We are seeking an experienced project management consultant to oversee specific initiatives and deliver projects on time, within budget, and aligned with strategic goals. 

 

The ideal candidate will collaborate closely with stakeholders and project teams to develop robust project plans, optimize workflows, and manage risks throughout the project lifecycle. This role demands strong leadership, effective communication, and a proven ability to facilitate collaboration across departments.

Key Responsibilities 

The project management consultant will:

  • Develop project plans. Define clear objectives, timelines, and deliverables while ensuring alignment with organizational priorities.
  • Manage project risks. Identify potential obstacles, implement mitigation strategies, and adjust plans as needed to ensure smooth execution.
  • Optimize workflows. Analyze existing processes to identify inefficiencies and recommend improvements for greater productivity.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders. Facilitate communication among project teams, PMOs, and key decision-makers to maintain alignment on project goals.
  • Lead project teams. Assign tasks based on team members' strengths, monitor progress, and provide guidance to ensure successful project completion.
  • Oversee project lifecycle. Manage all phases, from initiation and planning to execution, monitoring, and closure, using Agile or PMI standards as appropriate.
  • Ensure compliance. Adhere to industry best practices, such as PMBOK guidelines, while aligning with company policies and objectives.

Qualifications and Skills 

Ideal candidates for this role will have the following:

  • Education: A bachelor's degree in project management, business administration, or a related field is required. A master's degree is preferred. PMP certification is highly desirable.
  • Work experience: Five or more years of experience managing complex projects across industries, with a strong understanding of consulting services and specific project demands.
  • Technical skills: Proficiency in project management software such as Asana, Trello, or Basecamp, as well as familiarity with PMI methodologies and tools like PMBOK.
  • Soft skills: Exceptional communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills. Strong organizational skills with a demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Additional skills: Knowledge of risk management strategies, process improvement, and the ability to analyze and optimize project inefficiencies.
