This leads to substantial loss of potential value and profits, easily in the billions for larger corporations. With particular focus on software engineering departments, I offer a special service where I join your company for few days/weeks/months (depending on the task and size) and carefully study "what is working well, what not so well, and what is going rogue". I do this with focus on multiple levels and angles (technical, individual, relational, cultural, social, organizational, philosophical, ethical, logical, ...) tailoring to the current, specific needs and findings. Then I present my findings, and work with you trying to identify the best course of action. There are multiple subtle, complex, hard to grasp problems and issues with each organization, each of which might seem trivial or even "silly": being able to identify them is a delicate art and never ending job, but the more we can address, the more likely the company is to grow and thrive on the long term (similarly to how quality education is likely the most valuable investments on a person, even though it's hard to see how each piece of information we learn contributes to a successful life). For younger engineers or people newer to the profession: I am an experienced interviewer and can help prepare to interview for Software Engineer roles at Big Tech companies (and many more which follow similar processes) - For this I charge a MUCH lower rate, as a way to give back for the help I received when it was my turn. I am also open to discuss different financial arrangements, depending on the nature of the job, and offer significantly lower rates for early stage companies, or jobs which are particularly interesting and/or ethically sound (research institutions, schools, universities, socially or environmentally useful causes, advancement or communication of science, ...).
