation and tracking skills may offer lower freelance rates in an attempt to build their new client base.

A more-experienced project manager will likely have higher rates, but their years of experience might bring the ideas and savvy to more efficiently achieve the best results in the allotted amount of time and in a cost-effective way. It’s one thing to have the basics to set up a project, but an experienced project freelancer might also provide extraordinary leadership, organizational, crisis resolution, and communication skills.

Geography

Every location has its own cost of living, and this will affect a project management freelancer’s hourly rates and subsequently, your budget. You can hire freelancers from around the globe, but there are a few considerations before hiring one who isn’t local to you.

Your freelance professional’s time zone can affect a project timeline and budget. If your designer is 10 hours ahead or behind your time zone, communication could be delayed unless a person at one end of the equation can make themselves available when necessary.

Language might be an even more critical factor in hiring a project budget freelancer. It can be more difficult to clearly communicate ideas and how to adjust if you don’t speak the same language fluently. Conduct interviews to explain your requirements and get a feel for their communication skills and understanding of the project.

Other factors that may impact the cost

High-quality budgeting on the front end, especially for big projects, sets the standards for how tasks will be carried out and milestones met. It’s a key factor in setting expectations for workers and managing labor costs for your project. A project manager’s experience may help them better foresee the pitfalls of a certain task and help set a better path from the start.

The type of project—whether it’s a generalized business initiative or an industry specific endeavor—could dictate hiring a project budget manager with a certain skill set or experience in your line (clothing, food products, etc.) or type (ecommerce, manufacturing, service, etc.) of business. In some instances, it might be critical to have someone with specialized experience, though they will likely come with higher hourly rates.
