Over the last 20 years, I have built my career as a writer, editor and leader at media companies around one basic task: Effectively telling stories. That skill has been put into practice in various forms - through interviewing sources and researching facts for stories I was writing, combing through the written words of my employees to help them be better at doing the same, and leading an entire department in the creative direction of the stories we were planning to cover. My specialty is conveying what can sometimes be complicated topics into messages that targeted audiences can understand in a way that is both informative and fun to read. This allows me tell the "story" of an interesting resident of a town, break down complicated laws into layman's terms or help others do the same. I am experienced and proficient in AP Style, and can write and edit for all forms of media - be it in print, a newsletter or a blog - and can take on any topic in any field.AP Style Writing

Top skills in academic, business, fiction, and nonfiction for proofreading, editing, and formatting: Please note that I am a very detailed editor, and I don't usually accept unreasonable rush jobs. If in doubt, please ask though. I thrive on finding mistakes in grammar, spelling, context, syntax, redundancies, repetitions, punctuation, and in facts. The Chicago Manual of Style and APA are home for me, and Webster's Unabridged is my main daily haunt. I also work in MLA, GPO, Vancouver, Harvard, AMA, and AP as well. I love digging into research, too. Academics are my first love, but I am just as comfortable working with businesses and helping authors with their prose. I enjoy coaching and explaining why I am suggesting changes, so there can be growth on the author's part if so desired. It's not about the money—it's about the game! I like the challenge of finding as many errors as possible. I like the challenge of making you look your best. This is why I prefer flat rate to hourly. With a flat fee, the work can be developed without worry. It can be delivered with pride. Because my job is to make your work look good, in most cases, I can't do that while rushing. So unless a rush job is timed appropriately for the level of detailed editing that I do, I can't accommodate rush jobs. Feel free to ask though. It never hurts to ask. There are periods of downtime occasionally. And I like to give back to the community. So, if there isn't a lot of money to work with, please inquire. It never hurts to ask, and if I do have the time, I may be able to help. If you do, please mention that you read my review and would like help on the pricing. To learn about my editing process, ask me for my bio.AP Style Writing

WHAT YOU NEED: You've got the story, you'd just like some help telling it. You've got the product, but you need the creative copy and content marketing that will spread the word. You've got the grades, but will your personal statement get you into an Ivy League school? WHO I AM: I'm a Brooklyn-based writer and editor with over eight years of experience in journalism, editing, and writing both creative and promotional. As a student at the University of Southern California (USC), I studied Print & Digital Journalism for two years, during which time I contributed to numerous student and independent publications as a writer and editor. I switched majors my sophomore year and graduated Phi Beta Kappa and Magna Cum Laude with a B.A. in Narrative Studies, an interdisciplinary writing and literature degree. Since 2015, I have operated a peer-to-peer editing service called Run The Jules, focusing mostly on remote editing for academic essays, college applications and medical/law school applications. My students have gained entry to prestigious institutions such as Brown University, UCLA, LMU, USC Keck Medical School, and Harvard Law School. I currently serve as the copy editor for monthly trade journal mg Magazine and a staff copywriter for 1o8 Agency, where I write blog posts, white papers and web copy for businesses in a variety of niches, from higher education to quantum computing. For three years, I served as Head Writer and Copy Editor for Lafayette Social, a Bay Area-based publication with a circulation of about 10,000. In addition to penning three of the magazine's feature stories each month, I edited and proofread the entire magazine from rough draft to final proof, ensuring that our content was consistent and professional. When I'm not editing, I work in music licensing and enjoy camping, going to concerts, and playing guitar. As a graduate of the Americorps National Civilian Community Corps (NCCC), I value service to my community and spent years volunteering with food security and gardening-oriented nonprofits around the LA area. WHAT I OFFER: • proofreading/copy editing (digital content, blogs, academic writing and business writing) • content creation for blogs, online publications and marketing campaigns • editing and advising on college and graduate school application essays, cover letters, grants and scholarship essays • press releases, creative advertising copy, social media copy, promotional content • quick turnaround, reliable communication, constructive feedback Life is busy, and writing isn't easy. Either you think you can impact the world with your ideas or not, you are right. There has always been a thin line between remaining mediocre and actually getting your voice heard. And what better way to get people to hear you than to let them into your headspace with professionally drafted pieces. It’s simple – hire one of the most competent GHOSTWRITERS you will find anywhere in the world. Professionals all over the world always strive to ensure one thing – satisfy their audience/clients and put a smile on their faces. Musicians do this with their voice, while comedians do this with their puns. With an undeniably impressive educational and professional background, I achieve this with a grand use and twist of words while turning your ideas into masterpieces for professional publications and publishing! I edit, ghostwrite, design, and produce content just as easily as a footballer will tie his shoelace.
