My strengths are in proofreading and copyediting nonfiction works, particularly in the self-development, self-help and memoir genres. Although I also have experience with sci-fi, dystopian, fantasy and junior fiction. The three most recent manuscripts I have edited have been: two memoirs based on neuroscience, trauma and self-development, and one historical fiction based on true historical events. Prior to commencing my freelance career, I completed a three-month internship as an assistant editor for an independent book publisher. I read and edited manuscripts for typography and grammar errors, and offered feedback on plot, pacing and characterisation.
